We finally get Puyo Puyo. It's been forever it seems.
And it's getting a physical version too? Oh man. Switch is gonna be a physical collector's dream.

I've been watching gameplay of this, and I think I'm sold on it. Lots of gameplay modes, a colorful, fun aesthetic, and I could see myself playing this off and on for years to come (I recently tried Puyo Puyo and discovered that I'm rubbish at it, but I'm willing to get better, and I like to think that I'm pretty good at Tetris).

@faint $10 extra for two keychains. To be fair, who really cares about that?

Meh, probably very few people.
But what people should care about is getting a console and portable game in one. Not that it's a reason to specifically buy physical, but that's the reason to buy over any other version for sure. The fact it's a cartridge though, lets be honest, that's too cool. It's been a long time since we had a console with cartridges

Damn this game is hard, the AI constantly crushes me with garbage blocks. On the otherhand, you get to sample what HD rumble is like if you skipped on 1-2-Switch.
The extra 10 bucks over the PS4 version is worth the portability for me. And this is the perfect game to just take the Switch out of the dock and mess around with for 15 minutes while the family is watching something else on TV.

Puyo Puyo AI has always been like that, or at least since 2. Lightning reflexes and killer precision on anything higher than entry level. And even that only makes them slower, they'll still Rensa (combo) the bejeesus out of you if given the chance.
Matches are a test of both your skill, and a bit of luck with both the draw of pieces and the dropping of junk at critical moments and locations. Probably why it ended up so successful as an arcade title, you can never be totally sure what will happen at any given moment, making games more exciting (and tempting to drop quarters on).
I like the demo - I MAY get it. Still up in the air. I've always played Tetris, but now it seems so complicated with all the different combo points and stuff. Was pretty intimidating going through the advanced tutorials lol
I was totally going to buy this, but the demo is just too generous! Both the best modes are available and there doesn't seem to be any limit on how often you play.
There are other games I will now spend my money on first, and I feel a bit bad that this generosity has lost them a sale.
My only gripe is you can't see your play time, seems you can on some demos so far which prompt you to select a profile but not others. I tried the UK demo but it's the same, so I'm sticking with the Japanese version.
