I only just discovered that Peach can slide down the banisters in the theatre.

@Uncle_Franklin I love those little touches in the game so much. I think there is one other place she can slide as well in one of the plays.

Been playing last night and I noticed that when you save those yellow guys and they start dancing, Peach dances along when she's right next to them! It's so cute! I even laughed in a "that's so cute" way when I saw them dance together.

@Uncle_Franklin I noticed that when I was playing the demo. It reminds me of Mary Poppins in a way... albeit without the spoonful of sugar song of course!

@Uncle_Franklin Like... on purpose or is your controller messed up? I have zero screen shots.

I gotta say I am really enjoying this game a lot. The music, the themes, the collecting feels fun but not stressful and the little details. I wouldn’t mind this becoming a series. Japan has such a rich theater tradition so there is a lot that can be used as inspiration for a sequel.

I held off, but my daughter and I were in Gamestop the other day and she loved the demo, so yea... I got it haha

Gonna start playing it with her today. I did play the demo and enjoyed it, but I wasn't planning on buying until it was on sale. Oh well. Nintendo got me again haha

@rallydefault Hope you and your daughter enjoy it! The full game is definitely better than the demo. Honestly it's a great experience. It's still my favorite game so far this year.

@FishyS Same. Followed closely by Mario Vs. Donkey Kong. Paper Mario TTYD may pip it, but I am loving this so far. For the year seen by many as Nintendo's 'filler year', I am having a lot of fun with the output!

Also, in a way, this game has some darker overtones than one would think!

I hope this is Peach's 'thing' like Luigi has the Mansion games. I would for sure buy 'Princess Peach: Showtime! Encore!'.

Do we think Madame Grape may also become Peach's Bowser/King Boo?

BTW - I added you as a friend on the Switch. Hope that is ok!

I thought it was interesting the ESRB rating for Peach was 10+ when most Mario games are E for everyone.

And I agree, I really hope this becomes it's own sub-franchise. The 'you are living a play while also playing a game' aspect worked really well, but I bet they could do a variety of things centered around the costume changes even in somewhat different venues also if they decided they didn't want every game to be in theatre. I feel like the game doesn't get enough praise for the fact that even after playing, it doesn't easily fit into any of the 'standard' genres; it's so rare a game has that level of creativity and does it well.

Not sure how I feel about Madame Grape herself, but I liked her cast. Although the last battle was pretty hilarious.

And sure, I'll add you on Switch.

Reviving this thread as playing this again after I 100 percented TTYD. Finding the hidden Ninjas that appear on every level post game is my current objective (adds a lot to the playtime!). Though, the stipulations for the boss battles for extra sparkles that appear post game are very unappealing. I am not sure I will ever be able to beat them . Things like beating Madame Grape without getting hit once? For a game many dismissed as an easy kids game, it has a lot of insanely tricky bits if you want to 100 percent. Similar to how Kirby often is!

Aside from that, I still really like this game and think it got forgotten too soon!

@Mana_Knight I don't think it has been totally forgotten given it shows up on the monthly sales lists sometimes; I suspect there has been a trickle of 'birthday buys' of the game all year. I'm curious to see the end of year sales data to see if it gets to 2 million sales total or if it is stuck at a million and change. I hope it does; great game overall and I want a sequel someday. Honestly it's still my favorite game I've played this year although that could easily change as soon as I play Zelda.

I admit although I really enjoyed 100%-ing the main game, some of the post-game goals didn't interest me enough to bother with.
