I'm starting to realize that if X is the future of the Xenoblade series, then I only have one Nintendo-produced series I haven't given up on. Luigi's Mansion. Nintendo is really going to have to pull it back together on Zelda and Animal Crossing for me to want to get the next console.

@VoidofLight It still surprises me that you like Luigi's Mansion 3, given your opinions on other Switch era releases. That game has a pretty vocal group of people that absolutely do NOT like it because of the more light-hearted goofy tone compared to the original, as well as the structure not being the same as the original (though better than the mission/level structure of 2).
@IceClimbers The reason why I like it is moreso just chalking up the original to being a very good fluke. It's tone doesn't really fit with Mario and the spin-offs around the series, so it feels like it was inevitable that the newer ones wouldn't be like the original. That being said, I genuinely dislike Luigi's Mansion 2 (about as much as I dislike Xenoblade Chronicles X). I liked Luigi's Mansion 3 though, since while it was more light-hearted than the original game, they still kept what I loved about the original. The exploration being pretty similar, and the portrait ghosts returning in some form or fashion.

@VoidofLight Xenoblade X definitely isn't the future of Xenoblade. It's essentially a seperate franchise. We just got two new xenoblade games and a remake of the first one on switch, and now we're getting a port of X in the final days of the console. I personally hope Xenoblade X2 happens, but there's no reason to worry about the core xenoblade series either way.
Currently last release of the year is in early November (Brothership on the 7th) when there's usually something later on in November
Metroid Prime 2's 20th anniversary is on November 15th
I think that Nintendo will bring Prime 2 and 3 to Switch before Prime 4 releases
Regarding Prime 4
It appeared in the June general Direct which gives the impressions it's releasing earlier in 2025
January and March are taken up by DKC Returns and XCX respectively
It is normal for Pokemon releases to be on the old console after the new one comes out like Black 2/White 2 on DS so I figure Legends Z-A will be November 2025
Finding a time when Prime 4 isn't overshadowed by either the Switch 2 reveal or 3D Mario
So I came to the conclusion of Prime 4 releasing on February 6th/13th with the Switch 2 reveal being the week beginning 17th/24th respectively. I think Legends Z-A debut gameplay (Pokemon Day 2025) will be running on Switch 2, receiving automatic improvements like how some PS4 games run better on PS5 via backwards compatibility than on PS4.
@Sigran102 Ehhh there's a chance that the ending of Xenoblade 3 is referring to a specific thing in X. I guess we'll have to wait and see what the X remaster does before making any judgements on if the next game is going to connect the series and taint it, or if they'll continue to remain separate.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
@VoidofLight taint it? Wow, you really hate Xenoblade X. What's so offputting about it? I was dissapointed when it came out because it was so different than xenoblade, but with two more xenoblade games using the original style, I really like Xenoblade X for what it is.
@Sigran102 I just really donāt like how generic the world of X feels, and I really donāt like how the game focuses more on the side quests rather than the actual story. I donāt like the lore or the idea that Mira could be the merged planet at the end of Xenoblade 3
Iām also not a fan of the music. It was composed by that guy who did the Attack On Titan score instead of ACE. Thatās like how Bravely Second End Layer didnāt have the original composer on-board, so the music was inferior to the original game and Bravely Default II.

They would have to have catastrophic holiday sales to have a November announcement. I don't think they will fall out of consumer conciousness enough. Quite the opposite in fact.
@Grumblevolcano Interesting. If we donāt get anything in 20 minutes then it will be a bit weird. According to Pyoro, we could be getting something before the investor meeting (although it seems like a smaller announcement).
A NintendoLife user that could talk about Kirby, Pikmin, or Mario RPGs for hours without getting bored!
I donāt follow their feed closely, do they post daily? Has Nintendo announced directs/minis/etc at off times (not early morning PST)? Curious that there hasnāt been a post yet.
@Lazz They do tend to post daily during the week. No post yet today though. Maybe they're saving a later one for tonight like the 20th Oct 2016 tweet...
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
@gcunit thank you, that would be exciting. I am so ready to not be checking online regularly, in hopes that something Switch 2 is announced. With the recent rumors, I find myself refreshing much too often.
@Lazz I just assume itās 100% being revealed next year and have done since early September. That way, if it does happen earlier I will be freaking out only for a few hours though I did get crazy hopeful excited in September when Nintendo were rarely tweeting for 3 days
