Topic: Next Nintendo Direct?

@ElRoberico There is the thing about Pokemon, does Nintendo want to overshadow The Teal Mask with a Direct?

Well that depends on the state of Scarlet/Violet. If the DLC fixes the problems with the base game then Nintendo would want the attention on Pokemon. Meanwhile if nothing changes or it's in a worse state than the base game is currently then the Direct would be a very successful distraction.

@JONOFTHEJONS If it had been announced today, it would have been about 42 minutes ago, at 9:00 CST. However, it's most likely going to be announced tomorrow at the same time, if it's happening at all.

I'm guessing we're getting Pokémon DLC segment with the caption of "out today" and showing a few new pokémon to generate more hype around it I guess?

Lining up this tweet's info with normal DLC release timings it'll probably be 6pm pacific time, 9pm eastern time, 2am UK time.

No direct announcement. Funny part is that people will forget this, and the “credible” leakers will remain “credible” in the public eye.

@Stamina_Wheel anyone could have figured this out, not to be rude to the guy. I think Nintendo didn’t announce anything today thinking Apple’s iPhone event (which had 2.4 million concurrent viewers on YT might I add) would take away from direct viewership. In that sense, Thursday make sense. They couldn’t have done a direct next week because that’s dangerously close to the Tokyo game show

As much as I wanted the Direct announcement to be today, tomorrow seems more likely due to the Pokemon DLC and Apple’s event thing. Really hope this is going to be a good Direct! Also Pyoro has been super quiet for the past few days, wonder if they’re not spoiling anything else? Or Nintendo is eating a chicken right now

I mean.. the most credible leaks pointed to Thursday, so they may still in fact be correct. If it's wrong, a lot of us will feel silly.

@Stamina_Wheel I’m just tired of this sensationalized cycle of “leaks”. Nintendo fans are always the only ones who obsess over this sort of thing, and even when a leaker is proven to be just an attention hog, people still believe them in spite of that. I hated Samushunter, and yet people believed the fraud that they were because they got one thing right. One thing that they stole.

I wish people would stop giving into these attention seekers and would wait patiently like most other people. I’m tired of the youtube clickbait. Tired of people like switchforce covering any and all “leaks” in attempt to garner validation. This cycle only serves to feed those types of people, and when things don’t happen people end up upset. They end up complaining that said thing didn’t happen in the first place, when if they didn’t look into those fraudsters, they wouldn’t even be in that state of mind.
