@PikminMarioKirby What's interesting as well is that the premise of the game is to stitch these islands back together, with you visiting them after they're put back into a whole. Makes me wonder if once you stitch them back together, you're able to traverse the map normally like any other Mario and Luigi game.

The whole island-hopping vibe is giving Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, which is not a bad thing at all
“Why do you speak of certain reversals—machinery connected wrong, for instance, as being ‘ass backwards’? I can’t understand that. Ass usually is backwards, right? You ought to be saying ‘ass forwards,’ if backwards is what you mean."
Another Mario & Luigi character I want to see return besides Starlow is Popple. This island-hopping expedition sounds like a perfect setting for randomly tangling with a traveling thief always looking for some treasure to loot! It only makes sense, see?
@Croctopus yeah, that'd be cool. I liked his inclusion in Dream Team - was funny and didn't feel like cheap fanservice. Was disappointed he wasn't in Paper Jam. Would've been a better choice than Nabbit.

Is it just me, or do the character models look genuinely great this time around? Like they aren't as good as the giant fight character models, but they're still really crisp looking.

@VoidofLight All the islands becoming conntected would be so amazing. Since it was all one big place before, I could definitely see something like that once you get all the islands.
I also really like the character models in this game. They’re very unique and expressive, which is something we don’t see too often in the Mario series.
I hope this game's difficulty is on par with Dream Team. That was probably the most difficult game in the series, which to me was great. It had a nice curve. I feel like recent Mario RPGs have been a bit too easy(especially the SMRPG remake) so I hope Brothership provides more of a challenge this time around. Or at least have an unlockable hard mode.

The overview trailer shows something huge, and it seems completely unintentional. Even with the slowest speed, it is insanely hard to see. It's a before/around 5 minutes in the video, could be major spoilers so be cautious.
Here's footage of Luigi Logic being used in a boss fight:
Gonna be honest: I'm a bit underwhelmed. Sure, very cool to see Luigi pull a Mario 64 against a giant plant monster, but there's not really much more to it than that. If the bosses had a stronger puzzle element to them and more Bros. Attack inputs, I'd be down for more of this Luigi Logic stuff in the fights.
Otherwise? It's just a quick time event.

Seems like the game is already out there, it could very well leak soon (even though it's still 2+ weeks until release!) It may be wise to try avoiding spoilers sooner rather than later. The game seems to be made in Unreal Engine. A few Nintendo games have used it, like Yoshi's Crafted World, Princess Peach Showtime (both made by Good-Feel) and Pikmin 4.
@N00BiSH@VoidofLight I'll be trying to avoid spoilers, but I can post it here once we figure out! Since this game seems to be Unreal Engine, that might be evidence towards the previous-guessed ILCA. ILCA seemingly made Pokemon BDSP in Unity, but I believe their most recent title, Sand Land, was made in Unreal Engine 5, which possibly points towards it truly being ILCA.
@PikminMarioKirby True, but other Nintendo games like Yoshi’s Crafted World also used unreal, so it could be another studio. Given how ILCA has a ton of devs for the other games in the series though, it probably will end up being them.

I like how tutorials are presented. Just these quick little info boxes that don't break the pace of the game. A nice quality of life fix.
Music is also nice. None of it is anywhere on Shimomura's level but it's decent. Gets the job done.
As I unfortunately guessed, there doesn't seem to be much input from the player regarding the Luigi Logic stuff in battles. It's not as strong as the battle mechanics of other M&L titles, just boiling down to basic quick time events. The battle plugs seem to be the stronger mechanic here.
I'm hit or miss this time on Afghani's performances on the brothers. Sometimes it's good, other times, not so much. I also don't think he's nailed the vaguely Italian gibberish. Bit too mumbly for my liking.
The UI(specifically in the menu) is a bit too plain. A minor thing, I know, but other MaRPGs had some strong UI in both form and function.
