Today I bought a 64GB Samsung microSD card from Best Buy (actually only 59.5) today. I did it because I know there’s a way to transfer photos from your Switch to your computer. However, I can’t remember how to actually do it! Can you remind me how?
Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.
Does your PC have a slot for the card directly, @BabyYoshi12.... Or do you have a card reader that takes it? Micro sd cards often come with a converter, to fit into standard slots, too. So, after putting screenshots on the card, power down Switch
Remove & either put into adaptor or into the suitable slot on a reader you've set up & with that all connected, your PC should ask you what you want to do with it
Not as long as it either fits directly, although I have never seen any computer with an actual micro sd card slot, @BabyYoshi12 or you have an adaptor for it
However, if it was one that didn't come with that, multi-card readers are quite cheap and should be easily available, while I don't think there's anywhere to get an adaptor on it's own
Um, I don't have a picture.... It's about the size of the original standard SD cards, so unless you have the adaptor, it's useless There's not that many different slots on a PC & I take it you know which are the USB ports?
None of the others are anything like, so it's quite possible there isn't one, @BabyYoshi12
Yeah but if there's nothing that looks right to you, it probably just isn't there, @BabyYoshi12.... Oh, if it's a tower, the sd slot is most likely on the top but the other style desktops usually have them at the front
Well, it's certainly possible there's no slot on it, @BabyYoshi12.... It'd be the shape for the SD Card to go into, which isn't really much like any other slots on any PC It shouldn't be that difficult or expensive to get a suitable reader, though, so that'll be the alternative
No problem, there was a period during which it was popular to include a specific slot on laptops and desktops, @BabyYoshi12.... But unless you were specifically looking for one with that at the time, it'd be why pay more to have it?
Then, readers became less expensive & it stopped being worth putting them in, really
Well, never done that, @BabyYoshi12 .... I imagine the process should be basically the same, though? Put sd card in reader & plug into your phone/ tablet, let me know if that works Hopefully, it'd come up with 'what do you want to do with this' to choose
