@Zuljaras Its not everyday that we get a by fans for fans game, I have seen little gameplay but the details are great, it really does feel like Harry Potter, the character creator also looks amazing, it lets you create however you want really.
It’s messed up that people need to feel bad for buying a game, with there money, harassing people is never ok, and especially to random people who just wanted to have a good time.
@DreamlandGem Definitely, as it something that probably won’t end well whatsoever, so I will leave my reply’s as they are and not discuss it further.
@Zuljaras : I second your position, but it's not a matter of what you or I think, it's about objective reality, and I resent that the unsuspecting majority have been implicitly co-opted into the movement by proxy through the relentless use of disingenous and deceitful rhetoric that has slipped under their noses (such as the disingenuous use of "gendered bathrooms", when, up until five minutes ago, bathrooms were always segregated on the basis of sex, because that is what most of us would deem an objective standard).
Incidentally, I resent being asked what my "gender" is (as fewer platforms/forms etc. ask what one's "sex" is nowadays, which I would otherwise be happy to disclose) or what I "identify" as, and I will default to not answering such questions, if given the option. I don't "identify" as a man any more than I "identify" as a human being. This is just the inalienable reality of my being (as articulated in a fashion that most people can comprehend), as are my age, height, among other characteristics that are (mostly) beyond my control. And I'm also sympathetic to people who feel inadequate or otherwise out of place in their sex, and I'll confess that I find it strange to be referred to as a "man" well into my adult years. My voice isn't very deep, I've experienced body dysmorphia from a very young age due to a deformity and an infection that made me feel disgusted with myself, and I'm particularly insecure about sounding, acting, or making comments in a manner that isn't particularly masculine. I think a lot of us would find it cathartic/therapeutic if we could at least articulate these things more openly rather than taking drastic measures to spite the vessel that we have been dealt.
As somebody who really enjoys video gaming, I do worry that efforts to be "inclusive" will ultimately exclude me from participating, at least with new/modern games, which is perhaps ironic given that I would tick off several boxes on the so-called "diversity" checklist.
It wasn't all that long ago that we yearned for a society in which man would be judged by the content of his character (over meaningless/superficial attributes), but the so-called "developed world" is fast regressing in this respect.
There are a million and one more things I can say on the topic (and some that I've written but retracted), but considering that even my mildest of comments on the topic tend to get removed by those who can't handle the truth (not necessarily limited to here), I'll leave it at that. But I also suspect that even platforms such as this will become so hostile that I will eventually be driven out of it, and all under the noble guise of "inclusion" and "diversity".
And I don't even agree with 90% of what JK Rowling says, but the way in which she is being tarred and feathered is absolutely ridiculous.
EDIT: It seems that the mod had posted while I was still throwing this together, so, indeedily-dee, I will not pursue this topic further.
@Zuljaras Last comment about this.
1. She says her views are about protecting woman but, like I said, there are other ways. And maybe her views are not born from hatred but what is she advocating? Are the results all that different? Like I said, she wants to make transitioning for trans people harder. And better not talk about the people who she has alligned with, some of them even want to roll back woman rights.
2. The fact that trans woman were born a man can't change. Like I said, noone is saying that it can. But that doesn't excuse being *** to trans people for no reason. You have a point with sports (something that I didn't mention earlier by the way... you seem to be adding new points more than actually answering anything I ask) but like... making transition harder? Forcing trans people to go to their ""correct"" public bathroom? All of this to me just sound like hate. Because it is not necessary. And you still have to show me why it is aside from "violence" and "I believe so".
3. Gender neutral bathrooms could be a way to make people like her shut up. But, due to the fact that trans people are a minority, they are not going to be used much. But, hey, if she stops saying that we should make transitioning ever harder for trans people (which is what she is saying and THE ACTUAL REASON people call her that) and she says that we should do gender neutral bathrooms I would consider that an actual positive improvement. To me with the bathrooms stuff just sounds SO unnecessary tho. Like, would signs in front of a room stop a man wanting to attack a woman?
3.1. Also, individuals feeling "unconfortable" should also be considered as a reason to separate the bathrooms? That makes no sense to me. Like, should we also do a black woman bathroom because certain white woman feel "unconfortable" arround them? I'm sorry, with this I just don't agree at all.
Besides, I've also seen cases of people bullying a woman (like a biological woman) because they thought that she was trans since "she looked too masculine". Since, you know, sometimes trans woman can't be easily distinguished from woman at first glace, meaning that we get cases like that. I'm sorry but this point just sounds like hate to me.
4. The fact that "society" doesn't want to approve the demands of a minority doesn't mean that minority is wrong in asking for those demands. Was gay people wrong for asking for demands in the 80s or 90s?
BONUS: May I remind people that right now multiple anti-trans legislation is being pushed. Like, ones that basically make transitioning illegal. Just wanting to remind people that this is more than bathrooms, sports and kids. It always is. Because stuff like that is used as an easy justification. "Trans people on sports are a problem so we ban trans people and the problem is solved!"
If someone hates trans people because of trolls online then they probably already hated them earlier and wanted more reasons to do it or a complete ignorant. I'm sorry but that's what I believe.
It's so easy nowadays online to do that kind of harrassment, specially with smaller streamers... For all that we know, the people that did that may not even be trans themselves. But, hey, it's their fault either way apperantly.
Edit: Whoops... Mods came. Like I said, this will be my last comment about this.
Still hoping the game comes to switch. However I may buy it on xbox.

I'm a Dream Fighter. Perfume is Love, Perfume is Life.
Started playing last night on PS5 and absolutely love it! I'm only a few hours in so far but it's definitely all I hoped it would be. It's basically what I always dreamed a Harry Potter game could be. I was pretty cautious when they first announced it as it seemed too ambitious but I feel like they pulled it off really well. I thought maybe it would turn into an overhyped failure like Cyberpunk, but I feel like it holds its own against other great open world games like The Witcher and Horizon. That might just be my love for the series talking, but I still think even a non-Harry Potter fan could enjoy this game.
This game is not gonna run on a switch. It's gonna be a cloud version or otherwise it will completely unplayable.
This game is do demanding, that there just isn't the way they can make it run smooth.
@Zuljaras Witcher 3 cant be your argument for everything. Witcher 3 is a decade old now you cant compare that to a video game that gets tailor made for PS5.
I bought the DeLuxe edition for my XBox Series X and the game is absolutely amazing. Goes beyond any expectation I had.
This dev studio really went all out and beyond their love for the franchise and made one hell of a game. Which is rare today, where unfinished, broken/buggy games are tossed on the market as a new standard.
So it's refreshing to say the least. The delays were worth it! They delivered an amazing game.
That said. It would be a crime not to try play this game on PC, XBOX Series X or a PS5. The amazing world they created will never be able to be experienced in full on the Nintendo Switch sadly.
So if it ever releases on the Switch, it will have to end up a blurry heavily scaled down game experience.
Either way. Whatever you think of JK herself, I personally believe this studio and this game deserves a chance!
They had nothing to do with JK, got caught up in this controversy against their will! Seeing and experiencing the game they created, it would be heartbreaking if it gets burried under critique because of JK.
The game they created is so amazing, I would love for it to be succesful and see future expansions / DLC being released for it!
@Jeronan I find it a little disturbing that you agree to my points and quote me, yet you have blocked me as I can see your post only when I log out. It is even strange that I got notification about it.
