Get those hype engines revving, Donkey Kong is back in 3D with this new title drop and is looking pure fire! Super Excited, a world that begs to be explored, and moments that’ll have you hooked for hours. This is going to be Bonkers 🍌
VERY EXICTING ANNOUNCEMENT and that's still underselling it, I feel.
Admittedly, I was skeptical of whether or not there'd even be a 3D Donkey Kong game. Not because I didn't want it to exist but mostly because I assumed it would be a Mario platformer with a Donkey Kong skin on it, nothing too special. Glad to be proven wrong with them aping(HA) from Jungle Beat, namely in how much of a powerhouse DK seems to be, as well as the designs for the new foes he's facing.
The new DK design also looks great. He could stand to be a lot less scruffy though.

This game has Ratchet & Clank level graphics 😍 and I won’t bet against Nintendo to miss on gameplay department, So THIS right here is going up be freaking AWESOME!!!
I was so dead set on the closer being 3D Mario, but this is fine too. It really reminds me of those mining games on mobile, but as a AAA open world game. Very interesting direction for DK, but I think it works.
Probably my third favorite announcement from the Direct, behind MKW and The Duskbloods.
The world deformation stuff reminds me of the Otogi series.

This gives me Jungle Beat vibes, which just recently had its 20th anniversary. Besides the bongos, that game also featured a redesigned Donkey Kong fighting evil Kongs with a crazy aesthetic. I still loved that game even with the lack of fan-favorite characters, so I'm excited for this!
I think there should be returning animals buddies considering the ostriches might allude to Expresso. The whole Kong family should be here. Unfortunately, I'm worried that they shafted the Kremlings yet again. King K. Rool might as well be down there with Wart and Tatanga in the annals of the forgotten video game villains. This game is almost certainly developed by Nintendo EPD, and they included K. Rool as a reference in New Donk City along with animal buddies and Kongs not seen in a long time, but a cameo is just a cameo.
@DanijoEX-The-Kumiho I really like how they're able to convey so much personality through DK's brows and mouth. Reminds me a lot of Aardman's output and I think it manages to convey DK's character on a level than what was present with the previous design.
I just really like the newer art style and direction they are going with for the game. It definitely looks way more cartoony and fantastical than previous DK games, not to mention some of the elements, like some of the objects having eyes, a bit more slapstick and DK being FAR more expressive than previously, definitely gave me a ton of Rareware and Western cartoon vibes, and I just enjoy the direction they are going with for this.
And it being a 3D platformer is definitely exciting, cuz I have a thing for those way more than 2D.
I liked his old design and I like his new design. His expression, when he breaks the wall is awesome. I have high hopes for Bananza. Breaking through everything might be alot of fun.
It looks to me like it's made by the Mario Odyssey team. Which means it is going to be top tier. It also means we might be waiting a while for a new 3D Mario.
Developed by Nintendo EPD Group 8, the Odyssey / Mario Maker / Bower's Fury team.
We're waiting a few more years until we get another 3D or Mario Maker game.

@Dev-N maybe there's some kind of power-up that turns him orange?
Also, the new enemy apes look really good. A significant step up from the boss Kongs in Jungle Beat. I really like how they're all based on actual primates too.
