To each their own, but, what I think is special about Birthdays is that it's just a celebration of the fact that you aren't... well, gone yet. I mean, life is uncertain so it's good that we can sit back down and treasure someone we love, right?... well, at least for one special day.
It's kinda like how Christmas is for some people. Like: Yeah, we should be like this all year, but Christmas is the perfect excuse to actually do it.
And hey! We get presents out of the deal, so I'm not complaining. XD

Today's my Birthday! I'm 18 now! For gifts I got The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds and Kirby Triple Deluxe! I was also supposed to get Tomodachi Life, but the store we got the games from didn't have it yet.
But most important of all, my absolutely wonderful girlfriend got me this:
I don't even know how! She's just amazing like that! She's way too good for me.
So today I turn 21 which is a big deal in the states, I've gone through a lot this year but I'm trying to stay positive. I'm looking forward to drinking away some of these sorrows so cheers!
