@MarioLover92 I also prefer art books nowadays since a lot of relevant information can be found for games online unless they're very obscure. I did like reading through guides back in the day too, though I've always been a bookworm (I don't have nearly as much time to read these days sadly). Glad you're having fun! I didn't really play any Mario games yesterday - though I did consider it. I figured my recent tenures with SM64 and Sunshine were enough for now. XD
As for Sunshine: If you'd like slightly more detailed impressions, feel free to consult the Games You Recently Beat? thread here in General. Overall I do quite like the game, but "rough around the edges" describes it fairly accurately...and then some. I wouldn't complain at all if it received the same treatment as Wind Waker HD. Though I may be biased; WW HD was my first experience with that game.
@Eagly Was that the first or second round when you tried ordering the CE? The first round was a royal trash fire - no luck then - and I was successful the second time through sheer reload persistence...though it helped that the site wasn't breaking nearly as much and booting me out of my account. Pre-ordering is usually a waste of time for me. As for midnight launches, I understand the appeal, but I'd rather sleep and just pick up and play my purchase the next morning with a rested brain. Your approach on GotY editions is similar to how I treat the recent Pokemon games. Sword/Shield shipped with the DLC on the cart a year after their original release, so now I'm waiting for the same situation to happen with Scarlet/Violet before picking up one of the two.
As a huge Zelda fan, I wouldn't say that BotW is my absolute favorite Zelda game (Breakable weapons, I'd argue it's almost too open world at times, and lack of true dungeons are my biggest, though ultimately minor, complaints). But it's definitely up there with the better ones in my book. But I do want to dive into TotK due to all the changes we do have. It's already slated to be my long summer game. XD
Decent theories regarding Zanza's indifference to his other self (and going by the assumption there aren't other selves in the Xenoblade canon at this point), and I generally agree. Ignoring the fact of how long after XC1 that XC2 released of course! Unless Zanza was so devoid of humanity that he really wasn't aware, but someone with that amount of power would be aware of Klaus's existence I'd think. Man...both he and Mayneth have a tragic story, all things considered. Partially because he tried to play god, but their own civilization was imploding at the time.
@Sunsy I'm indirectly connected to some of the pulse of the Amusement industry due to my job (Amusement is the industry term; think video game cabinets, dartboards, jukeboxes, crane machines, gacha machines, etc.), so I can back up that many of those games are indeed set up to milk coins; some even have difficulty settings the technician can set at the behest of the location they're installed in. I've seen this in action directly through crane and pinball machines. I don't work directly with these machines, but some of the software I work with tracks where they are, if they need repaired, etc.
My favorite driving cabinets are Hydro Thunder, California Speed, and Cruis'n Exotica. I'm normally not into racing video games outside of a bit of Mario Kart now and then, but I don't mind the occasional coin-op round (or free test rounds if my employer has one in for maintenance; our technicians are awesome when it comes to play testing lol).
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet DLC, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
@Tyranexx
Oh, did you play Zelda Wind Waker too?
I got the game Zelda Wind Waker Wii U version last Saturday, a big surprise from me to ultimately pick that game after some long deliberation.
So far, I quite enjoy the game as I have some experiences with other platforming or adventure games but Wind Waker didn't really tell the exact point where you should go or find so I really depended on walkthrough video from YouTube to continue the game.
Yesterday I have reached Dragon Roost island, still wandering around the island to find some clues.
Btw, do I have to finish the sub quest on the island before I proceed to next places ?
Can I return to previous island to finish the unfinished quest ?
No really, I don't know if you're sarcastic or genuinely seeking an answer. You'll know if I'm being sarcastic if I put that slash-S at the end of my posts. (Wish people did more that often, I'm tired of feeling stupid when I answer a rhetorical question and they mock me afterward)
