That's what I was hoping for and just have a a doctor who style inside joke about them looking similar. (the lead actress of Torchwood played a side chacarter in a episode of doctor who)

Anyone read Marvel Essentials? Horror Vol 1 is a must read. 2/3rds is about Son of Satan from the 1970s the last 2/3rds is about Satana his sister. This is bizarre reads especially Satana. Son of Satan had a lot of Exorcist type tales. If you never read the original Son of Satan comics from the 70s this has the entire series. If you love Doctor Strange you will love Daimen Hellstrom aka Son of Satan.
Marvel Essential Horror 2 is not that good. The Golem comics is almost to similar to The Mummy which was more enjoyable. Mordred comics are kind of a bore. Brother Voodoo is interesting. Horror 1 is far, far better.
Looks awesome! Thor is one of the comics I know least of, so it should be pretty new for me. Especially since I still haven't seen the first one yet! The first Thor movie is seriously the only Marvel movie I haven't seen.
The first Thor movie was surprisingly excellent. I've never been a huge fan of Thor — I like the character in general and enjoy him in team-books, but never really got into any of his solo series — so I didn't see the movie until it popped up on cable. Definitely recommended — it's really one of the better of the solo Marvel flicks so far.
Oh Marvel, how I wish your comics were good like they once were. Not sure if it coincides with Disney buying Marvel, but once the whole House of M crap started, that was when my love of Marvel Comics began to wain. Civil War, Dark everything, World War Hulk, Fear Itself, Innihalation, AvsX, amongst many more way overreaching crossovers killed my love of Marvel comics. Sad because there are many characters I love. Captain America, Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, Punisher, Moon Knight, and Union Jack. Although my wallet initially enjoyed 20+ less titles a month, they were all replaced by DC and other non Big 2 titles. I have read some of my friends TPB's of Marvel, all "critically acclaimed", and I must say most were terrible and a few were just OK at best. There huge crossover's make understanding individual titles near impossible. DC x-overs were all easy to ignore if I didn't want to read them, and even the overlaps of titles I didn't read affected the story very little. Although all this matters little since I will not support (purchase) anything Disney owns, I do miss good comics of the characters I loved. Of course I will miss Star Wars more, but one must stand firm w/ his/her princaples.

That's the same way I feel about DC.. The only thing they have going for them is Batman. I used to like Superman, but now I think he's kinda lame. As for the other DC characters, I've always thought of them as being kinda mediocre.. I guess Marvel characters "click" more with me..

Wait, why don't you buy Disney owned properties?

I agree, in fact Thor is probably my favorite "solo Avenger" movie so far. I really liked the special effects and the whole fantasy feeling it gave me. I also thought the casting was just perfect. Think I will go watch it again in fact.
RetiredPush Square Moderator and all around retro gamer.
I am going to see if I can either get it this Friday or watch it on Netflix. Never seen it. I think it will be extremely EXTREMELY hard to topple Ironman as my favorite solo avenger movie, but we will just have to see.
I can say I am honestly more excited to see Thor 2 more so than Ironman 3 but than again that just might be me.
As for solo Avenger movie mine would go in this order.
Thor
Captain America
The Incredible Hulk
Ironman
Ironman 2
Wow! Ironman 2 at the bottom makes sense, but Ironman 1 too?? no way
For me it would go
1) Ironman (Marvel super hero masterpiece!!)
2) Incredible Hulk (Much better than the 2003 movie!)
3) Captain America (It was much different than any other I had seen before)
4) Ironman 2 (Ick not too good. Great movie compared to just about any other super hero movie, but against these others nope)
Thor ???? Never seen it so I will have to see it soon!
What were those last 3 before Ironman 2??? @Sony_70
Nevermind I see. I saw Item 46. Those are Marvel shorts. Ironman 2 was not that bad I see what you were doing there though
Ironman 2 would still be in my top 20 best super hero movies of all time, just not the best avenger movie by a long shot.
Why all the hate for Iron Man 2? I didn't think it was bad at all.
I mean, yeah I enjoyed the first one more, and I've enjoyed all of the other movies as well, but I don't think Iron Man 2 was noticeably weaker than the others.
Again though, I don't actually read the comics themselves, so I might be ignorant about something they screwed up, lol.

Nah it had nothing to do with the comics really. It was just not as good as the others mostly because
1) Plot was pretty weak
2) Very very anticlimactic
3) Didn't really use the Whiplash villain as good as they could have
4) Rhode's actor got replaced.....
5) Ohh the drones.............

Nah I legit enjoyed the shorts more than a few of the full length movies. I
Anyword on how Sheild will interact with the movies in the Universe?
