Topic: New DSi Art Style game revealed!!

I just read on IGN about DSiWare's holiday line-up. Among other titles was Art Style: Digidrive!! This is a re-make of the bit generations game released exclusively in Japan on the GBA. This also marks the first Art Style game with bit generations roots to come to the DSi! I can't wait! I can't link to the source as I am on the Wii but you can go to the IGN DS page and see for yourself.

Cool! I am always up for more ArtStyle.

Anyone familiar with the original BG game? What does the premise entail?

This is the original Bit Generation version. It's like a weird road game with triangular shapes. Not sure what's going on.

It looks really retro and kitschy cool... can't wait to play it )

It's definitly worth the 500 points, but it's quite large (more than 90 blocks). The design is different from the bit.generation version, but you can unlock new designs and music. Everything is explained in the manual, so no worry about that! I won't explain it here, since it should be a secret for the real Art Style fans... lol
You can use button controll or touch screen controll, both screens will exchange then. you can even use DS download play and onviously play a VS match with anybody who has a DS.

I got it earlier. I played one game of the endless mode, it's actually really fun. It's hard to explain how you play it but the in game demo mode shows you everything, and it's not as complicated as it looks. The whole thing feels really sleek and polished, and there are unlockable themes, music and medals to get. It's pretty addictive too.

I can understand that! But I'm sorry, I can only try to describe it:

-The red right "button" of the bit.generation version is now on the entire touchscreen (in button mode, DSi version). So there are two squares now, the main game on the top screen and the button on the entire touchscreen. To me, the old version makes more sense, but obviously they needed something to fill both screens.
-The games is not so radical with the colours anymore. The background is rather white-pink than red-black. The three different "cars" (black, red & white) and the four streets have the same form, but got a bit enhanced. I only got 997 (!) points in endless so far, and I guess you need 1'000 points to get one of the six or seven different graphic styles. I really really hope that the original graphic style is offered as well; but I don't want to say that the new style is bad at all. The old style was just more, well, extreme...

I really hope they'll make a DSi version of DOTSTREAM ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UaM-VtXp18 ) as well...

Prochnow, you unlock stuff by hitting the targets that you see when you select the difficulty level. There's a bronze silver and gold target for each difficulty.

@Prochnow: i understand it, i just wanted to know if youtube had a gameplay video of the dsiware version, well, i hope it comes soon, oh and Art Style: DOTSTREAM would be the best

I got a bronze medal and it didn't unlock any graphic theme, I only have "Standard".
But I have two musics, "Trancho" and "Silence", but I'm quite sure I had both musics even before I got the bronze medal.

Anyway, I'll do my best to get silver now...
