Topic: Capture Mew in Pokémon Black & White! (April Fool's)

Everyone remembers the truck in the port of Pocket Monsters Red and Blue Versions, hiding the elusive Mew to those who brought the right party, but nothing to those who didn't. Well, now Game Freak has finally acknowledged the mystery in Pokémon Black and White Versions. And you won't need to wait for a Wi-Fi event to grab it!

Just like in 1995, it's not easy to get. First, head to Sky Arrow Bridge between midnight and 3am on a weekend, with a first-generation Pokémon that knows both Surf and Strength at the head of your party. Stand underneath the second archway (where the camera zooms out at its furthest point), and wait for a truck to go by on the right-hand side (towards Castelia).

Untitled

As soon as it does, select Surf (from the Pokémon menu). You should land on the truck. Ride it all the way around into the tunnel. The screen will go blank for a few seconds (with truck noises), and then you'll re-emerge in Driftveil City, on the other side of that traffic barrier near the bridge. The truck will stop and you'll automatically jump off.

You know what to do now, just like the good old days. Stand behind it and use Strength. Out pops Mew, and into battle you go! It'll be Lv30, so make sure you don't kill it. You only get one chance! Catch it or not, once the battle is over the barrier will open for you to exit, and close behind you.

There's rumours about being able to catch Celebi in Lostlorn Forest too, and Deoxys from the meteorite in Nacrene Museum. I'll check it out and report back.

@Raylax
I heard about this too.
But, you need more then one kanto pokemon.
you need too have Pikachu,Charizard,Venusaur, Blastoise and Mewtwo in your Party to work.
I'm trying it so far, and it's working!
and also, I think I see a Ship down there too, and it's Called the S.S. Anne!

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

What do you mean? I always use Metalkid IV calculator. You can even check if the IVs are decent if your Pokemon is Lvl 15. They are not 100% accurate, but you can tell if they are good or not. His speed is 23-30, so I'm a happy man.

@Raylax: You should have posted this tomorrow, dude. Now people are starting to think you are trying to pull off an April 1st joke.

I wish I could show you mine, but I just traded it for an event Deoxys on GFaqs. I already had a modest Mew anyway and that one is slightly better. Besides, it is not a special Mew anyway. Maybe Raylax/Jumpmad is willing to show you his? Or just try it out for yourself.

Snap, probably. I forgot what date it was xD

And, @Tj92: you can check IVs easily. Just Wi-Fi battle someone at Lv100, enter the stats into Metalkid's calc, then exit the battle. I used to have IV battles all the time when I was interested in CB.

I probably should've screencapped the game when I found Mew, but my camera's on the fritz right now and the photos it takes are insanely blurry anyway.

No, you're wrong. This is the REAL way how to do it:
Right at the 12th pixel of the grating at the overpass view, use Cut twice, then turn left once, wait 2 minutes, then use Strength, go back into the forest, think about pasta for exactly 5 seconds, then use Fly to Nimbisa City. Ride the elevator and press the buttons in this EXACT order when riding the ferris wheel: Up, Up, Down, A, R, L, Start, Select, Select, A, Y, X, B, X, A, Start, and then shout "I'm a weiner" in the Mic. Next, go to one of the sports stadium and have an Arceus use Judgement at the center of the soccer field when it has 1 PP. You will be transported into heaven. Do unruly deeds and you will end up in Hell. Use Flash 3 times on the Devil to escape Hell. You will end up at the Sky Arrow Bridge's center. Use Dive right there and then you will fall back into Hell for no reason. This time, Dive again, and you will be at the earth's core. Use Cut and cut the core in half, destroying the Earth. Then make a batch of cookies, and when the game recognizes you've made a perfect chocolate chip cookie with no added sugar, a path in space will appear. Mew will appear inside a bubble, but only if you wait exactly 24 hours, 12 minutes, and 3 seconds to walk foward. Plug in your charger, and Mew will wake up. Catch Mew in a Poke Ball at 1 HP while it's Paralized and in love and then you will have a Mew.

Then Mew will escape and you have to do this all over again to officially catch it.

You capture Mew by playing Sexy Poker over 9,000 times on your Wii and then you throw your Black/White DS card into the Wii's disc slot. Your Wii will read the card and you will magically have a level 50 Mew in your party, and it is nicknamed Custer.
