Anybody here ever play this game on the 3DS? I've been watching videos and checking out screen shots of it and it looks fantastic for those who enjoy WWE or classic WWF.
I'm seriously thinking about picking it up but I wanted everyone's input first. Anyone have this?

I haven't played it on the 3DS, but if it's anything similar to the console versions, then it should be a great port. The matches tend to be a bit quicker than a normal match on the normal WWE series, so the quickness makes it even better for a .
It plays in a more arcade kind of style too, pretty easy to get in to. There's a great selection of Wrestlers old and new on the roster, all the moves look fantastic, it's so satisfying to do a rock bottom that takes you 15 ft into the air before coming down with your opponent. The only thing that is a bit of a let day I'd say is the story modes, if you can even call it that. There's only three, and they are pretty short and boring.
If you liked the over the top arcade wrestling games of the 90's then you will enjoy this game alot. If how ever you liked the more realistic approach like the WWE Smackdown games then you wont like this game. That pretty much sums it up.

i've played it and it is enjoyable, roster is great, i'm not a wrestling fan but i can see familiar faces like hawk and the macho man which I played on SNES when i was still a kid...
i'd like to point out that sometimes the sound is relatively muting whenever there is a slow-mo move... fictional jumps and overbuffed muscles are still fun to see... even matchups of the oldies and the present, videos from 90s are nostalgic to watch... and at your first try of the hardest difficulty, it will really give you challenge... as far as i can remember you can also create a wrestler... and there are 2 new modes exclusive for 3DS... i think i enjoyed the "gauntlet mode" where in it looks like a survival mode... and the other one, I forget, which can possibly mean, forgettable mode.
I'd like to point out also that unlocking all the characters is time-consuming though it might be enjoyable to some, but for me it is like a chore... actually it looks like a chore for me because I just found out that unlocking it's alternate costume is like playing a story mode of that character until the story mode is finish... so if i remember it right, around 10 matches is in the story mode (of course different type of matches)... so if you want to unlock all those alternate costumes, it's like playing the story mode 30 times... that's a chore for me... anyway one thing i didn't like is the multiplayer feature... local play is limited only to 2... imagine that, only 2, not 4... if it is 4 then it will be very fun to play with my friends (even if there's no online mode for this game) in whatever game mode, fortunately i don't have a friend who has this game... and actually i thought i've already mastered how to counter so the hardest difficulty isn't that really hard anymore, that is why i find it a chore sometimes...
these impressions is of course from a non-wrestling game fan... i've played smackdown 2000+ in playstation 1... and chose to play smackdownVSraw2006 in PSP, because i'm more familiar with that roster...
i don't know if this helps, but here's my honest impressions of the game...
It's the best handheld wrestling game ever..... which is not saying much since all handheld wrestling games before it sucked, this one is playable graphics are good for 3DS, gameplay is quick paced at fun, it doesn't have any specialty type matches so that may be a downside to some... roster is great.... the fantasy match mode is kinda cool with video packages for every fantasy match... Overall I'll say if you can find it for cheap it's worth getting... I put about 30 hours into it.
