People had suggested before that paintball would be Nintendo's compromise for shooters...I guess they were right. But as someone who genuinely likes shooters, this immediately seems like a breath of fresh air. Not just because of the aesthetic and paint but because I'm not sure I've seen something like this before. At first I was only a bit curious but the more strategies they showed...I'm kinda fascinated by this.
I've been wanting to see a multiplayer shooter with a Nintendo twist for a long time. This looks to be that game.

This took me by surprise at the presentation. It looks like it could be a real winner.
I hope that you can create and name "Splatoons" with you friends. Keroro/Armpit Splatoon FTW!
I'm normally not much of a shooter fan (mainly cause most of them are poorly disguised military recruitment propaganda), but this....seems interesting!

Couldn't agree more. Though I'm going to buy every darned game they've shown off so far (absolutely AMAZING showing so far), this one has really caught my eye. I think after Zelda U, this is my most anticipated game. It's completely new and though it rests largely on a "shooter" foundation, it shakes up the formula in numerous ways. Swimming through the paint especially seems brilliant!
This looked so good. It easily ties with Sunset Overdrive for best game of E3. It looks so fun and so fresh, I love it! I can't wait until it's finally out. I hope it gets big and has a single player option. I actually doubt it will but at least let you play by yourself with computers.
I just hope if its as multiplayer heavy as it is that it gets a lot of support. There's sooooo much you can do, it can't be as limited as the multiplayer options of say, Mario Kart 8.
Yeah, I doubt I'd be playing by myself so often with this game. Hopefully the multiplayer options/modes/ect. are robust and gets a lot of love from Nintendo.
