movie ticket costs $15, entertains you for two hours.

Link's Awakening Remake will (probably) cost $50, entertain you for eight to ten hours.

seems reasonable to me.

It's cute looking, but this'll be a hard sell for me at more than $39.99, considering the length and lack of gameplay scope in the GB original.

Ugh. Men.

Looking forward to this a lot, brought on the 3DS but found it quite tedious having to swap items constantly. Day one for me.

Watched the direct this morning (Mainland Europe here). And there I sat, a grown man, bearded father, 34 years old, literally crying with joy when watching the intro at the end of the Direct.

Special edition pre-order certainty gimmethisnao.

This has to be a $50 or below game. I don’t see this being worth more than that.

Nintendo nearly always charge full price for their main IPs.
Yoshi's Crafted World is definitely not worth the same amount as Breath of the Wild or Xenoblade 2, but they just average the value across all of them.

They do. But usually a remake of a console game will be at full cost. I hope it has added content for value. Samus Returns isn’t the same as the Game Boy game. Maybe it’s that approach?

@DTMOF84 The overworld so far looks the same to me. I'm fairly confident it will be a €40 title.

I LOVE the art style and it's new yet so faithful to the original game. Kudos to Nintendo for going with a different style for every Zelda game.

This is the spirit!

I hope more remakes follow in this art style, actually I'd prefer remakes of the Oracle and NES games as I'm happy to go back to Links Awakening as is but the others I have no motivation for.

Here's a neat comparison between the original, DX and the upcoming remaster:

That pic isn't coming up, it's just an untitled x for me at least.

@Octane Nah both the pic and link don't work for me. Can @Anyone else see it?

It might have been interesting if the entire game looked like that cartoon animation Nintendo made for the opening cut scene.
But considering the original game, I see why Nintendo used the plastic look and it will work just fine.
Out of all the games announced, this is the one I am most interested in.

I'm so excited to play this. I can't contain myself!

It'll be tricky playing a conventional Zelda game after Breath of the Wild.
