Topic: Server Outage 30th Sept 2014

Morning everybody,

Our hosts requested that they physically move our servers in the data centre to another rack, we scheduled this to happen last night around midnight GMT. Once the servers were moved to their new location one of them, our database server, did not boot back up properly.

After waiting to see what the outcome was, I decided to get the site(s) back online as things were taking too long, the downside is that we've had to revert to a backup - therefore we are currently missing data for most of Monday (yesterday).

We're going to be recovering the articles and putting them back in today - however getting everyone's comments back will take a little bit longer. Also, the forum posts from yesterday are likely gone, unless our hosts can resolve the issue with the drives.

Annoying, but not the end of the world.. keep on gaming!
