My favorite game is between mario kart double dash and mario kart 8. Double dash was the game that made me the nintendo fan that I am today and made me fall in love with the mario kart series. I didn't play any other mario kart games till mario kart 8 on wii u. That game made me appreciate video game music and was the first time I ever played a game online against people.
Double dash will always be the game that defined my childhood, but mario kart 8 will be the game that defined my music tastes today.
Though another favorite game that means a lot to me is overcooked 2. Me and my sister had so much fun playing that game.. She felt that it was the first game she could understand (she isn't into games that much) alongside 'a veteran' like me. I have fond memories of working together, overcoming wacky stages, and getting 3 stars on a level!
The game ignited something in her as she bought a switch just so we could play online when she left to go live in Illinois! She's a gamer now, and we regularly play together on NSO.
If I never bought overcooked 2 for my switch, none of that stuff would have happened.
