Just got the NYXI Warrior (Black) today can't wait to test it out when I get home. Also been using the NYXI Wizard, 8bitdo Ultimate (red) and currently trying to find a Yoshi controller for my daughter one that's worth while anyways (b ' ' )b. Hoping Luigi's Manson 2 HD is going to be a good one me and my daughter are really looking forward to playing it together can't wait!

I mostly use Pro Controller, although I use joycons for some things. I do have an 8bitdo also but I haven't used it much in recent years

Just only a pair of White Joy Cons & Neon Blue Joy Cons.

I use either a Zen Pro controller or the Switch Pro Controller. Personally I prefer the Zen Pro over Nintendos own Pro just because it feels better, more durable. I don't use the Joycons at all because they feel so cheap and fragile to me.

Up until recently I'd been using a Hori Split Pad Pro for handheld and an 8bitdo SN30 for docked play. I bought the Mobapad M6 HD split joypads a few weeks ago and they are great - really comfortable with a great d-pad and interchangeable faceplates that have an octagonal gate. Without a doubt the best Switch controller I've used.

@MontyCircus I actually forgot that I have an arcade stick for Switch - the Hori Fighting Stick Mini. That probably tells you how often I use it 😅

I play mostly retro stuff, so the d-pad on the pro controller is essential. I even got one of those 3rd party joycons with a d-pad for playing in handheld mode. I simply cannot abide using the joycon buttons in place of a real d-pad.

I gave up on the Joycons...every time I try using them, the drift just drives me crazy. I hate that Nintendo knew about the issue YEARS ago and said they were going to work on a solution....YEARS ago.

When docked... Switch Pro controller, sometimes the SNES controller if I'm playing SNES games from the NSO service. Undocked... The neo red and blue joycons that came with the system.

It's mostly regular Joycons (which hot take, I like more than playing either of the previous gen Nintendo systems and possibly also handheld mode with them attached), except for N64 NSO and Smash.

Yeah that's the main reason I don't play in handheld mode. If I can't play docked then I just use the kickstand and use my desk or table and a Pro controller.

@Tasuki
Yeah I mostly play tabletop as well. Mostly because the TV is usually occupied

@Tasuki I tried tabletop before with Monster Hunter and....the tiny screen wasn't doing it for me. lol

Joy-con for handheld, Pro controller for docked. TBH I find them to be Nintendo's best controllers, and the Pro controller is in the running for my favourite controller of all time. Joy-con can get a little uncomfortable after some time, but I think that's just a general caveat of handheld play for me.

I have an 8bitDo Pro 2 which I use primarily for multiplayer and games that make heavy use of the D-pad. Really nice layout and design (feels very comfortable to use), but a real pain to set up, and seems to have all sorts of connection issues. Wouldn't recommend unless you're dying to have that SNES button layout on a more modern controller.

I use the pro controller when I play on the TV, and the joy-cons exclusively for handheld mode. Honestly, I like using the NES/SNES controllers that were made for NSO as well.

Currently? Joy Cons in the grip.
Spent most of my time with the Switch (since 2017) with a Pro Controller. But the right stick started drifting a few years back, but not consistently which is somehow more annoying.

So I'll use a Pro Controller if the right stick isn't required (2D games mainly, or Mario Kart). Currently playing Tears of the Kingdom though, and I didn't need the camera to be spinning randomly. Or I couldn't look forwards because the R Stick isn't in a "neutral position".

I'm using the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom pro controller!
