Topic: Nintendo Switch won't turn on (Tried usual solutions)

While visiting Ohio (I'm from Canada), my switch's battery died while playing TotK. I tried to charge it for about 16 hours on and off but it hasn't done anything. I've cleaned the charge port, used a dock, and held the power button for 12 seconds, but none have worked. I'm taking it to GameStop for a solution tomorrow but I have no idea what to do. Please help!

How many different power leads/plugs have you tried? If you've tried multiple leads/plugs, have you given each of them at least 30 minutes? @sunny63

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

The only other thing I can think to try is to hold the power button down for even longer, like over a minute. In theory it shouldn't make a difference, but I think I remember some seemingly-bricked Switches powering on again after that.

@sunny63 Best bet is to contact Nintendo and set up a repair. Going to Gamestop won't help as they are not a repair shop.

@sunny63 Disregard if you did this already.

Nintendo support's page for switch "won't wake from sleep mode" is thorough for troubleshooting to determine where a possible hardware issue may be - ac adapter issue, dock, or the switch itself.

The Console Has No Power, Has a Blank Screen, or Won't Wake Up From Sleep Mode

Here's another page that may be relevant. (forgive me if it has the same stuff as the previous page, just trying to help with the moment that I have)

Console Cannot Be Charged

**As far as I've seen in this forum, if you can't solve something with Nintendo support site troubleshooting, that's been a fairly reliable indicator of failed hardware in which repair/part-replacement is needed.
