Re: Nintendo Working On Wii Remote Fast Charging Battery Pack

SubBronze

I've been using a third party charging cradle for ages with my two normal WiiMotes, so I probably won't get this. It doesn't work for my Plus controller, but I only use it for motion plus games or when I have more than two people around, so I don't mind using normal AAs for it.

Re: Competition Winners: Nintendo eShop Credit

I was one of the runners up for the Castlevania competition, so I can't really complain, but to be honest I would have preferred the eShop credit... Oh well, congratulations to everyone who won! Hope you spend it on something good

Re: Indie Dev Island Officials Turning To Kickstarter To Fund Boxed DS Game

From the short gameplay clips in the video, this game actually looks really good, and something that's right up my alley. No doubt they would make more money if they just released it now as an eShop game, but its pretty cool that they are making this a boxed game. I might just go for the early adopter award and get a copy, but I'll think about it first. I'll definitely give a bit of money now though

Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution Developer Hopes The Game Will Boost Wii U Sales

If this has any hope to sell consoles, it cannot be released at full price and it has to have a LOT of exclusive features. You can get a copy of this for less then £5 on other platforms if you look around online, and most people have played it already since it came out more than a year and a half. I doubt this will change anything to be honest.

Re: Rumour: Suda51 Set To Revisit No More Heroes

I think this is going to be a Shinobu spin-off, which is good because she was one of the most interesting characters in No More Heroes. Lets just hope she actually controls well in this game. (Stupid Million Gunman Stage...)

Re: Review: HarmoKnight (3DS eShop)

The demo for this game was fantastic, except from the boss. The difficulty of it turned me off this game... I thought the game was amazing up until that point, then it just turned cheap and not fun at all.

Re: Talking Point: The Download or Disc Dilemma

As I have reiterated hundreds of times before, I will only ever go digital if prices are below that of physical copies. Why should I have to pay the full retail RRP when the cost manufacturing of discs/carts with boxes and instructions and shipping is eliminated? Even with same day first class delivery with new games on Amazon, physical games are almost always cheaper than the respective downloads.

If they lower the price to a reasonable level, fine by me, I'll download a retail game now and again. But until that happens, no thank you.

Re: Nintendo Download: 28th March 2013 (Europe)

Wow, Mercenaries and Heroes of Ruin are actually at a competitive price. This is a step in the right direction Nintendo Square Enix and Capcom, might actually consider buying retail download for the first time from the eShop.

Re: Wii Mini Generating Little Interest in The UK

Good, this had no purpose apart from collectors value. I see no good reason why Nintendo would waste manufacturing and shipping costs in making this. Anyone can easily buy a used Wii off eBay for less than £60 which has online and GC support.

Re: Pokémon Rumble U Trailer Shows NFC in Action

If I ever get this game, I may need to buy the Bulbasaur figure. Because I freaking love Bulbasaur.

At least they give the option to get Pokemon like you did before I assuming from the trailer. Maybe the figures are more powerful or have exclusive moves?

Re: UK Supermarket Chain Asda Preparing a Bid for HMV

This is good news. Asda have relatively cheap games, albeit a limited selection in their supermarkets. Hopefully this means we'll get a dedicated game retailer with actual decent prices. Plus, since Asda is owned by Walmart, they're basically rolling in money.

Re: There's A New Turrican Game Inbound, But Super Turrican Is Off The Table

@apowes
I know, I'm glad that Nintendo gave us notice on the Donkey Kong Countries removal, but publishers should tell us of removal beforehand and an actual reason for their removal. Sim City was the worst, no official explanation (obviously because EA are just greedy since they own the franchise and the release of Sim City 5), but I remember the removal being very sudden...
