After being teased last month, developer Siactro has now provided a first look at the follow-up to Toree 3D, Toree Saturn, and yes, it's looking just as adorable as we would expect.
Much like the prior games in the Toree universe, Saturn is a low-poly platformer that will see you guiding a sweet little chick (and its awesome shades) through a series of vibrant courses. There are a handful of new moves to play with this time including a neat homing attack and a ground dash.
There is also a brand new main theme from returning composer The Red Panda and Hyper Potions. This is a real nostalgic bop and you can listen to the full track on YouTube.

Siactro has even released an early demo of the game on PC so you can see how the new moves match up to the flow of the previous titles.
The game will be released in 2024, though it has not yet been confirmed for Switch. Despite this, we would be very surprised if it didn't come our way, with the former two titles proving that the Nintendo console is the perfect place for this pacy platformer.
It was so perfect, in fact, that one of our wonderful video producers even took on the challenge of becoming a speedrunner for Toree 2. Check out our coverage below to find out how he got on.

Excellent! After the mention of the series last month I was reminded I had bought them and never played them. Finally got through em both in a nice afternoon gaming sessions and really enjoyed them.
These games keep looking better and better! This is a day one for me for sure!
I still need to play Toree 2 and the freeware Toree Genesis, but the soundtrack for Toree 2 is great so I'm looking forward to what The Red Panda will make with Hyper Potions!
I'm gonna guess that Toree Saturn likely includes content from Toree Genesis, as the freeware title didn't have a Switch release.
Awesome news! I've yet to play the Toree games yet myself, but this is exactly the kind of announcement that'd get me to finally take the plunge on the two of them currently available in prep for Saturn's release. Great announcement and I eagerly await it's release!
Looks great! Will absolutely get it even though I haven't played any Toree yet, but luckily they're short games so I eventually will be able to for sure.
Looks fun! Definitely going to check it out.
I know it's not the point, but I'd love to see this with more contemporary graphics. I grew up with these low-poly visuals so they are nostalgic but I never felt they held up over time as well as pixel art.
I LOVE TOREE!!!!!
Also I'm glad that Hyper Potions is contributing to the main theme. Do have to check out The Red Panda too, I loved the music in the previous Stores games.
@Ogbert
I wonder if the Toree games are just putting the visuals through a filter?
Toree 3D and Toree 2 used a filter to try and emulate the look of PS1 games (minus wobbling).
A Short Hike uses a filter or resolution setting to simulate the look of Nintendo DS games (with Animal Crossing Wild World in particular in mind), but that filter can be turned off to display the game with native resolution rendering.
This is great news! The other two games are some of my favorites on Switch. And the second one was better than the first, so hopefully that trend continues with this entry!
Oh sweet! The Toree games while short are still a lot of fun and they are perfect budget games.
I love the two other toree games there fantastic. Cant wait for this one!
@RupeeClock The models themselves are definitely low poly, no filter can do that. I liked the pixelated visuals of A Short Hike, which I think was hiding some low-poly models but it worked nicely.
Visually, early 3D hasn't aged very well for me, so when devs replicate the visuals it's nostalgic but not in a good way for me. But hey that's just me and I still appreciate the commitment to the style!
I love Toree 1 and 2!!!!
Day one.
i'm sure it'll be worthwhile, but still kind of bummed it looks like the camera is still completely manual, really could just try the demo instead of guessing from footage...nah
The Toree games are great little platformers. Looking forward to more.
Love these little games! I wish more companies would embrace low budgets like this.
Toree Saturn lookin out of this world.. Let's go!
Is this going to have random creepy elements like the other games?
