Update [Wed 9th Nov, 2022 14:30 GMT]: After weeks of radio silence from Nintendo, we now know that those real-life Splatoon X Pokémon Splatfest t-shirts are coming to the UK! What's more, they are available to order on the My Nintendo Store right now!
Please note that some external links on this page are affiliate links, which means if you click them and make a purchase we may receive a small percentage of the sale. Please read our FTC Disclosure for more information.
The three t-shirts each match those worn by your in-game character after placing a vote for Team Fire-, Grass- or Water-Type in the upcoming Splatoon 3 Splatfest. They are available in a range of sizes from Kids all the way up to an adult's XL, with prices of £17.99-£22.99 depending on which size you opt for.
Like many of the My Nintendo Store releases, these items are limited to one per customer. On top of this, we still won't get our hands on the tops for a while yet, as the expected release date is currently listed for 13 January, 2023.
The t-shirts will only be available while stocks last, so if you want to keep the Splatfest celebrations going into the next year, then be sure to grab one up while you can!
Original article [Wed 12th Oct, 2022 18:30 BST]: Last week's announcement of the Pokémon-themed Splatfest coming to Splatoon 3 in November introduced us to three particularly neat-looking t-shirts commemorating the collaboration. What started off as seemingly a virtual reward only, these soon were announced to be receiving a physical real-life release in New York's Nintendo Store and in Pokémon Centers across Japan.
Today, Nintendo Australia has added to the list of retailers, confirming that the Water-, Fire- and Grass-Type Splatfest t-shirts will also be releasing for those living in Australia and New Zealand.
While we have no official announcement from any of the regions just yet as to when these tees will be available to buy, we do know that the next Splatfest will begin on November 11th - so surely they will have released by then.
Noticeably, this leaves Nintendo Europe as the last topless region (we mean without the Pokémon t-shirts, not literally topless). We are keeping our fingers crossed that a physical release is able to make the journey across the pond, but after today's My Nintendo Store palaver, maybe a a t-shirt drop would be too much stress to handle.
Are you hoping to get your hands on a Splatfest t-shirt? Let us know which team you're rooting for in the comments below!

Eh... the designs leave a lot to be desired. Happy to put them on my Inkling, but not going to bother with my flesh self.
The Mario Star/Mushroom designs were great, so Im holding out hope for better promotions down the line.
Not going to lie these designs are really plain, they look way better in the artwork and in game.
Man I wish the Nintendo shop in my country had PayPal support during the time the Splatoon 2 shirts were available. Maybe I'll be able to pick up one of these...
These are really lame...
Please come to North America 😭
Come on, like there just colored versions of default splatoon cloths, kinda lame.
Ahh these are cool. Went to pick one up but they are releasing in January and I'm not a patient squid.
These look cool but I think I'm going to save my tshirt for the inevitable "choose your favourite idol" Splatfest (obviously Shiver).
does feel a bit pointless to sell the shirts only to receive them 2 months after the fest finishes. what a bummer.
Shame my size isn't there. They look good.
The orange one looks more red. If it was actually Orange I think it would look pretty cool.
@Yosher They did add the paypal option in the Netherlands very recently (if the location on your profile is correct). You do need to have your paypal account verified with a credit card or IBAN though.
@MajorTom I know but they didn't during the time the Splatoon 2 shirts were available.
I wish there was info on if America was getting these. I’m stressed checking the Nintendo store every chance I have because I’m scared they’ll be sold out fast if they do go on sale. Nintendo stuff always sells out so fast and I have to resort to buying from eBay for ridiculous prices. It’s so annoying that they don’t get decent amount of stock for items.
