In case you missed it, there's a new Doremon farming sim sequel arriving on the Nintendo Switch this November.
If you are interested in trying out Doraemon Story of Seasons: Friends of the Great Kingdom prior to its release, there's now a free demo you can download from the Switch eShop in Japan and it includes English subtitles.
This demo gives players the chance to experience the joys of life on Illuma - raising crops to sharing meals and conversations with friends. You'll have to make use of Doraemon's gadgets to get the farm up and running.
There's also an online two-player mode included in the demo, allowing players to double the amount of fun and productivity on the farm. And last but not least is some special bonus content for demo players. This is a special start-up set containing 20 x soft wood, 20 x normal wood, 20 x hard wood and 20 x stone.
Will you be giving this demo a go? Tell us in the comments.

I will play the demo on Switch but I will get the game on PS5 version. 😁
2022 has been a great year for JRPG fans. There's really something for everyone.
Doesn't look substantially different from the other one.
Doesn't look substantially different from Farmville.
I enjoyed the first entry so much, there is no need for a demo.
My favourite farm sim this generation.
I'm gonna grab it anyway (I loved the first) but there doesn't seem to be a demo for the EU. :S
The first one was very sedate, so much that I usually end up feeling sleepy playing it despite enjoying the game. I hope this one has enough changes or additions to set it apart from its predecessor.
I still have yet to play the last game in this series, lol.
The first game was an absolute gem. However, I think the demo ruined it for many in that it included the initial hourlong (literally) story sequence involving no game play, followed by about half an hour of farming tutorials. I think a lot of people drew a negative opinion of the game from that and never went back to it. But if you like the BokuMono series, the first Doraemon game is a must-play. It evokes the charm and deep character plots of the installments from the GBA, PS1 and GameCube era.

Good point. The introduction/tutorial might be the longest I ever sat through in any game. And yes, the game certainly deserves more love.
Not much of a farm sim guy. I actually bailed on Stardew Valley early on, and the trailers and reviews of various Rune Factory/Harvest Moon games haven't drawn me in. But I will probably check out this demo of DSS: FGK if/when released in the US.
I do see some appeal in farm sims, and actually started replaying Dragon Quest Builders 2 recently. For whatever reason this combination of RPG and farm sim appeals to me.
Side note. I had forgotten how much dialogue DQB2 has. It's serviceable IMO, and occasionally humorous, but there is a lot.
Never Forget the Nintendo Farm Direct.
... Wun can only hope.
