Original article [Thu 11th Aug, 2022 05:05 BST]: There might not be any Legend of Zelda game coming out anytime soon, but First 4 Figures is planning to fill this gap with another gigantic and expensive resin statue.
This time it's 'Link on Horseback' - based on Link from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Unfortunately, the horse isn't Epona. There's no price yet or release date, but you can expect to find out more next week on the 16th of August.
This upcoming stream will reveal pricing, availability and the estimated release date. Again, it'll probably cost a lot and will likely take some time to ship. Would be prepared to pay big money for something like this? Comment down below.

I never got the Link on Epona statue (and I am not paying scalper prices) so I am tempted, but I’m out of space for the big statues. Decisions, decisions.
He does look a little small though, but it is based on the artwork with those same proportions. Granted the BOTW horses are large. I will likely just stick with the standard BOTW statues (I have all of them so far) as I already have the skyward sword diorama Link.
Looks cool but I'm still recovering from the Bayonetta guns statues I'll pass
This one is actually kinda cool thanks to the horse pose.
Breathtaking. Now might be the time to smash any and all pots in the surrounding area, and mow all of your neighbors yards.
Looks like Link is way too small for the horse, well unless it's supposed to be the Big Horse
Nice Figurine, and the presentation make me thing of this meme :

so like can we smoke it?
Link is himself quite small but the scale would suggest he’s on a Shire horse.
So is that Epona? It's main isn't white. I'm not sure.
Any classic statue where both of the horses' feet are off the ground indicates the rider died in battle.
I'll pass. I don't care how good the statue is, I'm not spending at least $500 on one judging by the prices of their other Resin statues.
As pretty as it looks, I might not have any shelf space for it.
As it is, my True Form Midna (Definitive Edition) statue from First4Figures takes up half of the shelf space on the top of my desk! The other half has Princess Zelda from Breath of the Wild (also from First4Figures) and Sophitia Alexandra from Soulcalibur (packaged with the special collector's edition of Soulcalibur VI; not made by First4Figures, though).
The rest of that shelf space has all of my amiibos (two of Samus Aran, one in her Zero Suit from Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS, the other from Metroid Dread; the EMMI, also from Metroid Dread; the Inkling Girl from Splatoon; Zelda and her Loftwing from Skyward Sword HD; and all four Champions from Breath of the Wild). They'll be joined by Mipha (also from First4Figures) in a few months.
The only reason I'd get any of the other four Champions (even my most hated of them, Revali) from First4Figures is because the First4Figures statues match the poses their amiibos do, from the looks of it. It would be kind of neat to have the Champion's amiibos sit in front of the First4Figures statues of them to compare the size scale.
The only other shelf space I have for figures and statues is the top shelf of my bookcase, and that's taken up, too: two statues of Hinata Hyuga from Naruto, specifically, The Last: Naruto the Movie (the first one being her outfit with the gray top, black shorts, stockings, and knee-high boots; the other in her wedding kimono), both of which I ordered from the Crunchyroll Store; I also have the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D from Mega Bloks (the competitor to LEGO), complete with a Captain Picard minifigure holding a phaser and stands for both Picard and the ship, which I got for Christmas years ago.
@Bunkerneath Yeah I thought so too, why is his entire body only around the size of the horse's head?
@Sonos I mean, in the storyline Link technically did?
Wow, really nice but I'm sure it will over $1k.
Wow, they even included a little link accessory for the Epona Horse statue.
I have the original Link & Zelda statues from First4Figures. I think that’s enough. I don’t have space or the budget for this, though it looks incredible. 🙌🏼
Part of being a collector is knowing when to take a break from adding new items to your collection.
I’m extra tempted by the bronze edition. Decisions decisions.
Looks fantastic, but that's way more than I'm willing to pay.
@JesseA It's not Epona. It's the horse that Link has in the cutscenes from 100 years ago. It can actually be found in many places in the game, although there is not much special about it. There is also a different one that looks almost identical. The "correct" one always has the following stats:
Strength: ★★★★
Speed: ★★★
Stamina: ★★★
Temperament: Wild
On a side note: In the game, this default horse actually has a white blaze on it's face. In the concept art it's hard to see due to the lighting. In both the amiibo and the F4F figures it is missing, probably since they were designed after the concept art...
They insist the scale is accurate to source material but I wish they used common sense instead: No matter how you look at it that Link is way too small for that horse, he looks like he could fit in its neck... Even the accessories hanging from the horse look like they'd be too big for Link to handle.
Ordered two of each!
Can't wait!
Skip
The sculpture is off
Link is tiny
The horse dose not look right at all
They have done better sculptures of link in the past
Very poor effort
It's too expensive for my collection. Looks cool but will have to pass.
I still have some of their older statues, like Dark Link, the Goron, Sheik, Phazon Suit Samus,... and I was often tempted to get others throughout the years, especially Zelda ones, but with those prices I'm glad I stopped collecting years ago. They are still beautiful, and I still have a weak spot for ALMOST wanting them.
Very lovely statues. I wish I could afford both the bronze and the full colour, but had to go with one. I went with Bronze in the end
We want the new game. We want the new game. We want the new game....
