Dutch retailer Nedgame has posted a listing for Oddworld: Soulstorm, a remade, reimagined version of Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus that released on PC and other consoles in 2021 (thanks, MyNintendoNews).
The listing currently has the game available for pre-order for €49,99 with a placeholder release date of 31st December 2022.
The game is a sequel to 2014's Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty, which is already available on Switch, so it would certainly make sense to have Soulstorm available on Nintendo's console, too. That would make it the fourth entry in the series to come to Switch following the aforementioned New 'n' Tasty in 2020, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath in 2020, and Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee in — you guessed it — 2020. A bumper year for Switch-owning Oddworld fans, it would seem.
Critical reception for Soulstorm was somewhat mixed. Our friends over at Push Square called it "a tough game to love" in their 4/10 review:
Oddworld: Soulstorm presents itself well and shows a grand vision for the series, but as a modern game, it's just not where it needs to be.
So, if this is indeed coming to Switch, let's hope it arrives with some tweaks and improvements to enhance the experience.
While this isn't confirmed yet, just the other day Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway was revealed early via retailer listings.
Excited that Oddworld: Soulstorm might be coming to a homeheld near you? Let us know below.

Damn you, Lorne Lanning! I love you, you gorgeous man, but make a new new Oddworld game.
Somewhat mixed..4/10..uh huh
Hey, it's the game by that guy who said the Switch would fail and how Iwata died because of working at Nintendo
Love the Oddworld universe and characters hence my avatar.
Let's hope it turns out well.
I knew this game would eventually come to Switch soon since the others already did. Now that they are finished with remaking and re-releasing all the older games, time to start making a new one.
I have all the odd world games on Switch but I just don't see myself picking this one up.
Ah good news to hear. If it runs well then I'll jump in.
Anyone played it yet? Is it any good? I remember seeing a gameplay trailer thinking it was way too overloaded with mechanics.
@SteamEngenius and people call NinendoLife review harsh
@Duffman92 I played the game on ps5 and to me it was a fun 7/10 game. Hope this helps.
The game is nice on PS5, but I just don’t see how it would run on Switch, as it struggled badly on PS4 and Xbox One. Not to mention how much action is in the background of many levels, constant changes in perspective (being 2.9D), FeeCo Depot where there are trains running full speed everywhere and, of course, the train level.
@Itachi2099 he did say that? <_<
Munchs oddysee is my favourite what a great game
I got this on PS5. I so wanted it to be good after the amazing New'n'Tasty, but there are so many bad and archaic design choices that I just can't love it like I do the other Oddworld games.
