It's a very similar story in this week's UK charts. The top two spots remain unchanged for the third week in a row — Nintendo Switch Sports and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga's universal appeal means they are the top two selling boxed games this week.
Third and fourth are also exactly the same as last week, as Sony exclusive Horizon Forbidden West and chart favourite Mario Kart 8 Deluxe keep a grip on their places. Pokémon Legends: Arceus and Animal Crossing: New Horizons are both comfy in the top ten this week, and FIFA 22 — after slipping out two weeks in a row — just sneaks back in.
There's only one new game this week: PlayStation and Xbox's multiplayer survival horror Evil Dead: The Game. Based on the movie franchise of the same name, the game debuts this week at a solid fifth.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land has slipped out of the top ten pretty hard this week. Sadly for the pink puffball, he's dropped 20 places from fifth to 25th, and while the game is almost two months old now, but we can't help but be a little disappointed.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land appears to be out of stock with a lot of retailers, hence the sudden drop.
All the hate Nintendolife gave this game hasn't really paid of now, has it?
Aaaw poor Kirby deserves much better! Buy it guys...and while you are at it, please but CAPTAIN TOAD TREASURE TRACKER too
But unfortunately, Switch Sports was not universal appeal for me.
Go Vacation is my best choice for multi sports and outdoor activities game.
@Toads-Friend Yeah Captain Toad Treasure Tracker is amazing 😀
@Anti-Matter,
Let it go, if you don't like it don't buy it, we know you want boxing and Go vacation is better, with it's none motion controlled sports, and filler content.
For me Switch sports is a great diversion, does exactly what I wanted, minus the golf which is coming later on.
Glad the storm in a tea cup on here has not affected sales much.
Wow and this is why Nintendo keep putting out unfinished games.
Hopefully Mario strikerz has a lot of content
Nice seeing that PS5 stock is a little more stable, when Horizon Forbidden West is high in the charts you know there's been some PS5 stock.
@sanderev
Aye because high sales equals high quality everytime.
I am sure the game is good fun but also has a lot of issues and it is good that Nintendo Life (which usually praise Nintendo made games a tad too high in my view) pointed the issues out.
Good week for Switch software overall. Nice to see Legends Arceus still hanging in the top 10.
@Anti-Matter is that on switch?
@johnvboy
I was thinking from the worthiness as I have some experiences from Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resorts, Olympic Games by SEGA and other sports compilation games by 3rd party developers, to see a quite expensive sports compilation games by Nintendo with less than 10 different sports, short gameplay, no Boxing on it, it made me thinking the other sports compilation games are better in term of sports quantity and cheaper price.
I'm also aware with this bad practice from Nintendo when they try to make unfinished games then they keep spamming updates like live service games, it made me thinking twice to justify the worthiness of the games.
I want to like Switch Sports but Nintendo made some disappointing decisions for Switch Sports and to see Switch Sports got mass appeal while the game itself still lack of important contents, I felt irritated.
I will be happy like the way I love ACNH if Nintendo put Boxing and other sports on Switch Sports since from beginning and not put live service updates on it.
@reporterdavid
Yup.
Go Vacation is available on Switch too, with better graphic than Wii version and normal controller style to move your character.

@KindofaBigDeal However most reviews I've seen actually like the game. Only Nintendolife's review was bad. And a game that is arguably bad doesn't sell. Except maybe for Fifa.
@Toads-Friend
I have finished Captain Toad Wii U version. 😊
@sanderev
Plenty of 6/7 out of 10 reviews for the game around the web. Which to be clear is still a positive review score but hardly signifying a classic.
Funnily enough Fifa (current gen versions) would usually get similar or better scores than that each year so guess that means it is arguably good.
@johnvboy You, Sir, say exactly what I feel.
@sanderev hate? 6/10 is still above average. as someone whose regularly played the game i agree its a solid, subpar time. living off of the weekly, slow drip release of content and items
i certainly wouldnt give it a 7/8 when the game isnt even finished yet, and its progress system relies on waiting for weekly items, with no other reward besides grinding your rank
@UltimateOtaku91 Have you seen the gameplay of a full game of Mario Strikers that Nintendo France released?
The gameplay itself looked quite a bit stripped back and almost boring. Strikers Charged had more character variety AND each character had a unique dodge mechanic. Granted some were kinda busted, such as Hammer Bros hammer and Toad's jump.
I am still getting the game, but I'm not sure that gameplay trailer did the game any favours unfortunately.
@sanderev I wouldn't call a 6/10 "bad". I would say their review is the fairest from what I have seen and the score fits with their scoring policy perfectly:
A good example of a six is a lazy sequel, it doesn't innovate but it doesn't really do anything wrong.
But why.jpg
Really surprised at this honestly.
So Glad 'Evil Dead The Game' is in The top 5! I'm enjoying it alot on my Xbox Series S, and I'll buy it again for my Nintendo Switch OLED!
@Anti-Matter,
The game is fine, Nintendo always stated golf was being added later, not sure why you and others are so upset, I had Go vacation on the Switch, and sold it pretty much the week after I bought it.
Animal crossing is awesome, but had updates, just the modern way of doing things.
@Anti-Matter allright. im searching for a game that included boxing on switch.
@Entwickler,
Loving this game, and the controls are great too, sure more sports will be added.
Kirby deserves better than 12-year-old GTA V!!
@Kiz3000 It's not just the review. Also the video with the video crew "trying" to make the game "better". It's like it's popular to hate on the game. But still trying to get a profit off it.
This game should've gotten a 7/10. There is technically nothing wrong with the game, and it does what it sets out to do. Maybe you could want a bit more content. But that is not a reason for a 6.
And I'm going to say you this right now: Mario Strikers is also getting a 6/10 from Nintendolife because it would to have "not enough content" (no Daisy at launch).
@sanderev it's apparently popular to hate on anything Nintendo actually. Everyone wants to be on the bandwagon.
I'm glad it's selling well.
Wii Sports was like the ultimate app/showcase game for the Wii.
It's no wonder it's successor wouldn't be just as popular. Switch is so versatile, it's for everyone.
Casual observer here. I loved wii sport resort what 13 years ago, it was a great complete package. 13 years later we get a game with a few sports on it with more promised later! Wtf! Xxx
@sanderev
You hit the nail on the head I think. They created drama/ hype by giving a controversial review score, then made videos explaining their own controversy lol
Looking at the rest of the recent 'news' on this site I guess its been very slow lately and therefore they needed some clicks.
I'm far from a Nintendo fanboy but I've been loving Switch Sports personally-25 hours playtime in 11 days says it all...definite 7 or 8/10 in reality.
Go Vacation has more content than this game.
@Arkay Me too! I got it and it's a really great game, not playing as much as I'd like to, but I'm getting there. There are more Nintendo haters on Nintendo websites than anywhere else hahahaha.
@SHULZ21
Yup. 😊
I have played Go Vacation on Switch more than 60 hours.
@Varkster
There are a lot of people out there who played Wii Sports/Wii Sports Resort as kids who are now in their 20s and have strong nostalgia for those games. It's hard to be shocked that Switch Sports is selling well.
Switch Sports will not match the success of its two predecessors on Wii, but it will be an easy 10+ million seller at its current sales trajectory.
@Arkay To say "it's popular to hate on anything Nintendo" is just ignoring legitimate criticisms people have for this game. There's no reason Switch sports should be released with a fraction of the content it's wii predecessor had.
@FishLipFace I'm all for legitimate criticism. My main issue is how said criticisms get blown out of proportion at times.
I really can't wait for "Evil Dead" to make it to the Switch. Shame it got delayed with no solid release date.
@Arkay That's fair. I personally feel the amount of criticism for this game is justified, but I understand your point in regards to other games.
Kirby and the forgotten game
With sales like this, they can just sell bowling by itself for $60 next time!
