It's almost time for another Summer Geoff Game Fest and new details have been released for the upcoming series of events, including details on Day of the Devs: SGF Edition and a partner list of participants who will feature in the two-hour show on Thursday 10th June.
While there are more companies "to be announced in the coming days", you may be disappointed to see that Nintendo doesn't feature in a first-party capacity. Although Nintendo has been a part of Keighley's The Game Awards shows in the past, it's not totally unexpected that the company won't have a presence in this Summer showcase. A Nintendo Direct event around the same period is practically a certainty at this point, and third-party Switch games will obviously feature in Geoff Keighley's event. However, at the time of writing, Nintendo doesn't appear to have anything lined up for Summer Game Fest itself.
The two-hour show — which will stream on Thursday, June 10 at 11 am PT / 2 pm ET / 6 pm GMT — will feature "the most highly anticipated games from more than 30 developers and publishers", as hosted by the organiser himself.
Here's the full list of participating publishers as per the official PR blurb:
Summer Game Fest will include participating from the following partners: 2K; Activision; Atlus; Bandai Namco; Bloober Team; Capcom; Coffee Stain; Deep Silver; Devolver Digital; Digital Extremes; DotEmu; Electronic Arts; Epic Games; Focus Entertainment; Frost Giant Studios; Humble Games; Level Infinite; Mediatonic; MiHoYo; Netflix; PlayStation; Raw Fury; Samsung Gaming Hub; Sega; Skybound Games; SQUARE ENIX; Steam; Studio MDHR; Tribeca Festival; Warner Bros. Games; Xbox; and more to be announced in the coming days.
Additionally, once the main Summer Game Fest show has wrapped up, Day of the Devs: SGF Edition will immediately follow, highlighting a bunch of indie games and hopefully featuring the lovely Tim Schafer from Double Fine. This second showcase — DOTD: SGFE, as we're sure people will be calling it — will feature several world premieres, too. More details below:
Day of the Devs: SGF Edition will feature a world premiere look at a brand new IP from ustwo games (creators of Monument Valley), as well as a world premiere of the next game from Michael Frei (creator behind Plug & Play, KIDS) & Raphaël Munoz. Plus a brand-new trailer and some exciting news about Gummy Cat’s Bear and Breakfast and more announcements from some fresh (and also familiar) developers including: Coin Crew Games, Ewoud van der Werf, Florian Veltman & Baptiste Portefaix, HiWarp, Madison Karrh, Max Inferno, Shared Memory, Soda Den, Two Star Games and Wishfully. The showcase will also feature titles from asobu, a community founded to support and evangelize independent game development in Japan and Japanese games abroad.
Additionally, viewers will be treated to a musical performance from Peter Berkman of Anamanaguchi, featuring music from DIE SOFT’s upcoming Little Nemo and the Guardians of Slumberland.

on the tweet they did say "+ more to be announced"
Nintendo appearing in the Summer Game Fest is like me making an actually funny comment.
It just won't happen.
Nintendo will do its own direct at some point in the next three weeks. Most of the games announced at Summer Games Fest will likely be next gen only (PS5 and Xbox Series X).
I’m calling it- there’ll be a Nintendo Direct on the last week of June
Some upcoming kids games on PS4 / PS5, please.
Thursday is the 9th not the 10th
Playstation is also taking part in the summer game fest but with a seperate state of play show
@Mattock1987 I counter your call, and raise you a June 15.
I really hope we get a release date announcement for TMNT Shredder’s Revenge since Dotemu is listed.
I must admit, I usually watch the conferences for a laugh, but this gamesfest thing cheapens the amusement of watching adverts by mixing in adverts for junk food and mobile games and razor subscriptions I don’t want to see. I can understand why Nintendo are distancing themselves.
I tend to avoid Geoff Keighley's vehicles for back slapping the game industry. I'll just watch the trailers after the event in my own time.
Studio MDHR’s gonna be a part of this. More Cuphead DLC info guaranteed then??
@majinx07 The price of TMNT Shredder's Revenge hasn't been announced yet, has it?
Unfortunately version isn’t making an appearance this year it seems. But on the plus side Netflix and Samsung are!
@Gamer_Griff not that I’m aware of yet unfortunately hence why I hope we get the info at Game Fest.
Welp, hopefully N shows off a direct this month.
@Anti-Matter Lmao. How old are you lol?
I just want E3
Please let there be a Nintendo direct.
Cool, can we all move on then? Stop trying to make us care about a thing no one cares about.
Gummy Cat’s Bear and Breakfast.
No wonder Geoff Keighley is so hyped!!
But really, I'm excited for Cuphead DLC.
Question: why is it a certainty that a Nintendo Direct will happen around that time? When E3 was canceled in 2020, Nintendo didn’t have a proper Direct until August. I get that was peak COVID, but it didn’t stop other companies from putting out news or Nintendo from doing mini single-game-focused Directs. Nintendo did have a Direct last June but that was in the context of a digital E3. So it seems that this year actually has more in common with 2020 than 2021.
Of course I HOPE Nintendo has a Direct soon, and I think it’s entirely possible. But just not sure why people think it’s so certain.
Practically confirms a Nintendo Direct is coming sometime in the next few weeks. That's probably what we're all waiting on.
Of course there not, I’m not even remotely surprised. Summer fest sucks, and if people think E3 is bad, fine but I 100% rather E3 then this!
Some of those companies are only going to be there in limited capacity since Sony and Microsoft are technically doing their own things around June. Nintendo obviously will too. Some leakers are saying the same in Nintendo’s case. It never needed summer games fest. Lol
i will not waste my time watching this year Summer Game Fest(full of cringey generic games and bla bla bla bla)
@Joker1234
I'm 37 years old dude but I only play kids games (with very few Teen games) as that the only kind of games I have interest about.
not surprising
Not falling for it Geoff! You've been over hyping and under delivering everything you've been part of for your entire career. Never watched a Game Awards, never watching this.
@Anti-Matter Sounds to me like you just started playing video games or haven't grew up yet lmao.
@Joker1234
I have my life experiences in the past that shaped my gaming interest and I only like to play kids games as I never like adult games.
I'm not joking. I really really only play kids games, I don't hide anything. Here is one example of my PS4 games collection so far.
Just take look what kind of games I played there. Even I played girlie girlie games like My Universe, Horse Club Adventures. I played Barbie games as well on my Wii and PS2.
Kids games like that are interesting for me.
@Anti-Matter I get that. I watch kid shows from time to time. One of my legit favorite shows even today is That's So Raven. It isn't nostalgia with that show it is funny as most good comedies - but very for kids. Late 90s/Early 00s had some really great tweener comedies - and I was well beyond tweener at that point.
like what you like i say
I recently, like the past 3 months, bought the 3DS version of That's So Raven and Hannah Montana. It set me back about $7. A major commitment.
@Anti-Matter Oh cool, you have some Skylanders! Skylanders is one of my favourite game franchises and I’ve collected an ungodly amount of them, a couple of them being rare and very expensive.
Netflix?? Oh please tell me they are gonna announce The castlevania spin-off or season 2 of Masters of the Universe Revelations.
@WeLiveInASociety
Skylanders Imaginators was really rare to be founded and I was so lucky to find a brand new Skylanders Imaginators PS4 version, complete in box from my country Indonesia.
@Sonos
Oh, I have Hannah Montana games too on PS3 and NDS.
I have finished the PS3 version (very short, just 3 hours gameplay) but I haven't finished the NDS version.
@Pringles7745 I'm not interested in Castlevania without Warren Ellis truth be told. To me, it was a perfect series - the best animated series in a decade. Without him it would disappoint and tarnish the series' legacy.
The story ended - leave it on a high forever.
So far I'm most excited about info on the upcoming Little Nemo game. It could be the next A Boy and His Blob.
I wonder what Atlus will be showing? Maybe Soul Hackers? Or something else.
The release of Pac-Man Museum + has got me in a Bandai Namco hype mood, though I bet it'll just be Elden Ring stuff.
“The showcase will also feature titles from asobu, a community founded to support and evangelize independent game development in Japan and Japanese games abroad.“
Does “evangelize” have another definition other than to convert to Christianity? Because if that’s what it means, then that’s kinda yikes
@Anti-Matter I think it’s important to recognize one’s preferences. I applaud your recognition in that. I’m not so different as I tend to gravitate toward co-op games, and while not necessarily the same genre, my commitment is generally pretty solid. Every time I stray, I find myself with a game I rarely play.
@Pringles7745 Weren't Netflix apparently making moves towards exploring gaming? Maybe this is them trying to solidify that or makes new announcements.
@Wilforce I’ll take that action, my friend
@Anti-Matter My Nintendo Switch OLED Collection beats that lol...too bad I can't show you lol But I don't have "kiddie games".
There just about has to be a Direct, at minimum to promo Mario Strikers and the next wave of MK8 DLC
why is nintendo so stubborn and cant just join the gaming industry even sony is there
