The Nintendo Switch version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed might not be the definitive edition of the game, but it's still arguably worth a look if you're a fan of the famous galaxy far, far away. If you did end up purchasing this version of the game, you might be interested to know there's now a new patch available.
Aspyr revealed this information via social media and has now released the full patch notes on its website. The latest patch (Version 1.0.2) doesn't overhaul anything, but it does improve the quality-of-life experience by improving and addressing certain parts of the game. Here are the full details:

In our Nintendo Life review of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for Nintendo Switch, we said the game had a decent story and great soundtrack, but might not be enough if you're not a big Star Wars fan. If you're interested though, the game has also got a physical release via Limited Run:

Who actually figured out that was a bug to begin with?
I'm actually surprised they're even going through the trouble of updating this, good for them.
I wish Sonic Mania would receive an update to address the Time Attack records overflow glitch. On the upside, the programmers were wise enough to add instant access codes to unlock features. This is useful for when you encounter the glitch, as the only way to solve the glitch is to erase your entire save file, including in the save cloud.
As for how they probably found some bugs, the same way most people play with, and break the game: by combing through the game code, and looking for faulty, or exploitable segments of code. This is also how people break games for speed runs, and "tool-assisted" runs through games.
I'm glad Aspyr is proactive about fixing glitches. It does need to be remembered, that this port just released recently. It stands to reason they would be on top of glitches just a bit of time after release.
Wish they would allow Duel Mode to be played Single Player with a Bot.
Damn it, I thought they were gonna add some cool stuff (Duel Mode with AI, Order 66 and Historic Battles from the PSP version)
This game is an absolute gem!
Did they update it to the 360 version?!
Uhh, the Wii version IS the best version...
"arguably worth a look", really?
I wish the butt ugly visuals were addressed. Why doesn't it at least equal x360 visuals? Porting the terrible Wii version was a mistake
@Mando44646 Because they ported the superior version of the game, which only had Wii level graphics (and aren't butt-ugly, anyway). This is only a port, not a remaster.
The amazing motion controls and extra content of the Wii version more than make up for the relatively inferior graphics and physics.
@ETK23 Yes, the Wii version is the best, but the motion controls in the Switch version must've been downgraded a little due to the lack of a sensor bar, so they're technically correct about it not being the "definitive version."
@BulbasaurusRex after playing through it, can't say I agree. The 360 version was superior in every way. And as someone who has zero interest in motion controls, I'm pretty disappointed with the port.
I'd encourage everyone to just buy the back comp version on Xbox
@Mando44646 The Wii version still has the much superior controls and gameplay even if you personally don't bother with the motion controls. That's your loss, not a problem with the port. Most everyone else who plays the Wii and/or Switch versions loves the motion controls! In fact, you shouldn't have even bothered buying this new version of the game if you weren't interested in the motion controls. They provide half the game's enjoyment in the first place.
Even discounting that reason, the Wii/Switch versions have an extra level (with an awesome boss fight against a mad Gungan), an exclusive multiplayer mode, and fixes the most annoying part of the PS3/360 version by turning the part where Starkiller pulls down a Star Destroyer into a non-interactive cutscene.
So it's actually the Wii version that is superior in almost every way, the only exceptions being the graphics and physics.
