At the end of last year, Bandai Namco announced Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot fans on Switch would have to wait just a little bit longer for the free 'Card Warriors' update.
Now, in an update on social media, the official Dragon Ball games Twitter account has revealed it's available now for Nintendo Switch. This is an entirely free update, provided you already own DBZ:K on Switch.
It's been a good start to the year for Dragon Ball fans. Android 21 (Lab Coat) was also recently added to Dragon Ball FighterZ not long ago. You can learn more about her in our previous post:
Check out the video above for a full rundown on Kakarot's Card Warriors game. Will you be returning to this title to try out the new free update? Leave a comment down below, Saiyans.

Oh yeah card time!😎 oh right I don’t have the game. :/
So this is an add-on to a full price game right?
For a moment I was excited it's a standalone game.
Yeap definitely makes up for getting rid of Jump Force from digital stores forever.
I have this game and it's great but is this online mode going to be cross play? I find it hard to find good online games in a lot of switch games that don't have crossplay.
@McGruber I have no clue regarding this game, but I agree that crossplay is almost a necessity in more niche games like this that won't have the millions of players all over the world to be able to offer online play for a decent amount of time in the future.
@Yanina : Such a strange choice of addition to a completely different style of game...
I've never been into Dragon Ball Z, but I would have considered giving a standalone card game release a look.
it's kinda pay to win and boring tbh
Sorry, but a multiplayer online-only, MTX ridden card game in a singleplayer offline-only full price title is a definitive "Better never than late" in my book.
@CodyMKW To be fair, every physical collectible card game is "pay to win", and buying packs with real money is unfortunately the norm for digital games now, too, barring the rare game like Yu-Gi-Oh Legacy of the Duelist which has been replaced even.
