Kirby is celebrating his 30th anniversary this year, and as part of this, Nintendo is releasing the all new adventure Kirby and the Forgotten Land for Switch.
It'll arrive next month on 25th March, and ahead of the game's launch, Nintendo has been building excitement with all sorts of trailers. We most recently got a look at Kirby's car form in the latest Nintendo Direct presentation, and now Nintendo of America has released a new commercial.
It's only 30 seconds, but it manages to feature all sorts of scenes - highlighting the fun gameplay on offer in the latest release.
Once again, this game is out next month - and by the looks of it, there'll also be amiibo support. That's not all for Kirby this year, either. As noted, it's his big 30th in 2022, and Nintendo apparently has a variety of projects planned.
Here's exactly what Nintendo had to say in its latest financial report - noting how it'll be teaming up with HAL Laboratory:
"This year also marks Kirby’s 30th anniversary. To celebrate that anniversary, we are planning a variety of projects in collaboration with the Kirby developer HAL Laboratory, aimed at sharing the charm of the Kirby series with many people."
Below is another look at Kirby consuming a car, in case you missed it the first time round:
Will you be trying out Kirby's new game when it arrives on the Nintendo Switch next month? Leave a comment down below.

This new commercial fittingly was made around the time I made my new pfp.
Wonder if they have any other connections.
@HotGoomba I absolutely adore your (quite apt) avatar.
Kirby in Mouthful mode looks creepy somehow.
Cuteness overload.
I want it!
"Mouthful @HotGoomba isn't real, it can't hurt you."
Ugh, waiting is hard, I want this game, also curious about the extra modes, especially the Arena. I also love those, especially the final ones where you often fight a revamped final boss. (even better when it's an entirely new fight like Triple Deluxe's)
In a few days I’ll break out the Kirby advent calendar
Looks amazing, can't wait for next month:)
This Kirby game is gonna be the best selling Kirby game ever! Probably gonna sell like 7 million copies
Looks great. Can’t wait for the adventure
After playing Epic Yarn and Star Allies together (and her ragequitting Dream Course against me 😜) the wife and I are looking forward to this one!
The wait will be easier for me since my two older kids have birthdays this month.
Yaaaaa I'm so excited 😊
This is the game I want most. Nvm Horizon Elden Ring and what have you Kirby is the game I really want to play right now. This wait is killing me.
I think it's worth noting, Kirby's 30th Anniversary begins April 27th.
"And dominate like never before!"
Got to love videogame adverts and their cringy v/o work. Is there anybody, anywhere that would ever say that?
Looking forward to this game. The expectations have been gradually rising... I'm just hoping it's got at least a bit of a challenge to it (I know it's Kirby, but Star Allies was extreme to the point the game practically played itself) and some longevity (I know it's Kirby, but let's hope for a 3D Mario inspired game length and amount of worlds/locations to explore.
@nocdaes There will be two modes available from the start according to website
‘’Float over obstacles and fight through enemies on your way to each stage’s goal as you slash, poke, freeze, and hammer using Kirby’s copy abilities. The tough puff is truly put to the test in dynamic boss battles that will keep you dancing about the arena. Choose from two difficulty modes for either a light, breezy adventure or a more challenging experience”
hyped to play the first 3D mainline Kirby game.
So hyped for this.
Am I the only one who thinks the guy in the trailer sounds a bit weird
Played star allies demo a bunch of times / was planning to just wait for the reviews to come out but one of the stores here in NZ dropped the preorder price down so much I decided to order it! Fingers crossed it’s good - looks very fun
It actually looks really cool and that's coming from someone who has never had any interest in Kirby whatsoever.
Game and video make me really cheerful.. (just the voice over is a bit too 'american' for me, not really fitting with the image I have of Kirby world)
@nocdaes considering Shiya Kumazaki stated in 2020 the next mainline Kirby game(Kirby and the Forgotten Land, in this case is gonna be the pinnacle of the franchise)i have high hopes that Kirby and the Forgotten Land may surpass Kirby Planet Robotbot(Kirby best game so far).
@RyuonTechar maybe Nintendo/Hal Laboratory celebrate Kirby 30th anniversary, by releasing Kirby 64 on Nintendo Switch Online+ Expansion Pack, release a second Dream Colection with the previous Kirby games of the Return to Dreamland era.
I have only one thing to say.
Carby.
