So I'm not required to play GO, just the Switch game? Or would it not make sense unless I'm a GO player?
Not being a fan what's the difference between the two games?
got me back into go to get mew
@Daz-brum They tend to have pokemon that are exclusive to each version, encouraging you to trade to get them. They might also have cosmetics for you and your pikachu/Eevee that are only available in one version as well. (Basing this on Sun and Moon on the 3DS)
Other than that, they're mechanically identical. Just pick the one with your preferred pokemon and have at it. No need for both unless you're a hardcore Pokemon/Nintendo fan/collector.
@4estGump No, no requirement. You can trade some pokemon from Pokemon Go to these games, as well as "something" to Pokemon Go. But it is not a requirement and this should function as a self-contained game.
Note: You may have to trade with someone who has the alternate game version or Pokemon Go to complete your Pokedex though. This is just a normal part of the series.
Ok great not a Pokémon fan but these games took my interest, so pre-order i go
Candy system or original Pokémon system?
Plz give this to me now!

I wish Nintedo did a launch party in providence, Rhode Island one day.
I'm so hyped for this game. I need it now!
So...what are the differences between these games and a main Pokemon game?
@4estGump nah you don't have to play pomeon go on the phone to play this game. since this is a hd remake from pokemon yellow. It is just a nice little feature to combine this with go. and the catching system is the same as the go. the rest is just like evry other core pokemon game
@Mikmik couldn't find you
Don't understand why they have taken away the gts trade system makes trading rather annoying
It's one of my favorite games of the year. The charm and cuteness just wins me over.
I love this game so much. I just love the charm and cuteness. The gameplay is fantastic and I love the graphics.

This was my first Pokemon Game and I enjoyed it a lot when I first played it. Sure, it's not for hardcore fans but it's a great interdiction for the series for the new fans and for the younger audience
