The last update we had about upcoming action-strategy game Toy Soldiers HD — a remake of the Xbox Live Arcade game — was that it had been delayed to October 21st to fix issues with the leaderboards, but now the game has been delayed further on Nintendo Switch.
The developers made a statement to their community earlier today:
"Unfortunately, the Nintendo Switch version is still being tested and will not make the 21st date. We share your frustration. We pushed ourselves to achieve a simultaneous release. We believed we could do it.
The Nintendo Switch version of the game is coming very soon, but we cannot announce an exact date until we finish testing and polishing our launch candidate build. Once completed, we will submit it to Nintendo for certification. At that point, we will be able to announce its release date."
The game will release on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC on October 21st as planned.

Typical at this point. Hopefully it runs smooth on release but I have little confidence.
I'm OK with delays vs like cyber punk 2077. I think if the developers and company is open with Is going on I'm OK with delays because it shows they care for us gamers that play the game.
This game seems interesting, looking forward to a review.
Hmm, doubt I'll buy it then. Should delay all versions, IMO.
@Gavintendo Especially so when they claim they 'cared so much' about having a simultaneous release.
As with how it was during the Wii U era, you can bet if the issue was on any of the other platforms it'd be a full delay on everything.
Is this like a modern day Sarge's Heroes? If so sign me the heck up!
This inspires zero confidence in the finished product.
“We believed we could do [a simultaneous release]...” within 3 days?
Since this is like their second or third delay overall, they should have just said it’s coming when it’s ready.
Damn….this look like a game that I would really enjoy. I will buy very early if it reviews even modestly well. Unfortunately, not launch day bc I have been burned.
At least they were willing to work on it more. That's what matters in my book.
Much rather them push it back to get it to where they want it than push for that simultaneous release just to get the sales. We see too many games released with major issues or game breaking bugs already.
@MsMaestroon No, it's nothing like that. It's a tower defense game and it's not really modern day. It's an 11 year old game getting remastered.
