Well, that's it. Super Smash Bros. UItimate's enormous roster is finally complete with Kingdom Hearts' Sora officially joining the ranks.
It's been one heck of a ride with regular character additions, Direct appearances, and wild speculation fueling hype for the game ever since its launch in 2018. All good things must come to an end, though, and Ultimate is now all done and dusted.
Marking the occasion, series director Masahiro Sakurai has shared a special pair of screenshots that remind us of all of the character reveals we've enjoyed over the past couple of years. The roster was already good enough before, but we were treated to some cracking DLC fighters, weren't we?
As you'd expect, Sakurai had also spent the last few days building up to Sora's arrival with some great screens:
Remember, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Version 13.0.0 update is now live (full patch notes can be found here), and make sure to vote in our poll which asks how much of Smash's DLC you decided to pick up along the way.

Go port kid icarus
I hope Donald and goofy show up as a final smash or something
I’m very amazed that this guy got the predictions for four characters completely right 🙂

I hope he's given a year of paid holiday.
What a wonderful ride it's been.
Looking at the screenshots side by side, I gotta say, the characters in FP1 were MUCH better than the characters in FP2.
Still, what a fantastic effort by Sakurai and his team! Hope they can enjoy a well deserved break.
@Divinebovine Sadly they don't
Even if you aren't a fan of the roster picks, you still have to appreciate the work and love these dudes (Sakurai and his team) have put into the game. They set the bar extremely high but Im sure we will see Smash again in the future with some much needed upgrades (ex: an actual story mode; no clones/echo fighters; premium costumes for the fighters; somewhat smaller, more balanced roster, and even more surprise guest fighters).
I would have preferred a soul caliber character than a tekken one. Honestly I could ramble off about ten characters which easily could have been in this game. I hope after a years rest or a kid icarus port we see more expansion
What's the name of the company which developed SSBU? Sora's been here all this time lol
