Review Castlevania: Dracula X (Wii U eShop / SNES)
Tainted blood
When you think of the definitive side-scrolling Castlevania experience, we imagine for most people it’s imagery of Symphony of the Night or Super Castlevania IV that first creeps into the ol’ noggin. But while those might be the most popular of responses, there’s a slightly more obscure game in the franchise that many die-hards...

Whip it good
Welcome back for another edition of Box Art Brawl, the weekly vote to see who triumphs over the first and second losers in a box art beauty pageant. Three regional versions of the same game cover battle it out to see who is the sharpest looker. Last week we had a returning series in the form of Resident Evil 2. We looked at the N64...

News Castlevania: Dracula X Gets MSU1 Digital Audio Enhancement Treatment
What a horrible night to have digital audio
Alas, poor Castlevania: Dracula X (Vampire's Kiss in Europe). Despite the best Konami efforts to snugly fit all the brilliance of the original PC Engine CD title Castlevania: Rondo of Blood inside a Super Nintendo cartridge it was just not meant to be; the fact it was a step down in the controls...

Castlevania: Dracula X! Inchworm Animation II! More!
We're not quite sure why, but the Nintendo Download Update details for Europe have been elusive today; thankfully the ever generous Daan Koopman has forwarded the Dutch press release that finally came through, and Kenneth Jensen then provided UK prices. In any case, this week comes with an...

Mario Kart 64! Castlevania: Dracula X! Pokémon HOME Themes!
It's the final Nintendo Download Update of the year, and as expected we have a couple of Virtual Console releases and no 'new' downloads - the New 3DS gets another SNES title, while the Wii U get some classic kart racing. Let's get to it. Missed the European Nintendo Download details?...

Scream bloody murder
Next week's Japanese Wii U Virtual Console titles have been confirmed, and fans of Konami and Capcom should be pretty pleased with what's on offer. Arguably the most notable release is Castlevania: Dracula X (known as Akumajou Dracula XX in Japan and Castlevania: Vampire's Kiss in Europe), the SNES port of the PC Engine classic...

This was never a "Hot Retro Game"
@unrandomsam
yer opinion is more than incorrect, as i say this is a hot retro game which automatically makes yer statement even more false.
I want this game!
So glad to see this finally make it's way to the Wii U eShop. Yes, Rondo of Blood is the superior game, but I still like this one as well. And it never made it's way to the Wii Virtual Console, so this was very much welcome and long overdue.
Now if we could just get Bloodlines, but alas, are Genesis games ever even going to be made available on the Wii U's Virtual Console?
