Pokémon Unite was treated to a pretty significant update just a few days ago, but the development team's back with another quick fix.
Live as we speak, this latest update includes a fix for a bug concerning Gengar, in which the Pokémon's Hex attack didn't always behave as expected, as well as an adjustment to post-match rank changes. The full (and very short) patch notes can be found below:
-Fixed a bug where Gengar's "Hex" did no damage under certain conditions
-Adjusted the increase/decrease of rank after a match since Master Rank position was declining more than expected
The game's last update, which went live earlier in the week, also added bug fixes along with text fixes, tweaks to Pokémon attacks, and a 'Spectate' feature test release. Full details on that update can be found here.
How have you been getting on with Pokémon Unite? Enjoying your time with it so far?

I am really enjoying this one without having spent anything on it tbh. I can see someone with all lvl30 items every now and then, but even then the impact is not determinant if the team is not working together.
Loving this game to be fair. Anyone know when it comes to mobile if it will keep our progression?
@Outerdragon apparently it does feature cross-progression, according to this source:

Gengar was the first one I spent the coins that I had saved up on. I used the Shadowball/Dream Ester build and thought it was pretty beefy. Then I gave the Sludge Bomb/Hex combo a try, and swept the other team. I immediately realized that a nerf was in order. Took a couple weeks, but I suppose that's not TOO bad of a timeline, considering.
@Desrever Check the notes again, the bug fix is a buff for Gengar, not a nerf.
@link3710 Its a little confusing, because he did get pretty decents buffs on Shadowball and Dream Eater, but Hex was way too OP in the first release. In the previous update, they gave Hex a nerf, but in the process there was abug where it wouldn't always do damage as intended. There was a bulletin message when you logged in for a while mentioning this after the update took place. That bug was fixed and now we have the retooled Gengar, which has been buffed overall, while Hex's cool down was scaled back allowing the opposing pokemon a chance to fight back in between uses.
(I came very close to just replying "okay, thanks!" but it was slow enough at work that I went and typed the whole thing out. I appreciate you reading my block of nerd text)
@Desrever Ah, wasn't aware of the previous patch.
This game is still somewhat unbalanced and could benefit from a few more nerfs & buffs.
@Chibi_Manny Well it's still pretty new so I can imagine more balancing will come soon enough. Have been enjoying it quite a bit.
