To celebrate the arrival of summer, Nintendo UK is holding a contest where it'll be giving out a Nintendo Switch accessory each day from now until the end of the month, courtesy of the My Nintendo Store.
Entrants are required to be residents of Great Britain and must be 16 years or over. You can go in the draw by simply taking a photo or video showing everyone how you're using your Switch this summer and then sharing it with the hashtags #SetPlaytimeFree and #NintendoUK on Twitter or Instagram.
No matter who you are or what you have planned for the summer, Nintendo Switch will enable you to set playtime free.
Whether you’re passing around Joy-Con controllers for some speed golf in Mario Golf: Super Rush at a family garden party, visiting a faraway friend’s island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, enjoying a lunch break on a hunt in Monster Hunter Rise, keeping the kids entertained with Just Dance 2021, making the commute more bearable with New Pokémon Snap, getting grandparents involved with 51 Worldwide Games, or enjoying some 'me time' with some The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, Nintendo Switch is perfect for setting playtime free this summer!
Some of the prizes up for grabs include a commuter case, play stand, system case, headphones (wired), SanDisk micro SD and Switch Mini controller.
If you don't yet own a Nintendo Switch - now is a good time to jump on board. Until 31st August, if you buy a Switch or Switch Lite from the My Nintendo Store in the UK, you'll get a free 64GB memory card valued at £19.99, and 25% off selected accessories.
You can read the full terms and conditions of the competition over on Nintendo UK's website. Will you be sharing your summertime activities with the Switch? Leave a comment down below.

Gee I hope I can get one within two seconds. (I don't even think I can even get them here)
Why even bother sighs
I look forward to seeing lots of photos of people playing their Switch in ways they would never actually play their Switch.
I found my Switch almost unplayable outside on a sunny day The rumoured OLED screen would certainly improve things. Also if Nintendo are truly trying to ‘set play free’, an official portable dock or straight TV connection would be very welcome #prettypleasenintendo
@moodycat I was going to say. Someone needs to let the weather gods know it's summer already. Though the constant showers has been quite nice - especially as all my work is done from home !
It's nice to see something from Nintendo that isn't for the States or Japan though. But 64gb (retailed at 19.99? yikes you can get double that for less practically anywhere online) just doesn't cut it.
Ahhh the old comepition that gives free marketing to the company......hard pass
@moodycat logged in for the first time in months to like this comment as I completely agree
Look at all these casuals in this trailer 🤣
@XenoShaun I started to laugh when they claimed that, I bought a 128gb card for €22 in 2019 for my Switch, and that was not even on sale.
64gb is around €8 here for a Sandisk or a Samsung one, so I wonder where Nintendo got that claim from.
@machinepaul I don't think OLED will solve the issue, think about this most smartphones have OLED screens with often very bright screens, and you still have issues seeing what is on the screen on a sunny day.
@machinepaul OLEDs are terrible in bright lights - worse than standard LED's. That is the main concern I have with the rumored OLED screen for the next Switch.
Sure, I could take a video of myself playing BotW alone in a dark room...but I don't think that's the advertising they want.
-but it's more realistic than any of the ads they have made, so when Nintendo is ready I'll make my acting debut for them.
@Judgedean & @Kimyonaakuma it appears you’re both right about OLED brightness, I’d foolishly assumed it would be better. Let’s hope whatever screen tech Nintendo plump for in a future Switch revision it improves things.
To be fair, it's probably the level of celebration that this summer deserves.
