Prior to its launch, the franchise was in serious danger of losing its relevance, but the changes introduced in the fourth instalment did much to reassert its dominance of the genre. It's also notable as the birthplace of the popular...

First Impressions Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D
The franchise's first 3DS outing is familiar territory for fans
Of the two games in the horror series slated for 3DS, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D is at first blush the least interesting. Where Resident Evil: Revelations looks to be taking the atmosphere back to the series’ spooky roots, Mercenaries is a complete embracement of the...

Sounds like this will be perfect for the 3DSware shop.
A download? no this needs to be a standalone game the Mercenaries modes were awesome in RE4 an entire game based upon it is a must buy.
I get the feeling that this will be full retail. Maybe maps etc will be available for download, though. They don't really do that currently for Wii or DS but it's such a logical step in the right direction, if you ask me.
This game sees very good, except for the graphics. They use all those color correction and lighting effects that most 360 games use, and while other people think it looks good I think it looks sort of bad.... Ill play it anyway.
this is going to be kinda weird having mercenaries as its own stand alone game but awsome all the same, from the looks of the screen shots they probably could port resident evil 4 and 5 to the 3DS and yes HeroOfTime007 i know what you mean with how the graphics look on the 360 and i agree
finaly resident evil 3ds is now on nintendo not ps3 or psp
I was lucky enough to play this at the recent Glasgow 3DS preview event, and it's amazing! The 3D is sweet, and it's the first time I've enjoyed a Resident Evil title without wii-mote/move controls!
A must have!
Looks great! This could be VERY good, and it comes with a demo for revelations.
I like what capcom are doing with the 3DS
Capcom, I love you so much makes you a cake of win
This is a must buy for me! the graphics looks much better on revelations, maybe they rushed a little on this one? it still look really cool though it's gonna be cool to see this in 3d

Can't wait to hear more.....hopefully they announce Leon is in the game.....Leon and Wesker......FTW
a remake of a mini game being sold for 40 bucks hmmmm. 30 stages, maybe about 20 characters, rpg elements, perks similar to call of duty, online co op, local co op, customizable layouts, and IN YOUR FACE ACTION??!! on top of that a demo of Resident Evil Revelations?! oooh yea! jack with a cross bow and a shotgun im happy! But I WANT DLC THAT GIVES US A MODE WHERE WE CAN PLAY WAVES AND WAVES INSTEAD OF A TIME BASED RUSH! THIS IS NOT SONIC! ZOMBIES = WAVES OF ACTION NOT TIME BASED! U GIVE ME WAVE MODE AND THIS GAME IS PERFECT!
@14 right on bro, COD:BO style zombie goodness with expanding maps and goals instead of the Bary steakfries style zombie mowdown.
Today is release day, where is our review?
i have tried this game on a 3ds official meeting in finland and the graphics are awesome on this 1 and the game is great if you love re 4 and the mercenaries .
@Skogur capcom did kinda rush Mercenaries 3D but Revelations will have more solid graphics and the graphics look great on Mercs for it being a nintendo hand held game. so over all Revelations will be 2nd or 3rd best RE game released.
the number one is obviously gonna be Operation Raccoon City
this one looks good on the 3ds thats wierd normally on ps3 or psp
this game is epic
2 all you resident evil fans I am new on the forms and I am dying to make new friends on resident evil mercenaries and on resident evil revelations my 3 ds code is 4639 9793 9269.
