Review Luigi's Mansion 3 (Switch) - Gooigi Takes Ghost Busting To The Next Level
Drop dead gorgeous
Despite being the glimmering jewel of the GameCube’s launch, Luigi’s Mansion has enjoyed relatively few sequels for such a beloved Mario spin-off. The 3DS had a pop with a well-liked sequel, and the original got a second chance on the same system with a remake. Now it’s time for a true home console follow-up with Luigi’s...

UK Charts Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Debuts At Number One
Well done, young man
The latest UK Charts are here and it's a resounding success for the newly released Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, which beats the likes of EA Sports FC 24 and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door to claim the top spot. Naturally, the game fared better on PS5, but the Switch performed admirably, pulling in a total of 27% of the...

A new year dawns
It's 2023 and the lights are back on at Nintendo Life Towers. While January can often be something of a sleepy month as the gaming industry rears its head from a Christmas-induced slumber, we are up and raring to dive into what looks to be an interesting year for Nintendo. This week, we have shared our thoughts on 2023's first big...
Back Page Why Don't Nintendo Games Get Gritty TV Shows? Here Are Some Pitches
Answering the question, "what if Kirby had an eye patch"
In the magazine business, the Back Page is where you'd find all the weird goofs that we couldn't fit in anywhere else. Some may call it "filler"; we prefer "a whole page to make terrible jokes that are tangentially related to the content of the mag". We don't have (paper) pages on the...
Talking Point What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 23rd)
It does matter
Phew! It's been a heck of a week, hasn't it? It actually feels like springtime now at least, but our eyes are poised towards the summer with the slate of new release dates we've been handed. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has been brought forward from September to July! Unprecedented stuff. Splatoon 3 also finally has a release date — a
Talking Point Which Other 'Old' Switch Games Would You Like To See Get New DLC?
Relight my fire
Hands up now, who honestly thought we'd be getting brand new DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in 2022? We certainly didn't; we were all primed and ready for Mario Kart 9 to be announced, but Nintendo clearly had other ideas, breathing new life into a game that's now five years old (or eight if you include the original Wii U release —...
Talking Point What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 12th)
And why is it F-Zero X?
The dust has settled a bit this week at Nintendo Life, but we've still had plenty of bits and bobs to talk about! The big releases this week include the delightful Chocobo GP, which we rather enjoyed, and the N64 classic F-Zero X via Nintendo Switch Online, which is also ruddy good. In other news, we received a lovely...

Hands On Luigi’s Mansion 3 Is Shaping Up To Be The Best In The Series
Can someone get Luigi a real estate agent?
Luigi’s Mansion 3 for the Nintendo Switch is exactly that: the third entry into the bizarre Nintendo series where brother Luigi is left to scour haunted locations in search of missing friends. It’s a game where you use a vacuum cleaner (The Poltergust 3000, mind you) to suck up ghosts, sort of like a...
About The Game
Luigi embarks on a dream vacation with Mario and friends upon receiving an invitation to a luxurious hotel. However, his dream quickly becomes a nightmare when King Boo reveals everything had been a ploy to capture Mario and friends.
With the assistance of Professor E. Gadd once again, the reluctant and cowardly hero Luigi traverses up and down treacherous doors of the now-ominous hotel on a quest to save them.
Wield the upgraded Poltergust G-00 to slam and blow away the ghosts’ defenses, or summon Gooigi, an all-green doppelganger that can help Luigi overcome obstacles he can’t get past alone.Interchange between Luigi and Gooigi as one player, or grab a friend and control one each.
For more frenetic multiplayer action, race the timer to clear various objectives on a series of floors in ScareScraper mode. ScareScraper mode can be played online* or locally with up to eight players on four Nintendo Switch systems.

OMG, I really can’t wait to play this, I’m still in a state of shock that Nintendo’s Direct started with this, I was really hoping they would, but I thought they’d wait & see how the GC port would sell on 3ds (I’ve already pre ordered it) I’ve loved this series since I got the original on my day one GC (LM & Wave-Race) and my kids adore this game & my son made his own Poltergust hoover & regularily role plays this game. I will now go out & buy a Switch for the family, as I’ve held off until the Switch has a game we wanted (I’ve already got all the Wii U games that have been ported over to Switch & why would I buy them twice? 🤔
So now at the announcement of this game, my kids will be opening a Switch & a few games on Xmas morning.
Thanks Nintendo! 😁😁
I saw ads and pics for the first one a long time ago, thought it looked and sounded STUPID, and Nintendo exaggerating his cowardly stereotype didn't help that idea
heard about on Wii and portable, still seemed so damn DUMB, but it was years later that a friend insisted on me borrowing Dark Moon, well, it took a little getting into it, but i went and got the GC #1, I was astounded, I loved them, I still think Nintendo making poor Luigi the biggest WUSSY ("W"="P") in all of video game history is pretty crappy, but I am very interested in 3 still
Oh man! I can't wait! I hope Dry Bowser is a boss character!
I'm so hyped for this! when I was a kid, my parents bought the original Luigi's mansion for my GameCube and I loved it. I bought, 'Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon' when released, and took a break from it a year or two ago. I've recently gotten back into LM and I was presented with this. the trailer looks AMAZING and I think it will be an awesome game!
I can't wait! Hope it's will be the greatest Game
release date, release date, release date (more chanting)
im really excited for this game.
Truely going smash thoses ghosts on floors lol
Only 24 days to go....
I CAN'T STAND THE WAIT
It’s finally out I’m screech with happyness
I’m absolutely in love with this! It looks and sounds beautiful, it’s really good fun, there’s so much variety and the challenge is there as the game progresses! An excellent evolution of the original game and concept!
Beautiful game. It is not my favorite game but it is good. Game great for kids and some adults depending on your tastes.
"Luigi's Mansion" is the best tech demo that was ever released for the Gamecube, and the same is true about "Luigi's Mansion 3" on Switch. Too bad Nintendo priced both games like a full AAA release, though. Fun for kids or fans of simplistic adventure games, but not a game for me.
Score: 5/10
It’s a really interesting game but sadly the controls made this game unplayable for me. Overcomplicated and unintuitive. Played my share of games on switch both easy and difficult and this is the game on my bucket list I probably won’t get to finish.
WARNING: this game is spooky D:
in all seriousness this game is fun i completed it 3 times now its a great game for halloween!
