In the not-too-distant past Konami was a powerhouse in the video game industry, with regular games in massive franchises through the days of pixels and bits to polygons and discs. It's fair to say that in recent times - outside of eFootball PES titles, legacy game collections and the occasional cringe-inducing release like Contra: Rogue Corps - it's been out of the spotlight in gaming, albeit with the company still making money in its domestic market with pachinko machines while keeping IPs like Castlevania active on TV.
Recently, however, Konami popped up in the Indie World broadcast as it's working with developer GuruGuru to bring GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon to the Switch, which looks like an intriguing and stylish re-imagining of Famicom title Getsu Fuuma Den. Since then trademarks related to Castlevania and Metal Gear Rising have popped up, and some weirdly entertaining social media shenanigans have got people talking.
So, what's next? Well, as reported by Revo Gamers, Konami's official Twitter channel for Spain has teased more surprises for Switch, giving the good ol' wink emoji when someone asked about more games on the system.
As speculation, a remaster of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance would be feasible for Switch, and of course we do know that Konami will be part of the digital-only E3 this year.
While we've been burned at times by Konami in recent years, we hope a corner is being turned. What Konami game or franchise would you most love to see on Switch?

Plz let revengence come over
Metal Gear Solid on Switch would be awesome.
Maybe a collection with the first 3 or 4 games included.
Love all Konami. Bring it all! Metal Gear, Suikoden, Silent Hill, Castlevania. Bring the Hudson Soft stuff too! Hudson was legendary. If they bring it, I will buy it!
I can never get too much Castlevania!!!
There was a really hilarious fake Direct leak posted on Twitter a few months ago, and one of the bullet points was "Suikoden collection", and the more I think about that, the more I want it.
Also, stop sitting on Bloody Roar.
@Sabrewing You are speaking my language! Yes please!
Twin Snakes? Switch Snakes?
I'd love something Castlevania related! Bring it on, Konami!
Suikoden collection please.
@mattmanvsuperman man, AC!D 1 was very rough around the corners, but 2 was fantastic and very underrated.
Pro Evolution Soccer port and the later Castlevania games in a Vol. 2 collection would be a good start.
Does Konami even know who the Patriots are anymore?
I'm up just about anything they do. They have so many franchises that haven't really been to Nintendo consoles that I would happily take remasters. That said, their new game looks absolutely awesome. So yeah, I'll stick to my first sentence lol.
I want as many Metal Gear games on Switch as possible.
Gradius Collection
Jackal
Lethal Enforcers
TMNT
Metal Gear Solid
@IronMan30 This. Just pack in as many as possible. And some Bloody Roar.
@PhilKenSebben Bloody Roar, there's a name I haven't heard in years. A new entry would be awesome, too.
I absolutely will call it a comeback their games have been awful for 5 years now, even their Switch launch with Bomberman R was atrocious.
Inglese?
@ManaOwls Metal Gear on switch and maybe older Silent Hill games on switch too hopefully
and maybe PES 2022
Dear Konami: Baby comeback! Any type of fool can see, there is nothing in everything about you. 😂
Do a Wiiware rebirth collection for switch and better Silent Hill collection than the ps3/360 version
If it's a port, I prefer Twin Snakes
New 2D Castlevanias, open world Silent Hill and a remaster of Lords of Shadow 1.
Castlevania
@ManaOwls I would say the first three, and hopefully 5. MGS4... while Cell and ARM are RISC-based, not so sure if they’ll be able to get it running on it. Its debatable whether MGS 4 could run on the XSX and PS5. However, you never know!
MGS 1-3 and 5 for me. Along with Zone of Enders, PES and Silent Hill please!
I love the Castlevania collection we already have, but I always felt it was begging for a part 2. I mean, why else would you leave off Symphony of the Night and the excellent GBA games. If I had to guess what is most likely to come of this, that would be it. I would also buy the MGS collection again should they decide to release that on switch, but that would really need to also include the original MGS for me to triple dip at this point.
I'd certainly love to have the Metal Gear franchise on Switch. Be it Rising or TPP, or even TTS Remastered (one can always dream).
But Konami REALLY needs to do 2 things: remake the 2 Metal Gear games from the MSX and, somehow, release MGS4 on other platforms.
Metal gear rising was so friking hard, I buried that damn game over in my colection never to see the light of day again
One of the main reasons I keep my PS3 hooked up is for Metal Gear. It's funny. I bought it specifically for MGS 4 and it doesn't look like that is going anywhere else without a lot of work. I would gladly double dip on any MGS game for Switch to have it portably. My dream come true would be for a port of Twin Snakes. More Castlevania with all the GBA entrys would be nice too.
Red Rover red Rover revengeance come over and bring a friend or four. I'll unlock the door :3
Would love to see MGS1..... or any MGS for that matter....
I'd love a twin snakes HD remaster
I want MGS4 as I never had a PS3. However, the one game I have always wanted on a Nintendo system is SOTN.
Suikoden. Any edition but a I + 2 version would be spectacular.
I want, Mystical Ninja! Staring goemon. Loved the game on the N64, Spamming that "PLAASSSMAA"
@EriXz
Hahahah i truly felt your comment, same here. Got angry at how hard it was and my younger brother finished the game, like it was nothing. 🤣
@The-Chosen-one I know right? It was like the first real boss fight and I'm good at hard games, it was like wait whaaat!!!
And those dogs keep killing me till It wasn't fun anymore and throw that nasty game away 😅😅😅
I was thinking about getting ReVengeance on Steam. I'll wait a little longer. A collection of MGS would be welcomed. With The Twin Snakes and the 3DS version of Snake Eater, and MGS 4. One can only dream.
Probably the new eFootball PES now that the games should be running on Unreal Engine rather than the Fox Engine.
Would love to see a collection of the first 3 MGS games, including Twin Snakes (which is still stuck on GameCube). The GBA and 3DS Castlevanias would also be great.
@ZeldaFanboy78
Oh god yes. The GBA / DS games in one package - that's me sorted for summer.
I dream of getting MGS HD Collection ever since Switch released, it's a match made in heaven!!
I just want PES on the switch. Switch has no good football games.
@ZeldaFanboy78 yeah I would love that
Nah, I don't have any expectations anymore with Konami. They were a giant in the past. The opening scene with that "Pink laser" on Snes showing their logo was a meaning of good games 30 years ago. (Green laser for Genesis, Blue for PC Engine). Now they are ordinary.
After the success of Bomberman and Momotarō Dentetsu, or if you prefer "mobile games", we can't expect something big like Capcom did with MHR. In the best scenario we'll see a Metal Gear Solid port from PS3/X360. That's fine.
@Gus_Campos facts.
FIFA is absolutely garbage on switch (and in general as well on all platforms). PES may not have as many licenses as FIFA but the gameplay on PES is better and is realistic compared to the aracde feeling in FIFA.
