Only a month or so remains until Persona 5 Strikers starts stealing hearts on Switch, so what better way to keep the hype going than with a brand new trailer?
Atlus has delivered exactly that with a new 'All-Out-Attack' video. Available to be viewed on YouTube here (embedding isn't allowed for this particular video, sadly), we get to see plenty of the game's combat – a feature that's been described as a "hybrid battle system that fuses explosive action-combat with pause-and-plan sequences to decide your next strategic move." Here's a quick recap if you need it:
Persona 5 Strikers takes players on an epic road trip with the Phantom Thieves, where they strike back against the corruption overwhelming cities across Japan. A summer vacation with close friends takes a sudden turn as a distorted reality emerges; reveal the truth and redeem the hearts of those imprisoned at the center of the crisis!
Persona 5 Strikers features a deep story campaign and thrilling combat that makes for a true Persona experience. Visit 6 different cities across Japan, cook tantalizing regional recipes, and lend a helping hand to those in need; then fight against the Shadows to uncover the source of the corruption within the Metaverse dungeons. Jump into the story whether you are a newcomer to the series or a longtime fan!
With all the Phantom Thieves being playable, each with their own specific skills to draw upon, this is shaping up to be an intriguing release for sure. Will you be picking up a copy when the game launches on 23rd February?
Let us know in the usual place.

Once again, I just want the original game. Then we can talk about spin-offs
I want this, but if I were to ask for this for my birthday I know my parents would be like the Dante standing on the rock edge saying “what the hell is this” while watching me play lol.
It would agree to have the original on Switch, I second that.
Just saw the 4-min gameplay preview from IGN. It's definitely looking a lot more interesting than other Warrior games. I hope it lives up to my expectations.
I'm gonna get this as my first Persona game. I enjoy other Warriors titles, so I'm excited to give this a go
Maybe. The M rating may scare my dad. Also, I already have enough games in which I mash the same button over and over again (AoC)
Why is it over £50 though? It's shorter than Persona 5/Royal so it's not like the money went into voiceover and translation.
And I'm unsure if I'll get the PC or Switch version. But I'd love to support Atlus on Switch
wish the actual game was on switch sadly, but im definitely picking this up too! (gotta give atlus money so they know we want p5 on switch!)
Day one cop on PC. Probably pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe Edition for the other Persona battle themes. I'll pick it up physically on PS4 afterwards once I get my PS5.
Honestly I don't even care at this point if the main entry gets released on Switch. I'd rather get my hands on SMT V first since that's actually a game I got a Switch for in the first place. I'm also legit just tired of all the constant bickering and complaining of the game not being on Switch on sites like Twitter when Atlus didn't promise anything in the first place
You need to sign in to watch so I'm just not gonna watch it instead.
I really loved Persona 5 when I played it on the PS3, but I'm still not sold on this game. I wish Persona 5 vanilla or royal were on the Switch so people could enjoy the original game.
Same as with Trials of Cold Steel. I want to play them, I want to like them, but I´m not going to play sequels without having played the prequels.
So not for me. Bring on Persona 5 first, and I´ll get this game.
Little Nightmares 2, Mario 3D World, Bravely Default 2 and Ghost & Goblins have preference in February.
Only game I am truly interested in this year so far that has a release date. Can't wait to play.
After a long wait for a proper P5 release on Switch, I gave up last year and bought P5 for my dusty old PS3. I put a few dozen hours into the story before other games enticed me away. I'm tempted to get this Strikers game, though it will probably get backlogged, too.
That said, I'm too lazy to sign into Youtube and satisfy the age restriction for the trailer. Can anyone tell me if Osaka is one of the 7 cities the Persona crew visit? Because if not, it's a deal-breaker for me.
@Teksetter It actually is. I believe you visit Osaka, Sendai, Sapporo, Shibuya, Kyoto and Okinawa
Pre-ordered from Best Buy for the sweet steelcase. Atlus is really bringing the goods this year!
I know it's completely different, but every time I see an update for Persona 5 Strikers, I immediately think of how much I want to play Mario Strikers on the Switch.
@Ralizah Too bad we aren't getting a physical special edition here in the West like most modern Persona games have
If this is like a warriors game, I'll probably pass.
@jump I thought I'm the only one. I wonder what prompted them to publish a video like that. Oh well.
Come on sega! Port the original!
Although I have finally caved and started playing on ps5. Not sure I would double dip...
Really looking forward to this, I've already pre-ordered it on the eShop!
@TheFrenchiestFry
Excellent! Thank you for the info. Since the gang stops in my old neighborhood of Osaka, I just may join them!
"With all the Phantom Thieves being playable"
Futaba isn't playable, unfortunately, along with two other Phantom Thieves.
@DEADCELL I mean Futaba also wasn't playable in P5 either. She's a Navigator just like Rise and Fuuka are in their respective games
Akechi isn't playable because of obvious reasons to those that played P5 third Royal semester not withstanding and I'm pretty sure Royal's true ending implied Kasumi being a Phantom Thief was a one time thing anyway. Her conclusion in the story seemed pretty definitive
I love how they're trying to re hype up the western release of a game that's been out for a year in japan thats a spin-off of a game not on the switch. Gotta love that irony
