Konami's Castlevania series isn't just famous for its tight gameplay, sprawling fortresses and inventive boss battles – it's also a series with some of the best music in the history of video games, and while Konami doesn't seem to have plans for any new entries right now (that's a recurring sentiment today, it seems) it has at least given us a selection of amazing Castlevania soundtracks to listen to.
The company has started a Konami Europe Spotify account which is bursting with classic Castlevania music. The albums available so far include Aria of Sorrow, Castlevania 64, Circle of the Moon, Portrait of Ruin and the legendary Symphony of the Night – the latter of which still isn't available on Switch, much to our annoyance.
Hopefully, Konami will add more music to this selection over time; we've love to have some of the 8 and 16-bit music on there – especially Super Castlevania IV, which has a soundtrack so good you'd swear it was produced by CD-based hardware.

Many people have not seen Castlevania but have listened to it.
A godly soundtrack.
Who can forget Bloody Tears, Simon's Theme, Vampire Killer, Bloody Tomes, Heart of Fire, Rainbow Cemetery and many more!

There should be a whole host of SOTN on the switch. Come on Konami don’t be cowards
Netflix series with 3 seasons. Soundtracks on Spotify.
But still no new games or decent ports for current gen consoles... Konami being Konami.
Very surprised Konami decided to do a nice thing like this. Not to the extent Square Enix has, of course, but Nintendo could learn from both of them and put a bunch of soundtracks somewhere we can legally listen to them instead of just randomly taking down fan uploads of them with no replacement.
I hope they resurrect the Castlevania series on Switch with a Metroidvania title or even a classic side-scroller. However if Contra Rogue Corps is anything to go by it may unfortunately be better off for Konami to leave the legendary legacy of the Belmont clan in the coffin and just release Symphony of the Night on the console, no pachinko machines included.
Harmony Of Dissonance is the one you want to blast in your car so hopefully it makes the cut soon. Although the quality that Aria Of Sorrow's tunes were uploaded at certainly leaves something to be desired. Sounds like it's actually coming out of a GBA speaker!
My favorite Castlevania is Portrait of Ruin.
I really hope the GBA/DS Castlevanias get ported one day

I can honestly hand on heart say that Castlevania's music is better than the actual games. It's a bit like Star wars, without the music, the magic is lost.
Always happy to see more video game music added on Spotify.
@Zuljaras I only got into castlevania this year and honestly it has become one of my favorite series. I watched the show a while ago and didn't like it but during quarantine I have played so many games.I have played Castlevania, Castlevania 3, Super, Haunted Castle, Rondo, Bloodlines, Rebirth, SOTN, Aria, and Dawn. But really the soundtrack is amazing on par if not above mario and zelda.
I started up Bloodstained a few days back. The Castlevania series is my favorite non-Nintendo IP and the music has always been a strong suit.
@NintendoWiiDS how about bloodstained curse of the moon and ritual of the night
I’d prefer a new game but this is ok I guess.
Huh. These were all available on Spotify under "Castlevania Sound Team" already.
I’d love to play Castlevania 64 on the Switch, has a killer soundtrack as well
Keep up the good work Konami, more Netflix stuff please.
@PickledKong64 Curse of the Moon was absolutely brilliant, especially considering it was a stretch goal for Ritual of the Night. I liked Ritual of the Night but the performance issues that plagued the Switch version at launch left a lot to be desired for me. While both of these channelled the spirit of Castlevania brilliantly, I’d love to see the original series make a comeback regardless.
@RazumikhinPG https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXqzoga3-O4 is a new Castlevania game.
@deKay I was wrong when I said that there were no bad Castlevania games.
This sad excuse for a Castlevania game only bears the same name.
@deKay isn't that a gacha mobile game?
@Zuljaras This is true, but it is a new game.
@RazumikhinPG Mobile, yes. Gacha, not so much. It looks awful, but hey, the kids like awful games these days.
@deKay seems like a gacha p2w game to me. Not the sort of thing I want to play, even if it has Castlevania in the name.
When I listen to VG music, Castlevania is usually in the top 5. Can't beat the many renditions of Bloody Tears. It was amazing when it played on the Netflix adaptation
@NintendoWiiDS the only problem is that I think konami cant make a good castlevania unless if iga and hos excellent team work on it but yeah I see what you're saying
At least in america, these have already been up for quite a time under the Castlevania Sound Team banner. I've been listening to lost painting and bloody tears for months on Spotify. Its a shame that they don't have anything before Rondo, though.
this was months ago, actually.. but it's cool that they're here. nintendo, you should really be doing this.
Wonderful! I enjoy them streaming, but also have physical editions, of which my favorite is Order of Ecclesia 2 CD soundtrack.
Can we get Castlevania Collection Volume 2 already?
I got the Castlevania Double Pack for GBA a couple of weeks ago and completed both Harmony of Dissonance and Aria of Sorrow in just 3-4 days. While I understand why HoD wasn’t added, I wish they would remake that game solely so the soundtrack can be updated (and fix the constant shoulder button mashing, k thnx).
@RazumikhinPG personally I think the netflix adaptation is kinda a let down that doesn't live up to the series
