When we first started covering digital downloads back in the Virtual Console Reviews and WiiWare World days of the site’s history, we made it our goal to review everything. Every single title – no matter how small – would get a review. It was a policy that worked well in those early years, and even when the Wii U and 3DS arrived, there was still a manageable amount of titles to cover.
However, the arrival of the Switch – which can sometimes get tens of new games each week – forced us to reassess this stance. We regretfully had to abandon the policy of reviewing absolutely everything and instead focus on the titles we deemed most worthy of coverage.
Naturally, we don’t get it 100% right each and every week, and there will be many Switch titles that have fallen through the cracks and didn’t get a review. Taking this into account, we thought it would be a good idea to offer you, the readers, the chance to right this wrong.
Using the comment field below, tell us the game you think we should review. We’ll pick out the most mentioned titles and review one a week for the next month or so (depending on the volume of responses). So what are you waiting for? If there’s a game on the Switch or Switch eShop that we haven’t reviewed, post it below and you could help elevate an underrated classic.

Off hand I can't think of any that you haven't written about. However, after some time to think about it a little, I'm sure I can come up with a few.
James Pond.
Why not let anyone who has played a game review it.
Since 90% of the games I hear about I learn about from your site first, and since virtually 100% of the time I check the site for its review before I purchase a game, it's going to be hard for me to find one I own and have played that you all missed! But I commend this effort and look forward to what the readership community comes up with! Thanks, NL!
Honestly, it's not a review what I'm missing from you (I think you're doing an awesome job there!), but some Impressions about Trials of Mana. Not only it dropped a demo recently, but many websites say they've been able to play for a pretty long time already. I don't know if that's your case, but I would appreciate at least some impressions about the demo. Not for me, I tried it and LOVED it, can't wait to get it, but for the people that don't know much about the game. Trials of Mana deserves more love, I bet it'll become one of the best surprises this year!
Would you please review the indie gems bundle, and Not Tonight?
911 operator deserves a proper review i‘d say, especially since it is on sale now
Wandersong is the only missing review that comes to mind, but it's pretty old now.
What about Block Quest Maker? It's basically a "Zelda Maker". Not enough people talk about it. The community for the game is pretty decent as well.
@zool I like this idea. Have a section for "User Reviews" or something. Could help with community inter-activeness more and it would just be a lot of fun!
Maybe some short reviews of indie titles. Not everything is going to be game of the year but reviews of bad/ average games are just important as reviews of great games.
I know there has been a number of games where I was surprised at how you never seemed to cover them, but that would take some research at this point.
Momodor Reverie Under Moonlight, really wanted to hear your opinion on it
Would you mind reviewing Coffee Crisis? Its usually very cheap, and a beat up style game
@the_beaver Yeah, I'd also like to see more demo impressions, that's always fun to read.
Old School Musical: really fun and stylish rhythm game that hasn’t received the attention it deserves
Roundguard, preferably by someone who is a Peggle fan.
I think the reviews are pretty bang on, would I would like to see is something similar to the friday feature videos they have on playstation access with a different subject each week.
I really had fun with tower defense game “Bloons Tower Defense 5”. It’s one that many skipped, but I would appreciate your thoughts, if you ever get to it.
Saga Scarlet Grace
Pianista: The Legendary Virtuoso
Sure it's technically a port of a mobile game, but at the same time it is different.
There are many games that catch my eye, but when I look them up, there’s little in the way of reviews.
Sea Bed, Dezatopia, Deep Diving Adventures, This Strange Realm of Mine…
And that’s just a few of the recent ones…
It would be nice for as many of the really obscure games as possible to get reviews.
All three of them are awsome games, and I would say atleast the first two are underrated
How about Anodyne? Currently on deep sale and looks interesting.
Be sure to review Ghost of a Tale when it comes to Switch!
Please review One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 Deluxe and One Piece Unlimited World Red, both for Switch.
Steven Universe: Save the Light
OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes
@AG_Awesome yes! Roundguard!
99Vidas deserves some love to support what is essentially a bunch of Youtube streaming mates who made a labour of love side-scrolling beat-em-up. It looks pretty solid too and I think it deserves some time in the sun.
Hidden in Plain Sight. Yeah, it has been out in one form or another for almost 9 years (starting as an Xbox indie game!) but it is perfect for the Switch and really deserves both more publicity and legitimate criticism/appreciation. But it is a niche title that really only the Switch is designed to take full advantage of ...
Nefarious! It's a game where you're the dude who kidnaps the princess and fights the heroes. Mediocre gameplay aside the dialogue is witty, and the music was composed by Matthew Taranto, of Brawl in the Family and Tadpole Treble fame.
@Zeldan64fan I second this. BQM is brilliant.
Please do a review for La Mulana 2! I bought the original game on Wii back in the day because of NLs recommendation (it got a 10!) and it turned out to be one of my favorite games ever. The sequel is even better. It is by quite a wide margin the most engrossing, challenging and rewarding metroidvania I've ever played.
-Vectronom !
-Wandersong
-Deru The Art of Cooperation
Love u NL
West of Loathing got decent coverage but its DLC wasn't spotlighted at all on the site. But aside from that, I can only think of an upcoming Switch release - Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling, to be exact (I've heard it's a really great love letter to classic Paper Mario) - and that's it. Don't think either of those fully suit the criteria but they were worth mentioning.
I would also like to second a few games that have been mentioned already.
Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight
Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling
Wandersong
Anodyne
Wandersong
Vectronom
These are both great
Steins Gate: Elite
Goblin Sword
Florence
Devil May Cry: 3
I recently played through Sea Salt and really enjoyed it. The gameplay is Pikmin-esque and the aim of the game is to wipe out humanity with various creatures at your disposal. Really fun, and the horror tones throughout the game are also well done.
Northgard! The best RTS on switch and you haven't reviewed it yet!
I have wondered about the Steins Gate game(s). Sometimes I search for games that don't even have a proper picture. I can't remember any specifically.
I can only think of kamiko
Edit: my bad when I searched before I didn’t see you guys reviewed it
digimon switch game
I don't think I saw you guys review the Guilty Gear ports on Switch. That would be a review I would hope you would do
@KayFiOS
Nefarious would be nice. Everytime I see it on sale I'm on the fence. Pretty sure I already searched for a review here several times!
Gonna definitely give another vote for Wandersong, and
Anodyne.
Anodyne needs some love as I hope to see the sequel on Switch some day!
Also Town of Light was ported to Switch recently, in one of the worst Switch ports I've ever seen. They turned a serious beauty of a game into an iPod touch game and it deserves to be assessed, given the fact that Edith Finch and Disappearance of Ethan Carter moved along so well.
how about review EVERYTHING! i’m sure you guys have time and you could just write fewer articles about celebrities tweeting about animal crossing or whatever. you can hire some of the people commenting in this thread
Uhhhhhhh...The Town of Light — the one starring the sixteen-year-old mental asylum patient? I'm allured by its supposed coverage of mature themes (mental illness, , etc.), but am off-put by its relatively dated visuals. Would like to know if it's bad or not.
Wunderling, excellent indie game!
The Legend of Dark Witch on Switch.
Then again, I'm surprised Nintendo Life didn't review The Legend of Dark Witch 3 on 3DS yet, which released in December 2017. In fact, if Dark Witch 2 wasn't good, then I don't think they're going to like its sequel any better either -_-
No, seriously: Dark Witch 3 is a dumpster fire
Legend of Dark Witch, it got a HD release on the Switch with lots of extras including the original game, minigames, and anime shorts. There was always news on this site about this series from trailers, reviews, and interviews so I was surprised when the remastered version of Dark Witch on the Switch never got a review. It's such a cool quirky plaform game with Mega Man and Gradius mechanics, I think HD version deserves a review.
Will: A Wonderful World and Steven Universe: Save the Light come to mind as good titles you missed.
@DeathByLasagna 👍 I agree.
I'd really like to see reviews for Ion Fury and Amid Evil when they come out on Switch; I'm only asking because while the former received little coverage, the latter received none (as far as I'm aware). But these are pretty much the only games I could come up with 😃
Kamen Rider: Climax Scramble Zi-O
Honestly, can't think of anything else off the top of my head that I own and wasn't reviewed...there are probably a few others though, as normally, I always check for reviews on here if it's not a mainstream title.
Nefarious
Goblin Sword
Cosmonauta
Tamashii
Aldred - Knight of Honor
Lovecraft´s Untold Stories
Haunted: Halloween ’86 - The Curse Of Possum Hollow
UnderHero
Murder by Numbers - think Phoenix Wright with Picross
I agree with @TheUnrestCure about Hidden in Plain Sight. It's a solid multiplayer game, even if it doesn't necessarily have longevity. Treadnauts also deserves some recognition. Its level of customization is awesome, and the gameplay reminds me of TowerFall.
Kemono Heroes!

@iToozey https://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/nintendo-switch/one_piece_pirate_warriors_3_deluxe_edition

I remember the good ol’ days when you guys use to review SNES, N64 and GameCube. Why not have a few member berries and boot up a retro system?
MotoGP 19 didn't get reviewed, though it feels a bit pointless to go back and review it by now. Just make sure you don't forget MotoGP 20 when it releases!
Another vote for Wandersong here
Northgard, i am looking for great strategy games but i am still not convinced.
I want to see a review about that game if its worth the price ( its on sale now)
99vidas
Legend of Dark Witch
Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight
Northgard or Amoeba Battle! Really want to see if these are worth buying. Rts’s are so rare on consoles.
Hire us all as staff. We will review the lot. Simples.
Semblance and Goblin Sword, please.
@Tropicallo It was on sale, real cheap, and all I can say is yup, it's a 2D platformer all right. I have conflicting feelings for the game because it is such a unique concept, along with the praises I gave it previously, but I was bored by the end of the second level. Is it bad? No. Is it boring? To me it is, but I feel like kids might get more out of it than I did.
@tobibra I was just thinking Tokyo School Life. Really is one of my favorite visual novels, I hardly see it talked about or covered (aside from a few news stories Nintendo Life had).
Marble it Up! and Incredible Mandy.
@Damo oops haha. Good game
Screencheat: Unplugged is a brilliant party game and a fun entry level fps
Goblin Sword
Anodyne
Coffee Crisis
99vidas
... many more of the always on sale games I’d like to know if they are worth trying when they go down to a dollar or less
Honestly nothing that I am too concerned about. You guys hit almost everything worth mentioning and a few that really are not worth mentioning.
You can't hit everything - there just are not enough of you.
Please review the next Fortnite season.
@Damo Never Stop Sneaking was one I was always wanting to see a review of, but it never happened.
Everytime I buy a game online, it's thanks to your reviews. I decided I'd try every game which get 9 out of 10 on Nintendolife's reviews. (And sometimes games with 8 or even lower, depending on the theme, the genre, etc.)
I wait for your reviews and mini-reviews every week. I'm French but I check the website almost everyday for news and reviews.
I'm already satisfied with the selection of reviews you publish. But yes! Pls write some more reviews!
Keep up the good work!
@cyberboycoolen Saga Scarlet Grace was the first one that came to mind for me too. It’s a weird one - it’ll need someone who appreciates RPGs that do something different. The guy who reviewed The Last Remnant, Mitch Vogel - take it on!
Not got any actual suggestions but wanted to say how you guys method of covering all WiiWare was what brought me to you. Of course, the deluge that is the Switch eshop makes such an undertaking almost impossible, so I understand the problem. Maybe it's time to create a rotating full time shovel ware reviewer. They should be banned from playing any AAA games while it's their watch but that should last no more than a month
Marble It Up! is the main one that springs to mind, Ultra Blast was one of the best games of the last generation but for some reason i haven't gotten around to buying its sequel yet, i'm sure it's worth the exposure a review would bring.
Other than that, Amoeba Battle and the three Secret Files games would be good too.
Heaven Dust... I absolutely loved it and perfect way to quench your survival horror thirst until Resi 3 comes along.
I feel like Kunai needs to be reviewed again, this time by someone who knows the difference between a roguelike and a metroidvania. Every single preview and review of it has referred to it as a metroidvania, including NL's preview, but the review on here repeatedly called it a roguelike and talked about 'each run'. How can I trust a review when the reviewer doesn't even seem to know what kind of game it is?
You could bring on other writers cough cough to help with that goal...
Personally, I would like to see a review of Soul Axiom Rebooted in order to see how much better than the Wii U version you think this new remastered and reworked version of the game is (assuming you think it's better at all).
Agree with one of the comments, something recent would be great like Deep Diving Adventures and This Strange Realm of Mine:).
Crash drive 2 please
have you guys heard of the hidden gem celeste?
Marble It Up! for sure. One of my favorites on the system. I've put quite a lot of hours into it.
Id like a review on Reverie: Sweet As edition. It plays like zelda but looks like earthbound. Figured NL would all over it.
Goblin sword is also one id like to hear about as someone else said.
Anodyne and shalnor as well
Review Perchang?
Steins;Gate Elite.
Apparently, 0 and My Darling's Embrace got reviews, but not Elite, which is essentially the original game but with animated scenes instead of the original artwork. This could be the time to fix that. Perhaps @SayemAhmd could do it since he reviewed 0 and My Darling's Embrace.
Hi Damian! Please consider reviewing:
Legendary Fishing
Wandersong
Heavy Burger
Evoland: Legendary Edition
DOOM 64
Mega Man Zero / ZX Legacy Collection
Samurai Shodown
R.B.I. Baseball '20
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX
Thank you!
Whip! Whip!
The Legend of Dark Witch
Castle of No Escape 2
Odallus: The Dark Call
Oniken: Unstoppable Edition
Shinobi Spirits S: Legend of Heroes
Commander Keen in "Keen Dreams"
Heavy Burger
Goonya Fighter
Alchemic Dungeons DX
Football Heroes Turbo - great fun arcade-y American Football game that feels a bit Tecmo Football plus modern leveling and deck collecting. Money well-spent.
@AFernandes03 Momodora is great. Love the art and charm. I didn't even know it was on Switch as I have it on PC.
Steins Gate Elite
Anodyne
Batman: The Enemy Within
Beat Cop
Evoland Legendary Edition
Goblin Sword
Hidden Folks
Jettomero
Mini Metro
Momodora
Northgard
Old School Musical
Plague Inc: Evolved
Reventure
Reverie: Sweet As Edition
Roof Rage
Songbird Symphony
Super Treasure Arena
The Eyes of Ara
The First Tree
The Stillness of the Wind
Wandersong
Whew! And I'm sure there's more as well!
Defense Grid 2. Garage(not sure if this was reviewed)
@Shard1 This. Please take a look at and review Pianista!
First, I want to nominate The Legend of Dark Witch on Switch as well, after I have seen other people post it.
Second, I didn't originally really have a game to mention, so instead I skimmed through Meacritic's list of top games with only 4-6 reviews (their main list otherwise only show games with 7 reviews or more).
Out of 76 games on the first 3 pages, 19 was never reviewed by Nintendo Life. Here's the list (plus the game's score and total number of reviews):
90 - 5 - Florence
85 - 5 - Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!!
85 - 4 - Wilmot's Warehouse
83 - 4 - MouseCraft
82 - 5 - The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - The Final Season Episode 4: Take Us Back
82 - 4 - Sega Ages: Phantasy Star
80 - 4 - La-Mulana 1 & 2: Hidden Treasures Edition
80 - 6 - The Bug Butcher
80 - 4 - Conduct TOGETHER!
80 - 4 - The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - The Final Season Episode 3: Broken Toys
80 - 4 - FutureGrind
80 - 6 - Ultimate Chicken Horse
80 - 4 - Knights of Pen and Paper +1 Deluxier Edition
79 - 4 - Waking Violet
79 - 4 - Sagebrush
79 - 6 - Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet
79 - 4 - Mindball Play
79 - 4 - Warlock's Tower
78 - 5 - Depixtion
I had wanted to at least get to the 75 range of games, but I also want sleep, so I'll follow up with this post tomorrow.
Vostok inc. If you like clickers and space shooters and arcades get it!
@Mince
The same i had when watching youtube vids about northgard. Glad i didnt buy it then.
Tnx for the reply.
Northguard. I was trying to decide whether or not to purchase that one on Xbox One or Switch just before the end of the year. Was sad at the time that NintendoLife hadn't reviewed it. I did a lot of digging on the Interwebs and eventually found enough information to go off of but this site is always my first go to when it comes to Switch (or anything Nintendo-related for that matter) info.
For those interested, I begrudgingly decided on purchasing the Xbox One version of the game, despite the lack of mobile play. There were too many comments out there mentioning slow down, primarily when zoomed out and viewing larger gameplay areas, on Switch. Since I still haven't played the game on Switch though, I would welcome NintendoLife's perspective on this.
Thanks for putting together this thread though all! The fact that you're soliciting feedback and are concerned about missing reviews at all shows the dedication you have to your members/fans. Really appreciate it!
Ultimate chicken horse, great family fun game, killing each other… we're playing it now we have to stay home against our nieces in the other side of town..
Megaman NT warrior
I have a couple of younger kids, and games aimed at them have not been reviewed, games I've gone and purchased and kinda wished I hadn't. Games like Paw Patrol and My Riding Champion could've done with a review before I paid money on them.
Logically, it might be a good place to start with any Nintendo exclusives.
Um, seriously? If you guys want to make an article on something you still haven't, the site's own game list may be pretty informative in that regard. But there is no game in existence that CAN'T live without a fansite feedback spotlight, so there's no "should get a review" in this environment. From the normal audience perspective, typing subjects of interest into the comment field takes as much effort as typing them into Google or YouTube for quick research.
But then, of course, I look up at the amount of comments already amassed and get reminded that we fans aren't a normal audience either. 😅
Community Inc
The Bug Butcher is awesome! Anodyne is really good. Wandersong was sweet then it just started getting buggy andcrashing a lot.
@JSDude1 I had never heard of this one...but a 9/10 on Steam? Looks great!
Pizza Titan Ultra!
@jkirchgessner07 yeah it’s actually a really fun series. I played the first one either on PC back in the day or 3DS, I don’t remember.
I'll also nominate La-Mulana 2 (or 1 and 2, but mostly 2).
Hell Is Other Demons! An absolutely incredible high score chasing game with loads of upgrades and weapons. It's like Downwell on steroids
The Legend of Heroes Cold Steel III.... Unless the Switch port got delayed or something?
Florence
Ultimate Chicken Horse
Battleship
Jeopardy
Wheel Of Fortune
The only thing I miss are UPDATED REVIEWS...mini re-reviews of games after patches.
For example Bloodstained, the Witcher 3 mortal kombat 11, saints row 3, doom 2016 etc
@Zanzox I second this. The number 1 thing I don't like is reviews for old games that is rated bad for stuff that new patches or new features have already fixed.
@TrainerX493 perfectly agree
When are the La-Mulana reviews coming in?
Dezatopia just came out and it definitely deserves a review!
It's a GREAT shmup, but without any coverage from a big site like NL it might fly under the radar.
Also, i'm really curious what NL's reviewers think about Quad Fighter K (known as Kyogeki Quartet Fighters in Japan).
It's even still a Switch exclusive, yet you never reviewed it.
I am also waiting for La-Mulana 1&2 reviews. These games are hard as hell, so I think the testers will have to spend some more days and nights playing it through to collect information for a review
Easy one: Final Fantasy Tactics.
A man can dream...
Unepic and Rogue Legacy
Not because it's a hidden gem, but I'd like to see a review of "Dude, Stop" because its description intrigues me but I don't have any idea what it is.
Ultimate Chicken Horse?
I vote for "Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers" and "Air Conflicts: Secret Wars."
Wandersong
Marble it up
Daggerhood
Can anyone identify the games on the green Switch's bottom row? The row below Arms and Monster Boy, of course.
Songbird Symphony
Wuppo
Mini Metro
I've been playing Harvest Moon Sunshine Islands lately, so I'm looking more into the franchise.
Harvest Moon: Mad Dash
Harvest Moon: Light of Hope
Are you doing a Ty the Tasmanian Tiger review?
Going back to this topic for asking a CrossCode Review ! I've only read good things about this one, so I'm really curious of what the NL team may think of it !
Thanks !
@Damo Hey Damo, there is game in eShop called Ultrawings. It’s 50% off, and looks a lot like Pilot Wings 64 (from the eShop video I get that Pilot Wings 64 feeling)
Would be very interested if NL could review this game.
Thanks
I’m pretty late here, sorry. But I got Pocket Mini Golf and it’s fun. Please review it!
Atom RPG. it is a great game and deserves a review
