Original Story Tue 10th Dec, 2019 04:15 GMT: On top of the Indie World video presentation happening later today in the west, Nintendo is hosting one exclusively for Switch owners located in Japan.
Instead of a livestream, this presentation is a direct upload to YouTube on 11th December:
As with all Japanese Nintendo presentations, this video is expected to feature some Japan-only announcements tied to the Switch.
Are you looking forward to these indie-focused Nintendo presentations? What games are you hoping to hear about? Tell us below.

Probably not too much relevant for me to come from the Japanese video but the Just Shovels & Knights update for Just Shapes & Beats was announced during one of these so you never know.
More Summer Sweethearts for Japan.
fingers crossed for a hatoful boyfriend port
Hoping for more Silksong news.
I’m hoping for an update on deltarune chapter 2 release date
So this was a thing for a decade now but I believe it's time to get rid of that "Indie"-label.
It's like a stigmata of weirdness that often just doesn't fit. "hey cool, wha's Hollow Knight about? .... ah ok, it's an indie game ..."
There was a time when it was something really unique that there are independent studios creating awesome games. But today it's like Indiegames are a genre. Which they aren't. In music and movies there's also a separation but not as hard as in gaming. And I feel like some Indie-devs might be dammned to always stay indie devs due to that. Instead, there should just be brilliant games, no matter where they come from and Independent studios should be just treated like any other studio. There are some who manage to get together with huge publishers like Planet Moon Studios (Ori) and they then do get the response they deserve. Due to that, Ori managed to step out of that Indie-shadow and gained respect among the whole community. But it's like one example among a zillion of games that could never make it that far.
I don't know, maybe I'm alone with this but it feels so unnecessary and kinda discriminating at times
@valcoholic interesting view. I understand that a good game is a good game and should be simply took on its merits. Agreed. I also see that at times the term “indie” can be to the dev’s detriment. On the other hand, it could be worn as a badge of honor. Like indie music bands often do and sometimes, in the advertising industry too. It can mean independent of mind, brave, talent shining through despite the (perceived) lack of giganticorp mega buck backing.
For me, I take the game in its merits, reviews here and on YouTube. I’ve played way more Touryst than say, Doom or whatever this week
@Moridin it's not gonna shadow drop
That first game looks awesome. I hope it comes out here eventually.
@KIRO Indie label in music certainly doesn't mean that anymore. Tons of charting bands are referred to as indie.
Nice to see Japan is getting Baba. The game contains no tutorialisation, though, so I hope the various modifier words can be understood easily by non-English speakers.
Love all the Sakunahime footage I can get.
@valcoholic Sounds to me like the problem is mostly perception as indies aren’t considered to be on the same level as so-called AAA titles. I think Nintendo has changed that perception somewhat by doing these spotlights. But still no indie titles were nominated for GOTY this year
But some formerly indie studios have been purchased recently like Ninja Theory, Inxile, Obsidian and are thus no longer “indie”. I’m not sure if that is good or bad
Wow Japan are only just getting Into The Breach? One of the best games of 2018!
Synaptic Drive is basically Custom Robo and I want it.
Yooo, What The Golf is coming to Switch!
Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin looks interesting. Wonder why we didn't get it in the Western stream.
