Update (27th Sep, 2019): Teslagrad's physical edition on Nintendo Switch is now available in stores. The Limited Run pre-orders mentioned below sold out before launch, but as promised, it is also now available from other retailers.
You can pick it up for £24.99 at Amazon or GAME.
Original Article (12th Jul, 2019): We've known that a physical release for Teslagrad has been in the works for some time, but we now know its release date and a little more info, too. You'll be able to get your hands on it from 27th September.
Pre-orders for the standard physical release are already live on Limited Run's website. It's worth noting, though, that this isn't a Limited Run product - it'll also be available from other retailers at launch and isn't a part of Limited Run's numbered collection.
Publisher Soedesco has also revealed a Value Pack release "for the true Teslagrad fans". It contains all of the following:
- The base game Teslagrad for either Nintendo Switch or PlayStation Vita, with exclusive cover art
- A superior quality tin case, coloured red for Nintendo Switch and blue for PS Vita
- A physical art book with hand-drawn art from the game, including new concept art
- An instruction card with helpful pointers on how to play the game
- An iconic pin depicting the main character Teslakid
- A unique keychain with the Teslagrad symbol
If you haven't played it already, Teslagrad is well worth your time. We gave it a very solid 8/10 in our review.

Saw this a few days ago, but not sure about it, saw some game play and on the ropes to be fair.
Will just wait until it hits Amazon as standard edition though, as shipping from Limited Run is a bit mental, but if you want physicals....
Glad it’s not limited run exclusive happy to wait to pay and get it - LRG stage October delivery earliest. Which is standard for them. I’ll get on amazon later
I've got the Wii U physical edition. Quite a nice game, but the controls are a little too slippery at times making some of the puzzles frustrating.
Teslagrad is something I've been interested in a while, so I'll probably grab a physical copy.
Will probably be on July 19th since that's the last day for LRG's Transistor pre-orders, and they might have something else for the Switch taking pre-orders that day.
@Dogtanian Thanks for that info, the game has been on my wish list for ages. I love the look of it, but reviews echo what you said. I can struggle through a platformer if the controls are great (Celeste) but it doesn't feel fair when the controls are slipperty. Thanks!
@dugan No worries There's so many better alternatives on the Switch that it's probably only worth checking out if you're a big fan of the genre and if it's heavily discounted on the eShop.
Got this game discounted on WiiU and really enjoyed it. Great art style, atmosphere and solid puzzle/platforming/Metroidvania. Easy to recommend for any fan of any combination of these. Would definitely pick up physical for Switch if I could get a UK copy. Any news on distribution this side of the pond?
@WrongChops
The press release shown above has a PEGI 7 rating, so presumably yeah.
Last time SOEDESCO did a release like this for Owlboy, they had some available via Play-asia as well.
Thanks @RupeeClock
The Owlboy physical is still pretty easy to pick up so fingers crossed we get a copy of this too!
I love this game. It's one of my favorite Metroidvania style games to replay. It's one of those games where it's satisfying both to slowly explore for 100% and to speed run.
They could have made it a double pack and add World to the West.
Nifty! I'll have to eventually pick this up, and Shantae.
2 value packs came in yesterday!
Coolshop has it for only 45 EUR incl shipping!
I was only shocked to see that they were delivered in a bag! However even more surprised that they did not show any damage!
