One of the most wonderful things about the Nintendo Switch is the modular design, which allows you to remove your old boring Joy-Con controllers and slide in some new colourful ones to show the world how individual you are.
There's quite a variety of different colours of Joy-Con available now (there are now over 250 possible Joy-Con colour combinations), so we've rounded them all up for you in this handy guide. If you're suffering from the infamous 'Joy-Con drift', Nintendo is reportedly repairing them no-questions-asked in some territories, so you can buy these sets with some confidence. If you'd rather not wait, though, check out our guide on how to fix a drifting Joy-Con analogue stick.

Pastel Pink / Pastel Yellow Joy-Con
If you want to add some pastel warmth to your Switch this summer, then the yellow and pink pair are the perfect partners. They make us want to sit at the beach and eat sweets out of a paper bag. Definitely, a fetching pair that'll brighten your Switch up.
Pastel Purple / Pastel Green Joy-Con
Perfect for the summer season, two new sets of pastel Joy-Con were announced in June 2023 as we prepare to welcome the sun. These lovely ice cream-coloured Joy-Con are lilac and mint, two cool shades that make us feel warm inside. Subtle, soft, and swish.
Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Nintendo Switch Joy-Con
This pair of Zelda-themed Joy-Con released alongside The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD and very nice they are, too. Featuring straps which reference Master Sword spirit Fi's legwear, the only thing that puts us off these lovely controllers is the different shade of blue each one sports. A quick glance and you might think they're the same... but they're not!
Fortnite Edition Nintendo Switch Joy-Con
This standalone set of Fortnite-inspired Switch controllers sport a lovely rich blue hue on the left (with a Fortnight 'F' stamped on the rear) and a fetching banana-yellow on the right (with the Home button acting as one of Fortnite-Banana-Dude's eyes). Fan of the game or not, that's a joyous pair of Joy-Con right there...
Animal Crossing Limited Edition Nintendo Switch Joy-Con
These Animal Crossing: New Horizons Joy-Cons are only available (in the West) as part of the Animal Crossing Switch bundles listed below. My word, they do look lovely, though...
Flashy Neon Green Nintendo Switch Joy-Con
This fetching set of Neon Green Joy-Con could work well for the gunge enthusiast, eco-warrior or gamma radiation fan alike. This matching pair originally launched just a few days before Luigi's Mansion 3 on Halloween making them ideal if you plan to team-up with Gooigi for some trick-or-treating any time of the year.
Unfortunately, it seems these were a Best Buy exclusive set, so you might have trouble tracking down a dual pack.
Purple / Orange Joy-Con
Did someone say custom Wario and Waluigi Joy-Con? We doubt this was Nintendo's intention, but fans of the Super Mario dastardly villains have been quick to point out that this lovely pair of controllers do look as if they could have been based on the pesky baddies we all know and love. Also, a purple Joy-Con? Yes please!
Blue / Neon Yellow Joy-Con
This contrasting set of blue and neon yellow controllers came alongside the purple/orange set. The neon yellow Joy-Con are usually found as a same-colour set, so having one thrown in with a non-neon Joy-Con makes this option one of the more standout combinations. Have at it.
Flashy Neon Yellow Nintendo Switch Joy-Con
These eye-catching neon yellow Joy-Con were released to coincide with the launch of ARMS. Much like the Switch brawler with its eye-dazzling roster of colourful brawlers, these eye-catching Joy-Con do stand out from the crowd. If you are in the market for a pair of Joy-Con which match, then these could be the one for you. Neon Yellow is a bold choice and you always wanted to be bolder, didn't you?
Splatastic Neon Pink & Green Nintendo Switch Joy-Con
If Neon Yellow wasn't bright enough for you, then allow us to present you with the Neon Pink & Green Joy-Con. Released to coincide with Splatoon 2, these motion controlled beauties scream out "I bloody love Splatoon" and if that registers with the grandma sitting next to you on the bus, then this is no bad thing. Why not alternate right-sided pink Joy-Con and left-sided green Joy-Con though Nintendo? You monsters!
Super Mario Red Nintendo Switch Joy-Con
Released to coincide with the launch of the wonderful Super Mario Odyssey, these red Joy-Con are a great choice for those who wish neon colours were left in the '90s along with dungarees and bum-bags. These red Joy-Con are stylish and yet understated, a perfect choice for someone who wants to express themselves without drawing too much unwanted attention from paparazzi.
While these Joy-Con can be picked up with the Super Mario Odyssey Switch bundle, they can also be picked up separately in North America. In Europe you are bang out of luck, however, so we've kindly dropped in a link for Play-Asia for Euro readers. Nintendo can't stop us from importing these lovely region-free Joy-Con from Hong Kong. We know, because we've done it! Bwahahaha!
Pikachu & Eevee Edition Nintendo Switch Joy-Con
These Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! themed Joy-Con can only be obtained when you buy the Pikachu & Eevee Switch console bundle. Obtaining these could get expensive, although they were available separately in Japan. Unfortunately, you'll have to travel to the My Nintendo Store or Pokemon Center Online in Japan to get them. Mail order options would be nice!
What can we say about these Joy-Con? Well, they remind us of mustard. There, we said it.
Super Smash Boring Grey Nintendo Switch Joy-Con
For a game as vibrant and colourful as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate we have no idea why these Joy-Con are so boring to look at. Would it be churlish of us to assume that Nintendo overestimated how many people would want the standard grey Joy-Con and produced way too many of them? Yes, it looks like those lines were added at a later date to cash in on Smash – we're on to you, Nintendo!
You can't buy these Joy-Con separately, so you'll have to pick up a super smashing Switch bundle to obtain these rare Joy-Con.
Classic Neon Red & Blue Nintendo Switch Joy-Con
Like hot and cold taps, these Joy-Con are colour coded to suit your mood. The neon colour brings to mind happy days in the '90s watching The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air before this humble scribe was sentenced to writing guides about Joy-Con colours.
Pro-tip: you can buy the alternative left/right combo to match the ones which came with your Switch so you can have matching sets of left and right Neon Red and Neon Blue. The perfect solution for anyone who has a mild touch of OCD.
Classic Grey Nintendo Switch Joy-Con
If you have grey Joy-Con it's likely that you got these bundled with your Switch at launch because the Neon options were all sold out. If you purposely chose grey Joy-Con then we will not judge you; this is the "don't look at me" choice, you are probably too busy enjoying yourself to wish to attract attention with your choice of controller colour.
Then, of course, there are other options...
Hori D-Pad Joy-Con
If you love playing retro games on your Switch, then it's definitely worth picking up an officially licensed Hori left hand Joy-Con which sports a rather lovely d-pad rather than the regular face buttons found on a normal Joy-Con. You can only use these when docked on the Switch, they are not wireless. Also they lack the HD rumble feature found on regular joy-con, but if you want the accuracy of a d-pad for playing games such as Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection then these are made for you.
In the West you can get these in Mario, Zelda and Pikachu themes. The Japanese option which you can get from Play-Asia is a rather fetching dark blue colour.
Hori Split Pad Compact
Smaller, slicker, and much closer to a Joy-Con in design, the Hori Split Pad Compact offers the comfort of the Hori Split Pad Pro and the ability to reassign buttons at the touch of... well, a button. These come in either Grey/Yellow or a rather dashing Apricot Red.
Custom Joy-Colours
While the official selection of colours available from Nintendo is slightly limited at present, it was only a matter of time until the modding community came up with their own solutions. There's even a transparent option along with a case replacement, which looks great!
These can be purchased quite cheaply from places such as Etsy, however, you'll have to take out the innards of your Joy-Con to place in this new housing, so it's not for the faint of heart. Alternatively, if you're willing to pay a premium, you can order pre-modded sets from companies like Colorware.
Nintendo Switch Online - Nintendo Entertainment System / Super NES Controllers
While these official NES style controllers aren't strictly Joy-Con, they do dock on the side of your Switch for charging. You can even play games with them while docked, but your mileage doing this may vary.
These can only be ordered from Nintendo directly, as can their SNES counterparts (although they don't dock on the side of the console) and you'll need to have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription to order them, too.
Nyko Dualies
Last but not least is a third party Joy-Con style offering from Nyko. Lovingly named "Dualies" these Joy-Con wannabees offer an alternative to the official Joy-Con. They don't dock on to the Switch, so you can only use them wirelessly. Also, they do not have an NFC reader, but they do feature rumble. You'll charge them via a USB-C cable.
Nyko says that the larger, more rounded edges of the Dualies allow for an improved grip, especially while playing sideways, giving more comfort and improved ergonomics. We're yet to be convinced that these are really necessary when official Joy-Con don't cost that much more.
So that's all of the Joy-Con available for Switch right now. Which is your favourite?

It doesn`t really matter their colour if they continue to drift AF...
Has anyone else noticed why the red and blue controllers are the other way around vs the ones you get with the console? Red is on the right with console, but red is on the left when bought separate. This is handy as I'll always know which set is which but I have not seen anyone mention it?
They're all ugly except for Grey and Mario Red. I would have bought Mario Red for my second set, but not for $30 extra.
How come the bezel around the home button still doesn't light up? That's what I wanna know...
I finally have my dual green. I’m happy. At least until Zelda gold.
The Red/Blue set is an exception:
If bought as part of a Switch bundle it will be a Red right Joy-Con and a Blue left Joy-Con
If bought as separately it will be a Red left Joy-con and a Blue right joy-con.
I would love it if they released those retro style SNES, N64, Game Cube colours.
I have the grey because I’m boring and Mario red because I’m fun
Honestly, Joy-Cons are a huge missed opportunity. Both themed paint jobs and different buttons like we saw in the concepts (SNES buttons + colours!) just after the Switch was announced would sell like hot cakes.
I'm still baffled why Nintendo doesn't use this idea to the fullest. Unless it's some production issue.
Really, though. I only really like Splatoon ones. Others are OK, but Pokemon and Smash editions seem truly bland and uninspired. Why, Nintendo, why?!
P.S. I just thought of a cool feature. Home menu themes that change appearance based on what controllers you have attached. Since Switch can already detect models/colours.
Got the Grey with my switch, ended up buying the Super Mario Party Bundle for this Christmas for the Neon Green and Neon Yellow Joy-cons!
The lack of colours available in the UK is a pain. I'd love to see double red, double blue and the inverted Splatoon colours available.
Umm where is the Labo set, they look amazing!
They need to just make a JoyCon2.0. The current ones only work for like 2 months then its drift city.
Needs a Dpad. No mention of Horis solution to that though. I'm kinda surprised Nintendo hasn't made one themselves with a dpad and all the functionality unlike the hori.
Ok, what the heck are bum-bags?
@MattFox I am having drifting problems with both pairs of joy cons now, it's really frustrating
Whoever wrote this up needs to check their Splatoon joycon links.
@MattFox Mine drove me crazy over Christmas trying to play Mario Odyssey. Mario would just turn and walk off a ledge all of a sudden.
The little catch that clips them to the Switch is broken on one of them too.
These have to rank as Nintendo’s most fragile controllers ever. Even the N64’s analogue sticks took 4 or 5 years before they started wearing out for me. I wouldn’t mind if they weren’t so terribly expensive.
Seriously Nintendo is leaving money on the table. I am addicted to buying Joy-Cons and I know I am not alone. I already own 3 sets and have a 4th on the way that will have a d pad put in. If Nintendo would give me the option to buy various styles and color of Joy-Cons I would, but as it stands I will just have to find someone willing to modify mine on the cheap like I have been.
What does everyone mean by "drifting"? I don't think I've come across this yet.
I definitely fall into the owning a set of grey controllers because the Neon set switch was sold out at launch category.
Not too long after launch I picked up a set of Neon controllers along with snipperclips. There's only myself the wife and 5 year old daughter so having a 3rd set just feels unnecessary (for now)
I'm boring, which makes me unusual, and I love it lol. Though I was hoping Nintendo would've released black and white joycons, even if they coincided with Smash. I would've rocked the black/white, white/white, or black/black, but oh well.
@Finlderp Dust and stuff gets under the rubber cap and then gets in the roller gubbins. Simply stick the straw of keyboard cleaner spray in and a tiny burst of the compressed air makes it go away.
after finally purchasing a pro controller for my big man hands its hard to go back to joy cons. what we need is the pro joy con
@Blofse I think the main reason is to give the ability to opt for that poppin double red, or that sweet sweet double blue combo
Nice 'feature' as a way of affiliated advertising. Shameless.
@Painay Now THAT'S a smart idea
Waiting patiently for the Labo joy-cons to go retail...
Joy-con break so easily, my first two pairs started drifting to the point where they were unusable after only seven months. I have two new pairs now and I'm barely using them cause of how fragile they are. I like the joy-con but It's a issue when your controllers break so easily that you don't want to use them for what they're made for. It also dosen't help that they're really expensive.
WANT pikachu and eevee. Don't want to buy a new switch to get them. Also don't want to pay the flog off price on eBay for $200..... aaaaaaahhhhh Nintendo release them
Replacement joycons, especially for a different color, are just too expensive. Instead, I bought the neon green joycon straps. I slide these on my gray joycons and they look great (@ $5 each). So, yes, I do play my Switch in handheld mode — but set it on the table and play with the controllers detached.
Expensive, fragile, and as others have mentioned and I've experienced, they belong in a Fast and Furious movie with the amount of drift they have. Between these and the lackluster Dpad on the Pro controller, I've never been so disappointed in Nintendo controllers before. That includes the N64 controller.
I only have grey but wish I could get a pair that's blue and green without buying 2 sets of joy cons.
I have grey from launch and then the neon yellow. It is hard to explain just HOW bright they are until you see them in person. Pretty brilliant. I love them.
@Gravitron I've had mine since February and they both work great. Never experienced any drift.
@Medic_alert Ok thank you. Wonder why the name change?
@MattFox I just sent my joy cons in today to get repaired from drifting.
You should really say about the joycon straps too
NintendoLife needing more affiliate link $$ Now?
I got grey on my console and the neon yellow for my secondary joycon controller (AKA TV controller). I love them setup like that, the grey gives the console a more complete and mature look and feel IMO and the neon joycons just look nice on their own.
The Splatoon 2 joycons are the only ones I didn't like to be honest, I wasn't a fan of the original blue and red controller but the pink and green was just especially off-putting for me.
@Finlderp like when you are playing BOTW and Link just decides to walk off a mountain unprovoked. When you play Rocket League and your car just decides to take a sharp turn. It's the worst.
I have all of them (plus straps) except for the grey and Smash ones. I assume that the Smash ones would be read as standard grey ones by the console, again assuming that each Joy-Con only contains a single colour code which is identifiable by the console.
My favourites are the pink and green ones, followed by yellow. I don't much care for the default red and blue.
@Prof_Yoshtonics You are lucky. It's not a big issue anymore because I have 2 pro controllers now. It was the most frustrating thing in the world for me. I only use joycons when I am playing my friends at mario kart to challenge myself more because I win most of the time. It would be nice to use my switch handheld without having to quit out of frustration though
Got grey with my console and Splatoon pair with Mario party and have Splatoon Pro controller thing too. Love controllers have Another pro controller that’s plain and a couple of wired - Zelda and Pokken one, 3 8bitdo controllers, wired smash GC one... the new wireless GC one and the official nes pair too.
On my 3rd set of joycons now. My day 1 spare set grey left joycon's joystick takes a second or two to fully register movement. My day 1 console set left neon blue joycon's joystick jumps to the right every few seconds. Both of them started acting up after a year of play. Got a new neon red blue set now. Hope I don't kill these too.
One color is still missing.
Where is White Joy Cons with Super Famicom buttons like mine ?
@Medic_alert lol. I just looked it up. I can definitely see why the name is different!!!
Not sure I really need another set but if atomic purple comes up them it's instant purchase.
I forgot how expensive Joy-cons are!
@nagash @MattFox @BulkSlash @Gravitron @Illusion
You guys can send your Joycons for guarantee, clean them or, if those are not options, replace the stick yourself.
SpawnWave on YouTube has a recent video detailing the process, he says it's easy. Not much to lose if you are not going to use your Joycons in that state anyway.
... On the other hand, search for BeatEmUps to see how NOT to do it.
@Anti-Matter those are gorgeous but does the white get dirty easily? I feel my sweaty hands wouldn't be good for them lol.
Anyone notice that most of the prices don't match what you get when you open the link? Joycon prices are so volatile it seems. I still use the Splatoon ones the most but it's good to have backup Joycons at home.
I feel like its at least worth noting the black dev joycons.
I already have too many of these stupid things. I'm not going to buy any more. ....at least, not until they produce Yoshi variants. Which I doubt will happen, but hey, you never know.
I need dark purple joycons. I refuse to buy those neon ones, they just look ridiculous to me.
I’m holding out on buying a second set because I’m hoping for them to release the Labo cardboard or SNES themed ones.
@RandomLeo00
Had to send my Switch in for a repair (overheating, fan sounded like a motorcycle) so I sent my left joycon with it, I'm sure it'll be fine after that.
I was 2 months expired on my warranty but they did it for free and extended my warranty for an additional 6 months, thought I'd share that for those of you with broken Switches out of warranty.
Also I would like a US Super Nintendo themed Joycon set. Love the purple and grey. Wouldn't mind solid purple and solid teal either. My two favorite colors.
@Nintendofan83
"Does the white get dirty easily?"
Nope.
My White Joy Cons was still stay clean even being used for long time.
I'd really like some more color options. I am a sucker for this sort of things. Color combos I'd like to see:
Blue with black buttons
Green with black
White with black
NES color-scheme
SNES color-scheme
Gamecube color-scheme
I'd also like to see more game themed ones officially from Nintendo. We got the LG Pokemon ones, but that color combo is hideous. Maybe we will get better ones from the 2019 game. We have the Smash ones too, but they are basically just grey with some highlights...
I’ve had issues with drift in my left joycons. If you’re still in warranty get it fixed for free. If it’s the joycons that came with the switch the warranty period is longer. Unfortunately if you’re out of your warranty the fix is $30 USD.
I don't know why that "humble scribe" thing annoys me so much, but it really does annoy me. 😫
I have the standard neon ones and the left Joy Con died on me while I was on vacation in Tokyo. That gave me a good excuse to buy the red ones, as I am in Europe and as the article says they are not sold separately here.
After I had used the red ones for several month I tried the old ones again and the dead one actually came back to life.
@1UP_MARIO
Exactly the same here.
@RandomLeo00 I assumed I was out of warranty as it was a launch system. I've actually got the replacement parts sitting in my basket on eBay, I'm just waiting for a decent eBay site-wide discount code before buying!
I got grey because I’m an old gamer. Come on Nintendo, release more shades of grey (just not fifty of them)
While I think the Joy Con are great, I am very disappointed with their build quality. I have a Neon blue/red set who's analog sticks are broken and no longer register input. Before they broke there was analog drift too.
I have an X button on my Mario red set that gets slightly stuck and feels odd every 10th or so press. I also have an analog stick on that set that works, but now feels weird sometimes, like the travel mechanism is loose or something. I have a similar button issue on my yellow neon set with the B button too.
To repair a Joy Con with Nintendo when it is over a year old it costs £30 for each individual Joy Con, no matter what the issue. That is ridiculous, I could buy a new one for just £10 more?! Really not cool, they clearly made it that price in order to encourage more sales.
I just need a left one as mine seems to be pressing up every so often
This article needs correcting. Your images for green&pink joycons from Nintendo UK Store and Amazon UK are the opposite way around. STOP MAKING IT EVEN MORE CONFUSING
Wait, there are mirrored green & pink joy cons (going from the playasia link) or is this just concept art....
Currently I am in the sweetspot with 4 joycons, nonred, neonblue, neongreen and neonpink.
The yellow arms ones are the best, glad I have them. Looking to buy some more soon, once they end up on a flash deal on Amazon.
I have the grey ones (that came with my Switch) and the Pokémon pair (which I imported).
need a see through purple, GBC/ GBA style
wow the nyko ones are very interesting looking
I've had my joy cons since one week after launch. Just a month ago one stopped responding. Sent it to Nintendo, they couldn't fix it, but replaced it for less than price of two joy cons. So, I am very happy with that. While I would love to buy more colors, I do use the pro coontroller most, so why?
I got the Neon Red/Blue as they came with the switch and the Neon Yellow ARMS ones with.... ARMS.
I'm quite fond how colourful the Switch looks and I'm happy Nintendo went with giving us plenty of options make it an eye catcher. Kinda reminds me of when I was a kid with the N64, we had black, grey, blue and yellow controllers with it.
Devices made for fun should have the option to look fun.
I have greys (got with the console) and Neon red/blue ones. I actually wanted the pink/green ones, but they were sold out; I intend to pick a pair with Mario Party if it's still available.
The yellow ones are disgusting and the Smash ones would be better if they were black instead of red. In fact, why aren't there black or black/white Joy Con yet? Or a Mario Red/Luigi Green pair. Would make perfect sense.
I actually like the Pokemon bundle ones. I am surprised DIablo didn't get themes ones (black would be perfect here, maybe with grey straps).
@nagash @BulkSlash @Octarian @RandomLeo00 Tks man, I'll look it up. I used to subscripe to BeatEmUps till he started to shave during reviews and ll that lol. My Switch is imported, and I'm pretty sure it's day one edition, so no way to use the guarantee.
Lol I almost gave up on Mario Odyssey for the same reason. He would change directions and run to his death. I also dropped to Silver in Rocket League because I would miss goals and let them score because of the drift..
So if you want those Pokémon or Smash ones you gotta dish out nearly £350!? ... Nah nah nahhh ... I don't ever use my original day one grey as my hands are huge lol the only time I will buy others (same with pro) is if Metroid ones are available 😍😍😍 even then I won't use them lol
The Dualies aren’t that bad look to be honest. I’d like to use those over my joy cons when playing them sideways, looks more comfortabk
@tomwinsagain @Mamabear @Octarian @RedMageLanakyn @Yoshinator @nagash @Gravitron @MattFox
If your joy-cons are drifting, here's the solution:
The problem is dust, all you need to do is lift up the flap under the stick and blow really hard at it. Be careful not to blow your spit in there. Same technique to cure NES cartridge 30 years ago works today with all joy-cons.
Got the neon red and blue that came with it.
Could go for the red ones or the neon pink and green.
But i barely use those things.
Docked mode and Pro controller is where its at for me.
If Nintendo ever does a cool Pro controller special edition i might indulge myself with it.
@MattFox
Oh God. I cannot play Smash online with these much longer. Like playing with one arm behind my back.
Luigi's Mansion joy cons could be good.
@Retupmocnin I already tried that, I mean my Joy cons are BROKEN broken, but thanks anyway.
I really want the neon yellow but prices are ridiculous right now. Probably just stick to my standard grey until I find the neon yellow for around $50. Spent a fortune of Mario red joy-cons for my older son and 2 green splatoon joy-cons for my younger son.
@Finlderp I'm guessing it's when you're playing and the joy cons start slipping up and off the base. Happens to me always at the worst times in fifa
I have the grey and mario red ones!
I’m all set on the Joy Con front, but still regret not buying a Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Pro Controller.
@Lemmy_the_Koopa there are alternate pink and greens. They were released in America to buy.
But hey fact checking is always the last action when rushing a money making article ;p
Easier to say the official ones I am missing, I've also got all the Hori dpad units (I will never touch that Nyko rubbish)
1) The Labo competition ones
That is is all.
Another correction to make is that you can buy the Let's Go and Smash Joycons from Nintendo Japan using a shipping service or sellers like Nin-Nin Games.
@GauBan Thanks for the intel... I am a poor eu boiii ;__;
@Lemmy_the_Koopa I'm an EU penguin, but yeah we do get screwed sometimes
@Medic_alert I want rainbow ones that sparkle!!!!!
Some more updates.

I just want a pair of nice dark green ones. Not interested in the neon green.
@Finlderp Then you are one of the lucky few. Drifting refers to when the controller moves a direction that is not desired by the user. My Left Joy-Con drifts downwards all the time for every game, for example. It's very inconvenient both for the user and the one who has to fix said problem. It was such a big deal that consumers enacted Nintendo to a Class-Action Lawsuit (that we won).
Too bad the drifting takes all the "Joy" out of the Joy-Cons
I bough dark blue joy cons both left & right dark blue from a japanese seller on eBay few days ago they have the official logo on the back all the numbers and everything exactly as the original they don’t look fake nor customized...i haven’t found any info in the net about a dark blue joy con set !
Wonder when they will update this list. I really like the Blue-Yellow, Purple-Orange, green-pink, Mario red, and the SS joy cons. The blue is very nice but too bad I hardly ever see those in stock at my stores.
@Ketsumeishi dark green would be nice and you can add a triforce on them(LoZ)
Nice list, but you forgot the darker red Mario Odyssey joy-cons
I got my switch with the animal crossing joy cons and I really like those, HOWEVER, I also bought a separate pair of blue and red controllers so I could play multiplayer and the blue one drifts 🥲
So... There are actually 30 obtainable official sets that you can get, I know because I have them all. There are 3 other sets that are harder to get than unobtanium in the Avatar movie, they are the Labo set, the Developer set, and the Thunderbolt set. The Pastel sets at the top can be paired by getting the "Customize" switch from the Nintendo of Japan site, you can also get the Right Neon Purple, the Right Blue (dark blue not neon) and the Left Neon Orange sets in the same way. This site is also missing the Japanese console exclusives Disney Tsum Tsum, Dragon Quest, and Monster Hunter Rise. Also missing are the console exclusive all white set from the OLED switch, the Splatoon 3 switch, the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet set, the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom set, and finally the Mario Red and Blue console set. As a last note, the final missing set is the Famicom set that is like the original Nintendo set, but is/was available in Japan.

@HobbitGamer It does light up if you connect it with bluetooth, but i think that is the only time it does
