Preordered last week already (and the limited edition of the game)! Can't wait! He is sooooo cute!
I need to pre-order the limited edition of the game so badly... Afraid it will disappear quickly
Another Link for my collection!
This is going to be the first and most likely ONLY amiibo I buy.I just can't resist that face.
Aaaaand it's gone
That's the face of a serial killer.
I already pre odered Collectors Edition! This will be my first Amiibo though and my last one i think.
....what does it do though?
heading to gamestop this evening
@JamesJose7 Ahhh I missed it. Bummer.
So getting this. Only LoZ amiibo's that I can't get my hands due to the insane prices are the more recent OoT & SS Link. Btw, how do we refer to this version of Link? We've had adult, child, 8 bit, toon etc. Toy Link maybe??
Anyone listing the collectors edition of the game yet? Can't see it on Game/Amazon by search
@RazumikhinPG Pretty sure it already has. I didn't even realise it was available to pre-order but everywhere says sold out.
I just pre-ordered one from GAME, presuming they're still available? (Hopefully doesn't become a cancellation situation due to lack of stock)
I'll wait for this to show up on Nintendo UK Store, it will probably go up the same date as the awesome looking collector's edition.
@Kimyonaakuma Does it matter? If you don't buy it now, it will be gone forever. Err.. wait, maybe that's the plan
I'll buy it to throw at the kids lining up for the school buses for summer school. HaHA!
So what exactly will I be doing with this? I have some Amiibos from the original Smash series back on the Wii U, and I only used them a couple of times. To me the whole Amiibo thing feels like it is from a bygone era even though I know they work with the Switch. It just feels like an unnecessary waste of money to be still collecting these.
@Geobros same but that amibo- it needs a home.
I want to know what does it do?
It was also confirmed that every The Legend of Zelda amiibo, as well as the Smash Bros. amiibos based on Zelda characters will be compatible with The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. However, those details were not unveiled.
Guess we gotta wait
For those that missed out on the Amazon preorder, I was able to preorder through Best Buy. I'm so glad I'm still able to get one.
@Kai_ It looks like the Limited Edition has sold out on some retail sites already.
Pre-ordered 3 right after they were announced. Really lice the look of it!
Their already sold out everywhere i've looked(collectors edition game) @Baker1000 the only place i've found is second hand scalpers on Ebay. They want like 160-500 pounds though.
@Tipehtfomottob Awokened Link
I just pre ordered two to go with my two pre orders of Link's Awakening Dreamer Edition.
I pre-ordered mine 2 days ago at my local Game and now I've heard both the amiibo and collectors edition are sold out
@Octane Nah, just a THIEF.
Best Buy (as of writing this) has pre-orders open for this amiibo.
@JayJ Agreed, now I have almost every amiibo related to smash or my favorite nintendo titles. But i havent used hardly any of them! I remember using them for mario maker and yoshi's wooly world. Wooly World had arguably the best amiibo support.
Nintendo backed themselves into a corner though, with the lack of supply for the demand. You couldn't guarantee that everyone could get one. However, the pull of the figures were the in game content right? Well it was unfair for them to put out limited supply and lock in game content behind a figure. Especially when you couldn't buy amiibos past the first available day. They had so much potential but they really did squander it. If they had a few games dedicated to amiibo that would be hype.
@Ryu_Niiyama Where did you freaking ordering one!!! I have been looking basically everyday now D:
@Chunkboi79 Like I said I got it last week. Amazon. I always check NintendoEverything for preorder deets. NintendoLife is always behind.
@Kai_ I can't find it in any of the UK shops, not even Nintendo Store UK. The limited edition, I mean.
@LuciferOnReddit You should apply for a refund for this article. Send your request to [email protected]
its the creepy link amiibo
Nabbed my preorder off of Best Buy since they were only available from there at the time. Can't wait! The art style has grown on me.
“I see dead people”
Eh, I like the idea of the game and look forward to playing it but I think I will pass on this Amiibo. Not too big on the style and I have several versions of Link already.
Pre-ordered! I'm not into them nearly as much but this is a must have. Now when is Banjo Kazooie coming out??
Still don't like the style of the character
@TempOr My guess is that it will unlock special Chamber Dungeon pieces, or it may just refill your hearts (one use per day). I don't expect it will do much to be honest.
Orderd need this one!!
@TempOr. Although I can't remember what they said exactly I'm sure they mentioned it during the first E3 Treehouse session. I do remember them saying if you already own a different Link Amiibo it does the same thing.
@dazzleshell I believe scanning this amiibo when you are in a dungeon spawns a Shadow Link that chases you through the dungeon and you eventually have to fight (although it may work for other Links as you say). Sounds like a decent addition to gameplay, in particular for when you have finished the game and want something extra. Plus he looks like a champ.
The question is - better to use Amazon UK or Game UK for pre-order?
@Chunkboi79 I pre-ordered mine from Walmart yesterday but I also saw you could get it at Best Buy.
After seeing the insane prices for the BotW amiibos I instantly preordered the new Link amiibo as soon as it was listed (and it's already sold out at least in Germany). I hate the limited availability of these items
Woohoo, managed to pre-order one this time (along with Solid Snake). Thanks for the reminder!
It would be cool if some or all Zelda amiibo can be used to generate dungeon spawns.
And the missing is GAMESTOP also has a lising for it.

Buying from PlayAsia is last resort you not only pay more but pay for import duties so that is a extra cost you will pay for.
Any idea what Amiibos do in Link's Awakening?
Plus, will BotW be updated to become cute through the Link's Awakening Amiibo?
I got it in the US before it sold out. I do not even know what it does!
I just wanted it
Nintendo uk not delivering to Ireland is annoying. Amazon gets my money instead.
Bit of a heads up, Nintendo's UK Store has most of the Zelda amiibo back in stock for order (Ship late November)
https://store.nintendo.co.uk/amiibo/view-all.list?facetFilters=en_franchise_content:The+Legend+of+Zelda
Pre-ordered the amiibo and the game. Never played Link's Awakening and I'm very excited for this remake and though I tend not to buy amiibo anymore that one is so game accurate I had to.
I might get this guy ... I bought the Fire Emblem ones and the Diablo Loot Goblin (well worth it)
@theiRiS funny you mentioned this because I actually ordered mine from Walmart on the same day! Appreciate the update tho!
Almost pre-ordered from GameStop, but they charge an extra $10 to get it shipped to your house on release day. Lol no wonder they are struggling!
