Moonlighter is also in physical form from Amazon or Merge Games themselves.
Just got mine this morning.
And IT COMES WITH AN INSTRUCITON MANUAL!!
World of Final Fantasy MAXIMA for me this week!! I would like to have a special offer for the game like for FF XV pocket but ok, I think it worth 40 euros.
Better late than never. Is that a new record?
@JoeDiddley I think so. But we can only post it once we've received it
42 new games this week, that’s insane. On the other hand, only 4/5 of them are actually worth playing, so yeah...
And every week less and less Wii U offers. One would think that they're interested in selling as many games as possible for a dead system, but...
I guess I'll have to pay the full 9,99 for Shantae: Risky's Revenge - Director's Cut, the only thing I'm still interested in. And I really am, because some months ago I played the first entry on 3DS (GBC Virtual Console) and own the third and fourth games, so I want to play the second. But not at 10 euros. And it has been discounted before (if I'm not wrong, it was last December, but I missed it).
World of Final Fantasy for me too. I played it on PS Vita two years ago and it's worth a second trip.
It's very much Pokemon meets Final Fantasy with a coating of Kingdom Hearts.
One of the better pokemon games Game freak never made.
I have Valiant Hearts already on PC. But dang is it a good game. I personally cannot recommend it enough. Just be ready to dry your eyes with tissues.
Just bought forgotton anne. The art style is so incredible and ive heard very good things!
Has anyone played Pool Panic yet? I thought it looked kinda interesting but wanted to wait for a sale. It's 33% off at the moment so I'm tempted...
@nocdaes
Me too. I like the weirdness and generally like Pool.
The ugly artstyle and the mixed reception kept me hesitant though.
Already playing WoFF (it's a long road to where I left off on Vita, but the experience is nice to relive). There's a whole bunch of other stuff to look forward to (including Forgotton Anne, Trine and Road Redemption; plus, the first two Syberias are now offered in a neatly priced pack), but later; this payday I also invested in Valkyria Chronicles and Inner Space instead (and Tumblestone for good measure). And I hope to finally grab The Flame in the Flood as well, especially since it's on sale now, but it's for the weekend to tell (in terms of general expenses, I have no plans for Pokemon LGPE).
Only bought Astebreed; fun but hectic and story impossible to follow as text pops up right at the bottom with too much action.
As World of FF is digital only will wait for a sale.
@nhSnork
Better grab Don't Starve if you haven't already (instead of Flame in the Floods). Flame in the Floods has a great style and I liked the music, but it got unfair and repetitive really quickly.
@nhSnork How did you get on with Tumblestone?! I played it quite a while ago but didn't get very far... I think I'll give it another go. It's pretty hard, right?
@Tiefseemiez a lot of roguelites and survivals can feel this way, even the ones you generally enjoy (like Enter the Gungeon), but alternating between several different ones or taking a break for some other genre (especially an RPG where every bit you play can contribute to the progress) can help alleviate the tedium. And I'm still interested in playing this for the world and the aforesaid style; while I could try the Steam giveaway I got for GPD Win, it'll be much more convenient on Switch anyway.
As for Don't Starve, I got it practically at launch. Definitely a legend of procedurally generated survivals.
@nocdaes Only played a few stages so far, but yeah, the challenge is obvious. One of the games where you need to plan ahead lest you should run out of available moves. Figures that the creators of The Bridge wouldn't go easy on players. XD
I voted Nothing but had forgotten that I've already bought Rogue Legacy, thanks to South Africa.
Pretty lame offers this week though, nothing tempting me.
@nhSnork
Fair enough and the developers surely deserve support for their effort. And for the asking price the few hours refreshment you get from the great atmosphere and exploring something new probably are worth it. I felt a bit underwhelmed by the controls/crafting and the quantity of different islands coming from Don't Starve. Also wolves. So many wolves.
By the way: The Bridge is so great, but really surprisingly hard. I had to give up at a certain point. I got to a point where I just could not imagine a thing I could try to do and did not already fail at. Its crazy since the level is really small and seemingly simple. Usually I'm not that bad at puzzlers. Love the game for its originality and artstyle.
Can anyone recommend Valiant Hearts?
Nice, european eShop news back on a monday: Shame it's last weks update though.
@Tiefseemiez everyone who played it, I guess. The reviews were really nice
Hurrah! The EU list is here! I know hardly anybody knocks off a TRPG in a weekend in time for a review, but I'd love to know how Mercenaries Wings stacks up. Moonlighter, on the other hand, I'm already sold on - just not this week.
Edit: Valiant Hearts is a fairly charming adventure, and very apt given the centenary of Armistice Day. The gameplay is nothing to write home about, but the overall package is pretty memorable.
@Tiefseemiez yeah, The Bridge is very tough for me, but the game is a treat to experience even when you're failing for the hundredth time. Sort of like Braid in that regard. XD
Nothing for me this week but I will check for some sales. It is a shame that square is skipping a physical release. Digital I will wait for a 50% sale drop
4 days late, forgets to mention that YouTube was released.
@nocdaes - Bought it on sale and played five or six tables last night. The actual pool playing is not as tight as I would like, but overall it’s pretty fun, and it certainly has a bizarre, Adult Swim vibe. Probably best played in shorter bursts. Weird, whacky, and seems like it’s worth the sale price even though it’s not mind blowing.
Valiant Hearts, Thrash Rally & Road Redemption for me. Great week!
@Tiefseemiez I played over half of it on my Nvidia Shield, its brilliant.
@DockEllisD @bimmy-lee Cheers guys. I think I'll have a go.
Valiant hearts is a amazing game. Switch players are in for a treat. Its fun,crazy and very sad in places you got to play it, plus you get to play as Marie Curie.
@Moroboshi876 I'd wait till the usual Xmas sale and if the bargains you want arnt there, then pay full price.
Or perhaps see if you can get a eShop top up card for cheap like store credit/loyalty points or as a stocking filler. XD
@Angelic_Lapras_King I've though both. A sale until Christmas tops and getting an eShop card for less, but the latter I've gotten a couple times (usually a voucher on eBay that I use with eShop codes, it's not like people just sell them cheaper) and... I end up using them on Hamster games in order to make them cheaper.
Thanks for the suggestions, though.
@Moroboshi876 No worries. I do recall getting the Risky Boots DLC for Half Genie Hero on Wii U last Xmas for half price so it should be more than likely.
@Angelic_Lapras_King I hope you're right. But last week some Shantae games were on sale. Strangely not this one.
A couple of nice games have released but...RDR2! The sales are lack luster but I think that publishers are holding back for the holiday season.
@Yasume Don't tell me that you have already played all 42 new games and that you already came to the conclusion that 4 or 5 are the ones worth playing.
This is pure insult to us (the readers) and to them (the developers).
@Cosats I’m pretty sure that most people would agree with me when I say a lot of the games on that list are garbage, so I don’t think that I’m insulting the entire community here. But hey if you’ve been eagerly anticipating Timber Tennis or Urban Champion, that’s good for you, I guess.
About frickin time!!
I hope this goes back to every Monday, just like it used to.... Ahhhh memories.....
