Overall it isn't very exciting, I might buy Shovel Knight because I've never played it but that's all...
At last! DRAGON BLAZE and BAD DUDES Vs. DRAGON NINJA. Both shall be mine plus the Switch demos.
Also quite a few to add to the wishlist such as Neo Geo puzzler GURURIN and BOMBSLINGER but my precious few gaming pennies can only stretch so far. GRACEFUL EXPLOSION MACHINE or whatever it's called and STREETS OF RED also look appealing at those discounted prices.
Great chance to buy Shovel Knight for those who don't have it, ahead of the free King of Cards expansion. As for me, maybe Dragon Blaze, if I can squeeze it into my gaming schedule.
Oh, Europe is getting Sumer now as well? Interesting. I will want to see a review of it. Anything that says it's board-game like and isn't Monopoly has my interest.
Also Dragon Blaze, Regalia and #Breakforcists. But I'll wait for a review of the latter two.
I might double dip on VVVVVV though. Maybe I'll finally be able to clear Veni Vidi Vici on a different platform...
That 80% deal on Robonauts though!
@Lroy Graceful EM is a beautiful game imho
Oxenfree for only 4,99? I already own it on my Xbox One, but that is very, very tempting.
Rogue Aces isn't on the list for some reason. It is in the discount section though with 20% off. I was going to buy it anyway so a discount on top is a nice surprise . I also bought Star Force to complete my old school shoot-em-up collection.
I already picked up Dragon Blaze and Bad Dudes from the US Eshop during the week.
Don't Starve and The Adventure Pals for me this week. Have already imported a copy of Gal*Gun 2 which was well worth it. Also, it's gotta be said, Drone Fight looks so incredibly terrible from the trailer and screenshots.
@Akropolon if you haven't played it much yet and make good use of Switch's handheld mode, I'd say it's a no-brainer for this price.
@OorWullie I added STAR FORCE to my collection last week. It's a classic. Plays great even today. Wonderful instantly recognisable theme music too. Was in heaven listening to MOON PATROL and then STAR FORCE last week 👍
@SuperCharlie78 Thanks 👍
Already preordered galgun which I should be able to play tomorrow. I'm also interested in Regalia, but I'll probably get that on PC instead.
Just Dragon Blaze me thinks.
@Lroy Yep just had a quick go on it and it's great. Looks very nice in TATE mode too and fills up a good bit of the screen. Agreed about the theme tune, instantly familiar. Well glad I bought it. That's me got every single old school shooter now.
Already downloaded Don't Starve and I like what I see so far! World generation takes somewhat longer than the mobile version I tried before that, but quite tolerable for such a procedure. Surprisingly no touchscreen controls (were there none on Vita either?), but the buttons work fine - and frankly even much better when it comes to browsing inventory and craftworks. You don't need to tap stuff every time you so much as want to see the name or a context menu, there are quick visual prompts every time you approach something so it's harder to confuse buttons even in a hurry, stacked item actions (like planting cones) work without having to re-enter the command for each piece, axes and pickaxes need a held button rather than "tap per strike"... okay, that was wordy, but long story short, I don't see myself returning to the Android version anytime soon.
Regalia, Daryl and Gal*Gun 2 are in my wishlist, although I'll naturally seek to play Double Peace first. VR is not an option and as is sadly apparent, neither is the actual first game still stuck on PS3 and XB360.
Got Subsurface Circular, could be tempted by Streets of Red, Regalia looks very nice...
Give me VVVVVV or Shovel Knight in physical and might think about them on switch
No review for Shelter Generations? Looks interesting but at that price I'm not going in blind.
@OorWullie Nice! I know I still have LAST RESORT and ZED BLADE left to pick up. Possibly another one or two I'm forgetting. Likely just use my Gold coins each time they stack to £6/£7. Or when they get picked for the weekly high-score challenge. Whichever comes first 😉
I've never understood why Nintendo releases certain demos in differing countries.
Got Dragon Blaze.
It's awesome! I hope the next Psikyo shmups from Zerodiv will be Space Bomber and Strikers 1999/1945 III.
You may as well just post a link to the actual press release. These articles are so soulless now.
Definitely up for adding some of the discounted games to my backlog - Oxenfree, skies, Nicalis titles etc
Think I’ll pick up Graceful Explosion Machine. Don’t see that one getting a physical release.
I miss the old Wii U times when the influx of new games was manageable and the games library wasn't overflowing with tons of crappy indie games... this is Steam all over again.
NL gives Rogue Aces a 9 and yet no option to vote? Perhaps they assume its a foregone conclusion 😂
Dont starve, Bombslinger and Rogue Aces
Adventure Pals or Regalia for me, all depends on how the latter scores review-wise you guy's.
AP was totally not on my radar, then when you gave it an 8 I went and watched a YT playthrough and now I am seriously considering it.
Regalia is isometric RPG goodness I am all over that and then I may still pick up Ittle Dew 2 +
Bad Dudes is more complete than I expected, with the charge attack intact and the option to not have any scanlines. Still doesn't have the Japanese version, but I didn't know the other things had been fixed.
Rocket League (Psyonix) - £15.00 Previously £15.04
Really?
My eShop still shows bulb boy full price
Am thinking of buying VVVVVV. Not sure whether I'm ready for it after almost completing Slime San though as the last few levels are really testing my patience.
@nhSnork
I love Don't Starve. I have it on PC, but decided to go for the Wii U version some time ago. Was a little disappointed that the Menu-Icons are waaaaay too small on Wii U. So that version didn't get a lot of playtime. Is it better on Switch? I couldn't read a thing playing on Wii U (on the TV, by the way) at all.
Probably I am gonna buy it anyway. Didn't play the shipwrecked DLC yet. Don't Starve is one of the VERY rare games I don't mind to double dip on. Especially since it would be great for on the go.
Other than that I might get Adventure Pals and Subsurface Circular.
If reviews are good, maybe also Burly Men at Sea sometime. Or Masters of Anima. But not right now.
Looking like Dragon Blaze for me this week.
Umming and ahhing about Regalia at the moment. Hearing about some UI awkwardness with it.
I'm quite interested in Don't starve but I've got a bit of a game pile up at the minute. I've still got to finish post game Disgaea 5 then I've got Xenoblade chronicles 2 or Stardew valley to begin. On top of that I have the urge to dive back into Zelda post game for a bit.
@Tiefseemiez I can't judge TV output since I play in handheld mode, but all the stuff looks clear and readable on the Switch screen to me.
@nhSnork
Thank you!
I bought it on Friday and was happy to see that aswell.
Only issue I had so far is that beefalos are invisble most of the time except for their shadows. And rabbit holes are never visible at all.
Do you have the same issue? Or anyone else?
Seems like a strangely obvious bug to overlook, but I contacted Klei and asked if this is known and will be patched.
@Aven
Don't start Don't Starve then.
Me and my boyfriend were hardcore addicted to this. You can play this for hours and won't even notice. It has this "I am just going to do this one thing!" kind of thing going on where you end up playing another hour because there is always one more thing to do until you die in this game. And then a new character unlocks and you want to try it out immediately.
@Tiefseemiez it's a seemingly common issue but only affecting the vanilla mode and I tried RoG from the start, so I've only read about it. Klei are reportedly aware and have confirmed that the patch is pretty much knocking on eShop's door already, so this should be solved soon.
