CIRCLE Entertainment is still extremely active on the 3DS eShop, and is publishing another title in the coming days. This time around it's Noah's Cradle, developed by Silver Star Japan.
While the name may make it sound like a peculiar religious edutainment title, it's actually an action flying game that brings the Ace Combat series to mind. It promises six levels and has a heck of a backstory; check out the press release excerpt and trailer below.
There are no longer any people who themselves have memory of inhabiting that planet.
However, its name has been passed down amongst the thousands sent into space on a ship for the purpose of avoiding the extinction of the human race.
Liking this to the one from the legend of the Great Flood that destroyed Earth, people began referring to this ship as "Noah's Cradle".
One such Cradle struggled along until it reached a large gas planet. Confirmed within the planet's atmosphere were gigantic creatures that ranged from between an estimated several hundred to several thousand kilometers in length. The harsh atmosphere wasn't the only thing that stood in the Cradle's way as it descended into the atmosphere. The Cradle was under attack. Whirling in the unstable atmosphere were multiple small aircraft type objects. This was an unexpected disturbance to the Cradle's investigation, but giving up on it was never an option. The people were far too tired of their endless, aimless voyage amongst the stars.
Thus, the battle began.
It's dramatic stuff, and the core concept certainly has some potential. It arrives on 22nd September for $5 in North America, and on 29th September for €5 in Europe; are you tempted to take off with this one?

I THINK I have this one on my JP N3DS and.... It's kinda meh.
You're better off replaying Assault Horizon Legacy on Ace difficulty for the 50th time
I played Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces on the Wii which was made by the Ace Combat guys. I barely got started on it but the few levels I've played have been exhilarating, so I guess this is a good thing.
You had me before the article went live.
And this is why you shouldn't immediately attack any alien starship that visits your planet.
